  1. I wonder if that was my old zed... did it have black wheels? If it was it belongs to a guy who isn't on the forum....
  2. I did make a decision.... Went for the Ark Grip, a purchase from first impressions of pics and YouTube vids, and it has not disappointed! Absolutely love the fact it roars when you want and there is no drone at all at normal cruising speeds. I went with my heart (brave decision having never heard one lol), and it suits me perfectly í ½í¸Š The only thing to be wary of is speed bumps.... I swear I annoy more drivers going slow over them than I do with the noise.... Just got a be careful in my neck of the woods in case Ronnie Pickering is ever following me haha!
  3. Bit late to post, but fab service from Adrian, from initial queries about different exhausts right through to sale and delivery! The Ark Grip puts a smile on my face every time I get in the zed Have been looking at more Torqen bits, can see some more sales coming your way soon!
  4. So finally got my hands on the keys for the Cayman, and this is what happened: Drove from Oxford to Gloucester on a mixture of dual carriageway, twisty roads and town driving. The clutch is bloody heavy, put my old 350z to shame (I used to think that was heavy!) The car is very noisy in the cabin due to the location of the engine, but once you get the revs up it sings, and it seems to love the higher revs. The handling is also phenomenal.... It's so responsive on corners that it blows the zed out of the water (don't ban me haha!) The consumption seems to better than the zed, but I would imagine that's down to it being much lighter. It is fun to drive, but you do have to work hard to drive it if that makes any sense? MrNiki is planning on retrofitting cruise control for the high miles he does on the motorway, followed by updating the stereo, and finally a milltek exhaust. He plans on keeping it for a few years, however we will have to buy a cheap shed as 2 x 2 seater cars aren't the most practical. Would I buy one myself? No... For one reason only, it's not as much of a head turner as the zed, and I do love a good pose!!
  5. Got a wave back today from a grey 370z near the bp garage outside camp Also spotted a couple of 350z's on camp, namely a black 350z parked on the road by the sgts mess car park, and also a ginger which I've seen driving around a few times!
  6. After reading the ups and downs of Porsche ownership, the other half has finally traded in his 1 series for a Cayman S... His 123d msport had both turbos on the way out (whine was unbearable... On the car!!) and at 100k mileage it was time for trading in for something fun. He is planning on paying the fee for the bearing issue and getting it fixed, I swear I do listen and he has told me the TLA for it before.... And including a clutch and flywheel change while the engine is out. It's a 2006 model with 47000 on the clock, so I said he's as well to with a dual mass flywheel etc. I'm not the most educated when it comes to cars, I seriously wing it, but here's a pic of how pretty she is: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Is anybody going in for the whole fancy dress thing on the Saturday?
  8. Can't wait for this now! Doing the Sat and Sun and camping the Sat night (even though I live less than a mile away, all for the experience!) Booked up for the drifting experience on the Saturday, should be entertaining!! Look forward to meeting you all soon
  9. The USA forum says that too, the ARK doesn't by all accounts... My heart is set on the ARK I think
  10. Prefer the look of the grip
  11. My dream car..... Sooooo jealous, she's a beauty!! B)
  12. Re-igniting this post for anyone who has opinions of either of the following exhausts: ARK Grip Fast Intentions TDX I ultimately have my heart set on this style of exhaust, just stuck between these 2 in particular. My car will not be lowered, so the fact that they sit lower shouldn't be an issue (I hope) I'm not going for HFC's/decats. This is my only exhaust mod... Any thoughts/advice? Loudness is not a deciding factor anymore, I'm aware of dB for each. Cheers
  13. I *cough* flashed you just outside the gates and got a wave back! Didn't catch the reg though...
  14. Missniki and mrsniki are both me haha! Got married between times so you can take 'missniki' off the list, ta! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. Haha, no pics at present, but I will show you tomorrow!! It's not even funny....
  18. Regardless of what type of roadster you drive, it CANNOT be called a hairdressers car mainly because when you get out of it, you look like wurzel gummidge!! A hairdressers car to me is one that you get out of with a hard top and your hair is perfect.... I do not look perfect after a run in my beast with the lid down. Far from it. Thank god I'm married... Nobody else would pick me up with 'roadster hair'!! Just a little vent.... Niki
  19. I'm gonna have to back out of this, will be in Gloucester that weekend now. Gutted I'm gonna be missing out on what looks like a cracking event! Look forward to seeing the pics though
  20. Finally remembered to drop a review on here for anybody looking to purchase either a zed, or any specialist car from Parkway: As some of you know, i was in the market for an automatic 370Z roadster for a while, and decided that although a white one was top of the list, any colour would do! Anyway, a few weeks back Parkway advertised that they were getting a white roadster in so i decided to go and have a look I cannot recommend this place enough to purchase a car from!! The guy i dealt with was Jonathan, one of the owners, and it was a pleaseure doing business with him! From the mechanics to the car valet guys right up to the owners, every single person was welcoming and friendly, even the dog that was on site came to say hello! The impression i get from the dealership, with it being high end cars, is that most people who visit know what they are looking for and therefore do not need to be patronised or given the hard sell! Me and MrNiki were allowed to take the zed for a test drive ourselves, and there was no nonsense when deciding to buy the car, i negotiated a very small amount for my trade in, but didn't need to negotiate the price of the zed, it was very fair! Whilst i was doing all the necessaries involved in buying, one of the other guys was chatting away to MrNiki in the showroom, not just about cars but about general everyday things, which kept him entertained for a bit. I had an issue with the car, and on return it was identified and rectified within 15 minutes of being there, with Jonathan going above and beyond in my opinion by offering to source and replace the two rear tyres after an issue was found with them (see 370Z tyre section for thread) http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/97430-run-flats-on-rays/ . Aftercare seems to be as high importance as selling the cars, a breath of fresh air after dealing with many other garages!! I was told that if i had any issues at all to get in touch with them, and it was a genuine request. Mr Niki was very impressed, he's even considering getting in touch with them when he's ready to buy his Porsche, it seems that if you are a genuine buyer and they do not have exactly what you want, they will help you out as best they can. Anyway, its worth having a look at the stocklist on their website, and if you want any more information about them, just shout out! I don't usually do reviews so i've maybe missed out stuff that actually matters to most buyers but the intention is there at least!! Niki Mod Edit Dropped the tyre link in here too Niki
  21. Welcome, and nice zed! If you can get up to Lincoln, Newton and Bailey are an independant Nissan specialist in the city centre who have had plenty of dealings with zeds, they used to look after my 350Z! If not, as recommended by other and you mention yourself, Cougar Store in Leicester are great! I'm originally from Stamford and to my knowledge, there aren't any places down in South Lincs that would cater to your needs.... Niki
  22. Bought my last set from Tarmac, but that was over 18 months ago.... Worth dropping him a message!
  23. Cheers Will! Fingers crossed i can make it up there now
