  1. Hi all, Been on here for a while, more reading than contributing but loving the forum! Now on my 3rd Zed and gone for a roadster this time round. Getting it home on Tuesday when I can tax it, can't wait. Love these cars soooo much, although the higher tax bracket is painful, lot of car for the money though. Will put some pics up when she is home.
  2. Can anyone recommend a good outdoor cover for the above please? My car is garaged all winter so only comes out to live on the drive for the Summer months. Am looking for a good fitted cover that will protect it from rain, too much heat on the hood etc. Have been looking everywhere but so much choice. Hoping that someone on here can point me in the right direction. Many thanks.
  3. Just been serviced at Nissan so would hope it was ok? On idle and cold it's about a quarter reading on the gauge, it does rise when accelerating
  4. Hi all, Just put a deposit on a cracking 350z gt convertible, 2007 facelift but not the bonnet bulge, hr upgrade. Car has sat nav but no phone answer button on the steering wheel like my 2004 gt does. Also, the console is different and there doesn't appear to be an attachment on the armrest for the Bluetooth adaptor to go? I asked the trader but he didn't know if it had phone prep or not. Also, wondered what the oil pressure gauge should read on idle, seems a bit low compared to mine. It does go up when you accerelate but suits quite low? Thanks in anticipation.
  5. Thanks, have looked up Depo and they are DOT marked, should be ok....... I hope, time will tell
  6. Thanks for the info, these are Depo ones and fit the same as originals. Think the bulge is more a bad picture as they fit quite flush to the body. Thanks for replying though
  7. My bose is skipping, does anyone know if they can be repaired at a reasonable price or does anyone have one in good working order they might want to sell? I am no techie and would have to get someone to fit it but want to steer clear of stuff from ebay. If anyone has any recommendations of a good aftermarket unit that would be easy to fit and still keep the quality of sound I would appreciate any suggestions. Only option I have so far is going to Halfords and getting them to fit but can't seem to get much help from our local branch as to what to go for or what it would involve cost and additional parts wise. Thanks in anticipation.
  8. I bought one of these a while ago and can highly recommend it. Looks fab
  9. Fitted them today...........here's a pic
  10. Can't see any 'e' marks on them, seller was positive they were UK road worthy as the LED's were the same as later models. They seem good quality but no good unless the will pass an MOT. Oh well, will find out tomorrow. Have some comeback if not
  11. Hi all, Recently bought some aftermarket rear lights for my zed. Good quality ones and the usual bulb will be fine. Connections all good and solid, came from a UK car. They light up Z at night and look all ok. DOT marked. Asked the question twice before I bought them 'Will they pass an MOT and be road legal in this country' and was assured yes as the leds are the same as the later models and the seller was a 350z specialist. Now got them not quite so sure. Seem good quality but not sure what to look out for? Will be taking them to local MOT station tomorrow to double check. They are from a 2004 car so are compatible but want to make sure they are road legal. Any help would be appreciated in case I need to return them. Thanks in anticipation
  12. Me too! My Bose has given up and being a girl I have no idea what to go for other than to go to the local ICE place and trust I am being offered the right advice?!
  13. Love that spoiler, perfect colour too Are you happy to post to UK Mainland? Just shaking the piggy bank to see what I have left, very tempted. The led's might have to wait
  14. Some really nice 250's out there now and very new biker friendly. Would highly recommend the CBR 250 (Honda) only launched last year and the Kawasaki 250 Ninja, all 33bhp legal but nicely set up with good looks and easy to ride. These are the top sellers at the moment, you could always try the Honda Cbf 250 (bit more touring style and have been out for about 8 years). Think you will be pleasantly surprised, have a bit more go than a 125 but not stupidly over the top. Good to cut your teeth on, Good luck
  15. I passed my test years back but new bikes are so much easier than old ones. Try and go for a new fuel injected model ( Honda cbr 125/ Yamaha ybr 125) really easy to use and no messing about with chokes and carbs. Cut your teeth on something like that, they have enough to get you out of trouble but are forgiving too if you stall or are on a wet road. Old bikes are great but things have moved on, not only will they will expensive to insure but they haven't got the light weight of a newer bike or the new technology. Once you can progress up to a 33bhp go for something like a Kawasaki 250 Ninja, fab bikes, look the dogs bits and are very learner friendly. Resale value is great too if you want to move on after a full test. I got back into biking a few years ago and have one, great fun but not dangerously fast
  16. Look really nice, can see me spending a fortune on my new Z. Worth it though, fab forum, so much information and good ideas.
  17. My new Zed, only had her 10 days. My second Z and loving them even more
  18. You will love the Z. I have always been into the Rs Fords, especially my cherished Escort Rs Cosworth. However, the Zed can be kept at home and used daily. If I had to compare the two, the Z wins hands down for looks and modern technology. You can't beat a Z for looks and performance and at such an affordable price these days. Enjoy it
  19. Hi Sarah, Nice to see another newbie lady owner join the club. I joined last week and they have been fab and very helpful. Lots of advice and great deals to be had, I have spent too much already Is this your first Z or have you had one before?
  20. Will be getting a quote on the refurb on my rays this week, if it's stupid money I will go for a set of these they look far nicer than anything I have seen so far Look lovely on the white 370, hope they look as good on a graphite 350
  21. Very nice, tempted as looking for a nice set on mine or getting a refurb done. All the wheels I have seen advertised seem to be a difficult fit due to Brembo brakes? Do these go straight on?
  22. Hi all, My zed will be due for a p3 type service in next few months due to age and mileage (52k). Want to keep her tip top and not handy myself at all with mechanics. She is a GT Uk model, have a Nissan garage close by but personally prefer to use a specialist if possible. Has had full Nissan so far but I am not fussed if the next is Nissan or specialist really. Thanks to Alex (Zmanalex) can supply all the parts needed to include gearbox flush etc but wondered if anyone could recommend (if it's allowed ) or point me in the right direction to a local dealer or specialist they might have used and can recommend. Located Fareham area, in between Portsmouth and Southampton. Thanks
  23. Thanks Alex, No where near as bad as a Vw costs on parts, thanks for the prices which are very reasonable as always
  24. What a craftsman. You are pretty local to me (Whiteley) and we have had a chat in the past about you doing some valeting on my Ford RS Collection. Sadly they are still away in storage and not seen daylight yet this year but maybe next year. Reassuring to see the top quality of work you do though, incredible results. Definitely be in touch to have my classics given the pampered treatment
