  1. Lol joker, in all seriousness you'll be amazed at the difference a good tyre will make to the overall driving experience, expecially on a car like the Z
  2. Get them off ASAP lol, vreds or Michelin go for mate. Have a look into what will suit you best
  3. Are they the original Bridgestone re040? They awful I've heard plus the Bridgestone re050 we put on most BMW are pretty shite to, definatley go with Michelin PSS, the vredstein ultrac sessanta are meant to be really good to if you can't quite stretch, Plus they look great!
  4. How big are they do you know?
  5. For that price you can pretty much get Michelin pilot super sports (basically the best tyre you can get) 245/45r18 is 175 and 225/45r18 is 158 iirc, go for them mate don't worry about the extra couple quid, your car will thank you for it! Plus will be a lot safer braking distance wise and handling grip to, you'll notice a hell of a difference after the running in period. Drive carefully for about 250 miles while the bed in
  6. I only saw red because that car was my pride and joy for three years, went everywhere and done everything in it lol you'll understand when I put a couple photos up fella Yes he would have needed a new door, but don't park right next to the only car on that level and have the cheek to dent it and not expect a reaction. Tony at dent angel fella, won't let anyone else touch my car for that sort of work
  7. What budget are you looking to spend a tyre don? There's plenty of choice, wouldn't touch federal personally. Tyres I would go for depending on budget Falken FK452/Toyo T1R lowest Vredstein ultrac sessanta middle Michelin pilot super sport top Tyres are the only thing keeping contact with the road fella, don't skimp on them imo
  8. Adam, yes I'm sure it was that cars owner. Il post a picture of my old car and show you that there not a single mark on it until then, cost me 40 to get that ding out, cheap i know but it's the principle
  9. Thats one thing that really gets on my tits, car park dings. I remember shopping in kingston in my previous car, parked at the top level in the corner and i was the only one on that level, came back a few hours later to find and old banger corolla right next to mine. I knew as soon as i was walking up to it that theres probably a dent, got there looked down the side and yep a nice dent on the door. Red mist decended whilst in front of the mrs, so i rugby kicked the bottom of the guys door and caved it in the mrs stood there in shock happy i the knowledge that door was ****ed i jumped in the car and drove off. No respect for other peoples property leads to consequences as far as im concerned
  10. The one you went to in the snow
  11. Some more updates for the record, coming along quite nicely now getting ready for the road trip in June Went into work today to get the standard y pipe back on, seems to have taken off some of the barky edge it had when it was all fitted so im glad its a bit quieter now. Just got to let the decats coke up and get a bit quiter now and it should be bang on then! So the pretty much new Cobra y pipe is for sale if anyones interested, il get an ad up for it very soon, its only done about 60 miles since last week! Whilst at work i fitted my carbon sills which ive had sitting around since november Im really impressed with these, they fit like a glove! and look mighty really really pleased with them. Also fitted the Samco intake hose i bought last month Stockpiling a list of bits for the trip which is slowly getting smaller, which will all be fitted a few weeks before the trip is due Gold HEL braided clutch hose HKS hybrid oil filter Next up i need to buy for the stockpile is Gold HEL braided brake lines Front and rear EBC yellowstuff pads Front and rear Michelin pilot super sports Silkolene Pro S 5w30 NGK or HKS spark plugs Need to get the wheels refurbished and Eibach spacers done soon aswell So there we have it for another update
  12. Where's that car park Jordan?
  13. I wouldn't have a v2 and a charge speed rear because the front has canards on it once you add them and the rear is vented, imo it doesn't really go together. If it was mine I'd keep the bodykit standard and add carbon accents everywhere, but don't do that as I'm doing it lol!
  14. Il need a few more soon mark, will come to you guys for them, completely forgot when I was there last Friday would have bought some then lol Going for these now jnstead of nissans on your recommendation mark, I've had a look into the hawk pads aswell, also looking into endless at the moment to
  15. No Dip not ignoring you Havent been out in a while either tbh, you coming sunday to box hill? Sam, it sounds absolutely brutal and quite a few people have already commented on how good it sounds but its slightly to loud for me so this saturday when im fitting my carbon sills il be putting the stock y pipe and centre pipe back on to see how much quieter it is, hopefully it will be spot on then i can sell the other two bits and have the perfect setup for me Whilst writing back i have another update to sling in the journal Last friday when the snow was pouring i was at Abbey motorsport having the car done, First of all the guys did the stage one work for the magazine then once completed cracked on with the stage two work and tweaking the Uprev again to suit. Couldnt really test the car on the way home but one thing i did notice was the sharper throttle response. Now the snow has pretty much gone ive 'used' the car a bit more and can definately feel a punchier mid range and greater pull everywhere in the rev range, car is now running 300bhp bang on which im happy with, gained a nice healthy 20lb ft aswell. Got some snaps of the work being carried out: Motordyne plenum spacer HKS hybrid filter and velocity stack Stage one parts
  16. Afternoon all Reason i ask is becuase ive ordered a HKS hybrid oil filter from Sumo Power but the car selection changed to a HR from DE as i put the order through, so rang them up and asked them to change it. But worst comes to worst even if they still do send a HR fitment one will it fit my DE? If not back it goes Cheers Arran
  17. 06 airbox mod and performance filter, y pipe thats your lot really fella without going big bucks Could take cats of for de cats
  18. CSL gets carbon front and rear bumpers, carbon bootlid with ducktail spoiler, carbon roof, cardboard boot foor mat, lightweight plastic rear screen and windows, carbon airbox and new map for 16 extra bhp, CSL wheels, stripped out interior with carbon fibre door cards and centre console, CSL numbered plaque Auto xenons, auto air con and a stereo are optional extras And thats on top of the spec shared with CS (bar the CS vs CSL wheels)
  19. Gets m track mode in smg like CSL, CS wheels not CSL slightly different wheels, CSL steering rack, competition front discs, CSL springs and the suede wheel It's a compromise between the normal version and CSL just adding a few extra driver orientated bits
  20. Had mine done on Friday by mark, mines on 69k. Nothing for an engine like the VQ fella
  21. Standard looking for the sleeper effect, that's style way to do it imo Spend the money saved on extra performance/handling parts
  22. Keeping them for the power and that I won't have to go back to abbey for a tweak on the uprev as the lambdas are turned off, keeping the stock y pipe and centre won't be that restrictive so will e a minimal loss Dave there's no vibrations just a serious increase in volume compared to the resonated cobra y pipe back on its own, decats have given a bit of a rasp which I like so hopefully it will all be toned down by the stock y pipe and centre being fitted again
  23. Well had car all done at abbey, lovely weather getting home...... Not lol Couldn't really test the car out but the throttle response is improved l so far, it's also now to loud for my liking with the full system so I'm going to put the stock y pipe and centre pipe back on to see how that sounds and keep the decats and cobra backbox, don't want to do it but I can't live with it like that and the mrs hates it from when i took her out in it when I got back. So may have a brand new cobra y pipe (literally will have done 50 miles) and a 500 mile old cobra resonated centre pipe for sale next weekend.
  24. Incorrect fella, everything about the E9x M3 is different to the cooking models, Front subframe and suspension completely different as is the rear, brake setup etc, bodywork and dimensions. Its a different car altogether the only thing it might share with the E9x 3 series is the bonnet and boot roundels However after a remap, FMIC, decat etc the 335i will beat an M3 in a drag race not around a track though
