  1. My car isn't lowered, would look better if it was.
  2. Hi mate, I will be selling my bronze 18" Rota GTRs for around that price soonish. Once I get back from offshore. They've done less than 2000 miles with no marks on them at all. Yokohama Advan Sport tyres. 8.5" wide the front, and 9.5" at the rear. No need for spacers. Cost £1550 new. This is a photo of them on my Zed here. PM me if interested.
  3. I think this app is great. Especially if you frequent a few different forums! Good to be able to access them all from one place.
  4. I've just fitted one of these to replace standard, blowing y-pipe. Good fit and well made, so gets my approval. Also almost half the price of the nearest aftermarket pipe.
  5. Back! Painted, serviced, MOT'd... Begging to be driven.
  6. Use the Tapatalk app, it works really well.
  7. Well, not a very exciting post but an important one nonetheless, first of all the car passed it's MOT first time! Well, it failed but only on the hole in the exhaust and I've already got a replacement y-pipe which is due to be fitted this week. I also received a box of goodies from Zmanalex. It was due for a service and unfortunately there's a gap in my book from 07-09, so I just wanted to get EVERYTHING done for piece of mind. So all that is getting done this week. The car has ended up costing me a fair bit over the last couple months and I have taken the decision to part with it next month as it is time to finally move out and need the money for a deposit! I am going on the road trip next time I'm home from offshore with some guys from the rig and after that I will be putting up a for sale ad! I just don't use it enough to justify the expense. To the gym and back a few times a week! At least if I do the road trip below I feel a lot better about parting with it. I think I'll prob be selling the wheels seperately as well, so if anyone is interested in either, give me a shout. Here's the planned route for next month.
  8. Yeah, love these cars as well. Much better value than the M3 I'd say. Photos!

My dream car, Will definitely own one one day. More photos!
  10. Very nice, not sure about the white section on the front bumper though.
  11. Haha, I started with £1500 and they're now worth about £150. It was a company drilling in Somalia and they came up dry at the first location, so they plummeted. I've pretty much written the money off, if they ever come up again then it's a bonus. They have licences to drill other places so you never know. This is the company http://www.lse.co.uk/SharePrice.asp?SharePrice=RMP I would say it's not really worth investing as small as £50, each transaction costs about a tenner.
  12. Yeah sorry, forgot to mention that. http://www.halifax.co.uk/sharedealing/our-accounts/share-dealing-account/ Reading the comments on http://www.lse.co.uk/ can sometimes be helpful when making decisions, but you never really know what to believe. Socially acceptable gambling. And it's not been a good few years for the market. I've got a couple friends who are WAAAY down.
  13. I just opened a Halifax share dealing account. Was pretty straight forward. I have no idea how it all works though and the shares I bought in this drilling company are currently down 89%
  14. My dad has a 2003 Scooby WRX. It's very smooth to drive and he hasn't had any mechanical issues with it. It's lacks that 'oomph' the Z has though. I would be tempted to go for an STI if i were you.
  15. Great idea! Would be good for festivals as well.
  16. I'm a rig mechanic on the Brent Delta and have been for almost 2 years. 2 on, 3 off. Was supposed to be away yesterday, but they are only just doing LAST Friday's flights today, due the fog being so bad. So looks like I'm going to have a pretty short trip when we eventually do get away. There's no way I could go back to mon-fri job now. Couldn't get one that pays anywhere near the same and I massively enjoy just being able to do nothing but relax for days on end when I'm home. I work less than half the year, it's mental.
  17. I just got a full external respray of my car, and that was £1500. But that was mate's rates. The paint alone cost £400. I think you'd be looking at at least £2000 at a garage.
  18. Ok, cheers for that. What type of paint did you use?
  19. Wait a minute, I rarely get more than 16mpg around town... I just assumed this was normal.
  20. Could someone who has resprayed their handles with actual paint, as opposed to plastidip please tell me the process they went through and what products they used? I'm looking to respray mine black. Did you emery them down first, then apply a primer? Or does a plastic paint like Plastikote work well enough? Cheers.
  21. nice rims, terrible photos! Can barely see them, haha.
  22. Myprotein is great. I use the impact whey protein, strawberry cream flavour. Mixes well and the flavour is so good that I would just drink it all the time. 2.5kg bag lasts me 2.5 trips offshore, with 3 shakes a day. So that's 5 weeks for £35 or whatever it is. Can't beat that.
  23. Well, some of you may have seen my other thread about my car getting keyed on almost every panel. It was so bad, and along with a scrape on the front bumper and stone chips all over the front end, it made sense to get the whole car resprayed. So here it is after a quick wash this morning. Delighted with the job, it's like brand new again! I've also spent the last few days with the seats out using the Gliptone leather repair. Overall, I'm fairly happy with them. Although if I was doing it again, I would definitely use a spray gun and would do the whole seats, as opposed to just the bolsters. When using a sponge, you're obviously always going to get some streak marks. I'm hoping these will wear in a bit with some use though. Here some photos anyway. Before... During... After... Next up at the end of the month is a Cobra exhaust, as mine is blowing. Full pelt P3 service with everything getting done and then the first MOT I've had to get on a car in years!! Also had the road tax this month, so it's been an expensive wee time. The car will be in A1 condition once it's all done though! Oh, also ordered some trim dye. Going to see if I do something about the rubber trim which is looking slightly perished...
  24. Has the cost of the y-pipe really gone up by 40%? I wasn't expecting it to be that much. Need to go and replan my budget for next month now.
