  1. Well in that case il jist send you the pics and you can make up your own story of my build haha
  2. haha ive been meaning to update this for ages. ive done so much to it that its gona take ages. watch this space lol
  3. it will affect it slightly but probably not enough to notice. if it has to be mapped again it will only be a minor tweek so wont cost the same as a new map
  4. the car looks so much different with that bumper. bigger gap for me too. im going drifting next sunday at crail again if you fancy buying another bumper
  5. Someone told me that you just put the hydro sock on when it's raining and take it back off again if it's dry. Not easy with Petes setup
  6. I had a little starlet turbo years ago and bought a blitz sus power filter, similar shape to a k and n but was a fine metal mesh with no oil. It would be perfect for you. Think it was about £180 at the time
  7. I'd say bin that filter and get a k and n or something. It must be clogged beyond cleaning or the supports inside have bent and weakened
  8. The final drive is not just beneficial to the drag strip, it transforms the way the car drives and I never realised how much difference a diff would do aswell til I went round a track with one fitted. Ekona is right about the order to do it bit I went the opposite, I was running 400+ bhp with crappy brakes and OEM suspension. I've upgraded now but to be honest I thought the OEM suspension was good enough for fast street but the standard brakes wernt very good if trying to slow down fast from anything over 100
  9. I've been in an HR with the 3.9 final drive and it gives the car so much more acceleration that it was doing 1/4 mile times close to what my supercharged DE does. Also the final drive isn't in the gearbox, it's in the diff housing. The final drive is definitely going to be my next mod
  10. Get your alignment checked, it shouldnt be breaking traction in the dry, certainly not with MPSS on. Youre entitled to your opinion but the MPSS and RE050A perform considerably better than cheaper alternatives, thats why people pay more money for them .......... 4 months is nothing as well I had my alignment done and it wasn't much out at all. Remember im running 400 odd hp through them. I also am partial to a bit of drifting
  11. ive got the same creaking sound but have just put whiteline adjustable links on about 3 months ago. pita!
  12. I'd imagine it will be a complete engine with fluids as I don't think he's planning on fitting an engine and not using it
  13. what an awespme car. ive always loved tegs. i kept getting passed by one at knockhill the other night, they are great track cars
  14. That doesn't look too bad at all stevo. I've seen alot worse
  15. I run the mpss tyres and it drifts no problem. Mine even breaks out in straight line acceleration in the dry. Imo they are not as awesome as everyone makes out and you can get just as much performance from cheaper tyres. And mine have only lasted 4 months but that's probably my own fault for having a heavy foot
  16. I think it's horrible. It's like your trying to pretend it's a GTR. It seems to be pretty popular in the states though
  17. Yeah I certainly don't think that the rain helped the belt slip any. I went out tonight with the filter dry and was still doing it but not once I tightened it. It still squeals slightly on tick over but im scared to tighten it anymore as the tensioner seems quite stiff so don't want to break it or ruin the threads. Do you need to keep putting the hydro sock on and off? I thought it was a fit and forget type thing and only change when you are cleaning the filter etc
  18. Haha I'd rather give it away to someone than sell it to you! On another note I've fixed the problem! Turned out the main serpentine belt was slack and slipping on the charger so it wasn't producing any boost and running extremely rich. Tightened it up and gave it a fresh batch of oil for good measure. Thank god it wasn't something more serious! Thanks for all your help though guys 😊
  19. Maybe a bonus you are down on power before you go onto a track. You might see Friday now Haha your not helping kris. It's bad enough that its my first ever time on track, pushing out around 450hp and no esp or tcs. I'm just praying to the sun god to be dry!
  20. Thank's mate. I see what your saying and now that I think about it, usually if there's a boost leak it idles pretty rough and all seems fine. The filter is the standard vortech bolted directly onto the supercharge. IM planning on making a custom intake behind the bumper and will probably try one of they hydro socks on it. Il take the car out for a blast tonight in the dry to see if it's still doing it as it hasn't moved since Saturday so should be dried out.
