  1. Hello, congrats on your new puirchase and to the forum. Car looks great, even in the rain (nice colour too) My bike has sat unused in the garage since I bought my Zed. (Might also have something to do with the cack weather we've had). Enjoy!
  2. Good luck with your search, you will find the right car, it's out there somewhere. Don't let the mileage be a deciding factor. The 3.5l engines are pretty bullet proof, so if you find the car you like, but with >60k, it maybe worth a serious look. As long as it's got FSH and ticks every other box, (aswell as price), I'd really consider it. I recently bought my UK 2004 GT spec for sub £6k (privately) with 81k miles and it feels as strong (to me) as a car with half the mileage. I'd also seen cars with lower mileage, in a 'lesser' condition. Keep us posted with your findings
  3. Loulouj - Keep an eye on the Zeds for sale section here on the forum, there are a few cars on there at the moment within your budget. Dannyp - (Apologies for the slight hijack), do you have any pics of your car? I'm interested to see what a carbon wrapped roof looks like on a GM Zed.
  4. That's assuming you'll sleep Tuesday night!

    Belts on 2005

Exactly as CS says, for the sake of £30, I'd change them. I (well, me and my mechanically minded mate) changed mine at the weekend. Really easy DIY job, you just need a socket set and this guide... http://www.350z-tech.com/wiki/index.php ... eplacement
  6. I think the advice of listing it for just over £10k and expect to drop to about £9.5k is about right. It depends how much you 'want' to sell your car. I'd also put it on eBay as a classified listing. Costs £19.95 for 28 days with free photos. That's how I recently sold my Audi TT (to buy my Zed). You can also list it with a 'best offer' option, but also set a value where stupid offers (say below £9400) are automatically rejected. If you list and price it sensibly, it will generate interest and sell. There were/are lots of similarly specced TT's as mine all listed between £3200 and £3400, so I listed mine for £3000 and it sold within a week (I was being offered £1500 part ex). I also removed all the 'non-standard' parts I'd bought for it (such as wheels etc) and have also sold these seperately to make some extra cash. I'd certainly do the same with your wheels. These are just my thoughts (that worked for me). Good luck with the sale

    GT / Non Gt!?

Gutted for you that the one you thought was 'the one' wasn't, erm, the one. Your car is out there, be patient and you'll soon be grinning behind the wheel of your very own Zed
  8. I just drooled on my keyboard. Very nice
  9. Either that, or someone in your 'hood has seen how good the wipers are at scraping flat surfaces and are using them to make really long lines of coke! (Not the sugary drink variety) instead of the 'conventional' credit card method At least they put them back when they're finished! *NB. All drug use references are based on what I've seen in movies and not personal experience
  10. ...... I can recommend these. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360299341491? ... 1497.l2649 I recently replaced mine (I needed 1x front and the rear one) and for the sake of a tenner for a set of all 3, I thought I'd give 'em a go. I really can't fault them. In the heavy rain we've had recently, they've performed really well at all speeds (up to 70 mph naturally officer). Just thought I'd pass this on
  11. (Looks out the window at the wet, grey, miserable UK weather)... I hate you
  12. I'm not a huge fan of white wheels, but do think a suit a red car really well. If the price and condition of the Rays are right - go for it. You an always sell your original wheels to regain some cash and if you still don't like the white, get em re-furbed and/or resprayed. Do it! You know you want to
  13. Just a thought, as you were unaware it was (allegedly) an import and the insurance company have now mentioned it is.... And knowing the insurance companies will do absolutely anything to get out of coughing up. What does your VIN begin with? UK VIN starts JN JDM begin with z33
  14. Jeez mate, that's an awful story, that just gets worse, but I hope all gets sorted in your favour. Good move on maintaining a record of who you spoke to and when. Really hope everything works out as you hope. Keep us posted and as others have said, at least you're ok and no one got hurt.
  15. Amen to that feeling I've had mine a month now (so still in the honeymoon phase I guess). I still look over my shoulder for one last glance as I park her up for the day aswell
  16. Hi Pete and You should be able to get your desired car with your list of requirements. I recently bought mine for £5.5k (sometime eBay is a wonderful thing) OK, it's got 81k miles, but FSH and I'm chuffed to bits with it. Hang on in there, your car's out there somewhere...
  17. Thanks all for your responses It's interesting to know how and when our fellow Zed owners use their cars.
  18. Hi All, I'm just wondering, how many of you guys (and gals) use your Zed as a daily drive (commute to work etc), as a second car (you've got another car as a work-horse/run about)), or as a toy (something that is kept polished and is bought 'presents' made of carbon, stainless steel etc and only comes out on sunny weekends and for meets). Me? Mines my daily drive. I still buy it presents though
