+1000 I'd really advise on getting something else, other than a Highly Dangerous (sorry, not a fan) for your first bike. Run around on something else for your first year on 2 wheels, get a year's NCB and some experience before jumping in and buying a new Harley. No worries. It's widely known that GM is the fastest and best colour. I know the V5 states silver, but if your paint code is WV2, it's definitely a GM.

Hi Danny and welcome to the forum. There are a few Travelodges in the Bristol/M5 area that have relatively cheap rooms. I was gonna drive down early morning but for the sake of less than £30 I'm staying 30 mins away from Castle Combe at Cribbs Causeway just off the M5. Difficult to get digs near the event now, but why have a long drive down from the NW when you can stay nearer for not a lot of dollar? Ian

Cheers Wasn't too hard, you just need to be patient with the wrap and plan where you're gonna start and finish, especially with the centre console. If you're gonna do the handles and dash, I'd do the passenger one first, then driver's, then finally tackle the dash last as you'll have a better feel for what you can/can't do with the wrap.

I'm going to ask is probably a dumb question now, but many of you guys have said "A is better than B". Please define 'better' I understand that differences are more noticeable on track, with brakes heating up and fading etc, but what are the differences noticed on everyday roads with a set of 'better' pads/discs? I've never ever thought that "these brakes are a bit naff" nor have i felt the need for better ones. I currently have EBC yellow stuff pads and OEM discs. Do 'better' pads give you more feel, provide more braking power? What is 'better'?

The right tools definitely make it a lot easier. Something to strip the wires with (rather than a Stanley knife) should be near the top of the list. Especially if you like your thumbs....

I'm not an electrician or mechanic and managed it without any issues. As long as you can snip, strip and connect wires together you should be fine. Have a practice with some scrap wires, or just buy a length from a DIY shop until you're comfortable with the procedure. Plenty of guides for removing the centre console and then HU. Whereabouts are you located? There might be a forum member close by willing to lend a hand

I've got an Alpine BT HU (although different from yours). Making the changes detailed in the link Jon posted above certainly made a difference to volume and speaker peformance.
