Sounds a great opportunity Nathan. Are you loking for a stock/standard car or one that's been modified?

I've known a number of people that have been quoted £40 to remove the head unit so the HU serial number can be read. Once you've got the SN then the cost of getting the code is free. Would be worth confirming what the £40 is actually for as removing the centre console to gain access to the HU and SN is easy.

Sorry Veegee, I think he/you may have been misinformed. As long as the Micra key contains the transponder/immobiliser chip, the reprogram procedure works and the key functions fully. I know the person I was originally enquiring for did this successfully and I'm sure it's been done since. The guide linked to in the thread (and now conveniently placed above) reprograms the key including chip.

You can buy a used Micra key for about £10, get a new blade cut and reprogram it yourself (as long as yours is a UK car). Currently looking for a link that I know will help..... EDIT: Found it: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/105042-wtd-350z-key/page__hl__micra

Cheers guys. I'm discovering more as I look into this. You can actually buy perforated underlay designed for use with AG when laying onto decking. Who knew such a thing even existed I feel a project brewing....

Cheers chaps. Would I be able to lay it directly onto treated decking, or does it need a plywood base? The area I'm looking to do is 7m X 4m which (after a quick search) would be circa £250 ish to fully cover in artificial grass. Given the amount of time and £££ it takes each year/18 months to re-do the decking, I didn't think that was too bad.

OK, this is about as off topic as it gets I know. But has anyone used/is using/has fitted artificial grass in their garden? Got a large area of decking that is a bit of a PITA treating every year and was considering laying some astro turf on top of it. Just wondered if anyone had any experience with the stuff.
