  1. Hi all, just a quick question really. Im trying to see my A3. They z is my 6th car but ive never actually sold one properly before (for lots of reasons). Do you have any suggestions where is good to put it up for sale that doesnt cost the earth or even better free? Thanks.
  2. as luck would have i have a plenum spacer already just didnt want to install it to much before the remap due to what ive read about running lean.
  3. Yesterday i decided to change my spark plugs, and when i removed the plug for cylinder 6 i found it was leaking oil into the plug recess. Does any one know if the large "o" seals for the recess come with the rocker cover gasket? I have a 04' DE
  4. Could be a bargain for someone. No idea of fit though http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-350Z-Z ... 337c5a72d5
  5. i work in a audi dealer so know these cars well. No really common issues, some early 2.0tdi had problems with pours cylinder heads and up to about 57 plate some had problems with the oil pump drive failing. Both very expensive repairs but cant think of any problems at all with ones around 09 plate. A dpf wont last much more than 100k unless you are very lucky but the A6 doesnt have too many issues with them. Im not a fan of the front wheel drive autos either (multitronics) the quattro auto is much better or the manual gearbox. Only thing worth checking is listen for a knocking noise on start up or when turning it off as this is likely to a faulty flywheel or intake flat. (the multitronic has a flywheel too which goes) Feel free to pm me any questions
  6. belts are due every 40k or 5years. Not quite engine out but it is a 8 hour job. Id have one if i could afford to run it.
  7. That RS6 does seam cheap, but if its all square what a car for the money
  8. Thats what i did, and couldn't be happier
  9. Im afraid you going to have to change the pads too. The pads would have worn unevenly if the discs are out of shape. All you'll achieve by reusing the pads is to warp your new discs.
  10. You got my number You going to uprated the clutch too?

  12. the brake light switch just has a permanent live as on the 350z. Some car do some dont, couldnt tell you why.
  13. looks good would have popped over if i had know
  14. As long as the engine produce less nox, hydrocarbons and particulates than MOT standards you will be fine. I should some cars should fly through but any made after euro 5 emissions standard may struggle. Dpf's are what they call a serviceable item and are only expected last around 100k, much like early cats.
  15. Spotted a 54 plate parked up and a 05 i think as i was driving out. Was hard to read your plate mind as it was tinny
  16. There are normally very reliable the A8 but when they do go wrong they are expensive. I'd doubt youll get the airbag from anywhere but a dealer though. Not the sort of thing euros are going to stock. Sounds like they have priced the shock and the airbag to me there, which do come individually.
  17. yeah i kept the original dual mass. Didnt want the noise from the single and there was nothing wrong with it so why replace it. I was pleasantly surprised how straight forward it was to do as well. Having never had a 350z box out before was all done just under 4 hours. Yeah, even changed the servo, the biting point totally changed, but weighting felt pretty much the same The only other thing I did was made sure everything in the bell housing was spotless and regreased the input shaft splines, release bearing sleeve and the contact point on the armature.
  18. I just used the standard exedy clutch kit. Have you tried changing your clutch fluid? I done mine about a month ago and that did help quite a bit
  19. Changed my clutch this morning and its now like driving a new car Only driven 3 Zs and they have all had fairly heavy clutchs so i just assumed thats how they were. Changed mine as it was squeaking. Now it light as a feather. Nearly pushed the pedal through the floor when i got in to start it Really glad I did it, and to think ive been sitting on the new clutch for over 4 months.
  20. it is pretty easy, but like alex says get the seals first. Ive done mine but still not reading when i get below 1/8 of a tank
  21. you'll only get about 20bhp out of a map on a rs5. The engine is pretty rinsed for power already. The v8 is a audi made engine. It is basicly the same engine in the old rs4 with a larger intake and a couple of small change. I think even with the limiter completely removed you would really struggle to get near 180mph. As said before lazy reporting. I want the A8 with that engine in. The transporter had that V10 in his last film. I would swap tomorrow as my back can't take much more of the Zed:( Oh and the new a8 is available with a 500bph 6.3l w12 engine. Its immense!
  22. Cant figure out weather it had the engined changed or not???? standard rs5 wont do 180mph and is only £50k new, so maybe it was changed. Seams a strange thing to do mind. Looks like it spitting flames out the back though on that camera
  23. for me repair every time, as long as the puncture is in the middle 3/4 of the tyre.
