im in the trade so mot wont be a problem. I think my current system is a fjititurbo or something like that. Could find any name on it and it was on there when i bought it. It is a cat back system however. I am thinking about changing it though as makes a good noise but not to keen on the tail pipes. Have looked at hfcs but i think for the extra cast i would save (only to be sent else where on the car) i could live with the louder exhaust as im only 5 miles from work. I am mainly wondering about the silenced decat as ive not heard of them before.

Hi all. I thinking of fitting some decats in the near future, but was just wondering if any one had any experience with japspeed decats vs the japspeed silenced decats? Commute with car so dont really want anything too loud when not a full chat.

There are 4 in mk that i know of. The azur in bletchley, 2 grey in great holm. One with a nizmo rear spoiler and the other with some nice mutispoke black wheels and my orange in grange farm. Dont know if any of them are on here mind. Im still fairly new to this myself, picked mine up in january

How do you know they sensor is ok? The only way to test it would be by using a dso while the engine was running and by doing that you could see if the flywheel was out of shape as the pattern would be out on the dso. Before changing the ecu or the flywheel id would be checking the wiring and the terminals for corrosion.

I work for Audi and they used to use that 1.6 in the A3. Couldn't pull your grandma out of her seat. Would definitely look at a different engine.

sounds like it could be the discs rubbing on the back plate as you say, mine do the same. How long have the front discs been on the car? the problem with mine are that the disc is quite heavily corroded on the inner edge (bought it like this and fitting dbas all round ). the only way you'll prob see the corrosion is to get under the car, dont think you'll see it on full lock.

When is the cut off date? Sounds good but i need to replace my discs first

Any idea what the rest of the exhaust system is? As the back box looks the same as the one that came on mine.
