I know what you're talking about, so don't worry, someone appreciates this! I'd go for a sticker saying, "I've got a tree fiddy" with an outline of the car and maybe something South Park related rather than the monster! I will literally travel anywhere in a 50 mile radius for someone to do this for me...and I will pay them! I am absolutely hopeless at stuff like this so wouldn't want to put my car at risk. I just say 350z. Most blokes know what you mean, in which case we have a chat about it and other cars. If the person doesn't know what I mean, I just say "It's a Nissan". I didn't buy this car to impress anyone, so don't care enough to try and explain the car to ppl and to justify driving a Nissan. If it needs justification, they aren't into cars and therefore, I'd rather talk about something other than cars!

I have spent all morning shopping around and the best quote I've managed to get is £852 with Sky, with a £250 excess. That's for a 27 year old bloke with 2 motoring convictions in 08 & 09 and also I've only owned the car 2 months. The next best quote was over £1k. Not exactly happy to be spending that much on insurance, but I still think it was a good quote considering my circumstances.

Considering that you're suggesting this car might not be all that it's cracked up to be, have you suggested they change the name of the company to Bull*hit cars?

Sunday afternoon in North London...saw a Sunset Zed and thought I'd flash and got a knowing wave.

I'd say who cares how old any of us are!? If you like the car...enjoy it. There's no age limit.

Convertible Mustang? Most of the hire companies have these as options, Plan to do something similar one day, fly into LA, pick up the 'Stang down to Vegas, death valley, then head down towards Yosemite then onto SF then back up the PCH. Convertible Mustang is the best option I've seen so far. I'm planning on flying into Orlando...and then going to Miami to start our journey to San Francisco. Coast to Coast...can't wait!

That looks like fun! I've got a road trip across America planned in November. 18 days....4000 miles...if only I could do it in a Zed instead of some cr*ppy American thing.

If you can get the newer model with lower mileage, then I'd pay the extra in tax and hope to claw back some of that in lower repairs costs and a better sell on cost. All depends on personal circumstances, but it does hurt paying in the £400's for road tax!
