  1. You going for a square set up? What are t he advantages and will it mess up tc?
  2. Looking good, be interested to see what you've done previously
  3. Strictly true about the vents, but it won't necessarily decrease under-bonnet temperatures. Air like water always flows downhill. Downhill in terms of air is from a high pressure area to a low pressure area. The area above the bonnet vent is low pressure and this pulls air out of the engine bay. This is not necessarily good. Air is pulled out of the engine bay, no cold air is pulled in through the same gap, and pulling the air out of the engine bay in this area interrupts the air flow as Nissan designed it in through the front/underside of the car. Vents (unless designed specially and very precisely), as with raisers, will stifle the airflow efficiency and actually increase under-bonnet temps. Agreed, also may pull hot air from the bottom of the engine/headers over the intake and raise intake temp, robbing bhp....
  4. Physics is allot like me. lazy
  5. Bonnet vents are more effective as they actually draw the air out of the bonnet as it passes over the top. With risers youve got an opening right where the air hits the windscreen which will cause it to split and push in both directions, normally this just goes up the windscreen but with an opening there the air will flow into the engine bay. Path of least resistance
  6. I may be wrong but when driving the turbulence there will cause a high pressure region and possible actually cause air to flow into the engine bay.....
  7. Hey, Of course thats understandable. Its been a long time since i read what happened at Chernobyl. Again my memory recalls an experiment being done.. Somewhere along the lines of what would happen if they had a power cut? if they were being bombed attacked etc. Again i recall they switched the turbine off (the electric generator) i could be wrong. But im sure they lowered the output?. and to keep it short, they had the control rods too high. So i believe the fuel rods were already getting too hot. Again i believe it was when one of the control operators hit the button to lower the control rods. Something in the design when the graphite tipped rods entered the mix it caused a spike. and moments/seconds later the lid blew off? I could be wrong but i guess just a terrible chain of events and poor thinking in the control room i guess I know you said you cant speak about it, so il leave it there then Rob
  8. +1 on abbey, excellent service every time.
  9. Should be another good year, be nice to see a few more z's there this time.
  10. A true dual may lose you some midrange torque but may give you a few more bhp at the top end. My votes for the milltek
  11. +1 on the berks if you win....
  12. If the mssis wins I have a couple of used cats in the garage.
  13. She had a friend sleep over last night as well so she's got some z company......
  14. I'd be interested in the respose to this too, coilovers are likely to be my nex big mod and I've been struggling to get some real world ride quality reviews. Could you add KW and bilstien to the list?
  15. + 1 on the Poorboys Wheel Sealant
  16. I have a used y pipe taken off a 2009 HR, only had about 30k. I'm in kent.....
  17. On the plus side you would still have needed all the supporting mods so the only real loss is the cost of the supercharger itself.......
  18. Fair enough, I assumed they were just there to control the pressure in the breather system.
  19. There tiny, be supprised if they made any difference at all?
  20. Just a quick thanks to sly a Kaiser motors. Fitted my eibach arb's, whiteline drop links and did a full alignment this morning, z felt great driving home. Excellent service and great price.
