  1. I think to be fair that I've done most of my miles on the motorway rececntly, and apart from some slip road fun, one car is pretty much the same as any other at 70 (ish...). Getting it on some back roads with the windows open and the scorpion exhaust snarling is just fantastic
  2. I've been mulling over changing the zed for something else for a bit now - awesome car but haven't been feeling that connection. With the sun out and my birthday today I finally thought about going back to a boxster or z4 cabrio for the summer - However after a couple hundred miles of garage visiting on some fantastic roads and seeing it parked up in the sun I've suddenly become unable to part with it!! In fact I've become so attached I've splashed out some ridiculous cash on a set of 19's! may even clean it again tonight....
  3. Damn, I keep looking at these! Whereabouts are you in Devon?
  4. I used the gum stuff from Halfrauds (unfortunately!) just went over the joints to give a smooth coverage and left it to dry for a few hours. The wrap stuff was a bugger - probably much easier to do with the exhaust off the car! didn't realise it contained fibreglass either so was covered in itchy shards after being under the car - still, no pain no gain!
  5. Fixed it! Wrapped the y-pipe in thermal exahust wrap and gum sealed all the joints again - volume seems the same, but resonance is minimal now, happy again
  6. I'll take it posted sir! - unless you're going to castle coombe this weekend?
  7. Anyone upgraded and have a good condition standard pipe laying unused in their shed/garage? Scott
  8. I joined this one 'cos i'm lazy and it was the first search result in Google Don't regret it though, top notch forum with the right balance of helpful advice and cutting sarcasm
  9. reckon there may be a dodgy joint that's expanding an leaking when hot - going to get it checked at the weekend, fingers crossed!
  10. Wouldn't be caused by a leak haven't discovered by any chance?
  11. Noticed the scorpion system doesn't include a box in the mid pipe like some other systems, wonder if its worth getting a small resonator box welded in?
  12. I didn't notice it so much before the Y-pipe - however the original was leaking so it sounded a lot louder in volume, so hard to tell
  13. For some reason, since fitting the Y-pipe (may be a coincidence...) the exhaust seems to have bedded in with a really annoying bassy drone at 2-2500 rpm when hot - makes long journeys uncomfortable and I end up either flooring it to bypass the drone spot or trying to coast under it Does anyone else notice this on their same exhaust combo? (scorpion Y-back, Berks HFC's and Cobra Y-pipe) really annoying as it sounds fantastic elsewhere in the rev range Any suggestions to remedy? - been underneath and no leaks that I can see..
  14. T-shirt order completed by Annie (Two bears) - fantastic job, and appreciate the time Annie spent sorting out my fickleness on the order. Well impresed and would definitely use the Two Bears services again!
  15. I've noticed in the last week or so my Scorpion exhaust has started knocking slightly on something under the car when warm - I assume the standard mounts are a bit tired and softening when hot - is there an option for uprate mounts such as powerflex to combat this?
  16. Ah - good point, I'll double check. Would be gutting to get it covered well and then it fades!
  17. My mate told me its because white men can't (w)rap - but I think he was just being culturally offensive!
  18. right - never one to be demoralised or give up i've got something new to try for the weekend! Got some alcantara type adhesive film and going to try and cover some of the larger exspanses of the dash for a luxury GT feel Pictures of me sobbing amongst sticky back plastic on monday!
  19. damn, still only a hopeful! - story of my life
  20. Wonder if anyone can help? - looking to get some T-shirts printed up for a stag do (12), but can't find a place to do it at a reasonable price - £10+ per shirt for a photo on a plain white t seems excessive - can anyone recommend or help out please?

    eBay induction

I bought one and I think it was designed by Stevie Wonder - didn't match up to mounting bolts or mate on to air meter snuggly. Ended up cutting it down and using it as a middle pipe to mount my pop charger
  22. I'm down in Taunton - just deciding wether or not to order some more and have another shot!
  23. Well, intake my hat off to those that have managed to wrap the console! Spent a few hours last night on the bottom section - and I have to say it looks like something a school kid knocked up for an end of term project I think it's something to do with my big hands or lack of co-ordination, but may have to bite the bullet and fork out for the stick on covers...
