  4. How many miles has the popcharger done chap?
  5. I did the b pillars and interior passenger grab handle. I tried to do the wing mirrors but that went hideously wrong, the vinyl just wasn't very sticky Going to attempt the roof next, I like flat surfaces.
  6. One thing to think about if this is fun car, is how you like your power delivery. Having gone from a 400+bhp rear wheel drive car, to a Focus ST and now the 350z, I find the Z has a really smooth power delivery which can be a little deceptive, it doesnt feel as fast as it is, it's quite linear in its power delivery. If you want something that will thump you in the back and "feel" fast, you'd be better off with something rear wheel drive that has a turbo, plus you have the benefit that these tend very very easy to tune for the most part with minimal outlay. At home we now have the Z and a Seat Leon Cupra R, I can honestly say the both of these cars are very good, neither has a massive advantage in terms of outright speed, but they are massively different in the way they drive, the Cupra and the ST are great front wheel drive scrabble wagons, but you feel like your driving an excitable puppy that's always straining on its leash yapping all the time, the Z is far more composed, it'll do everything the ST and Cupra can (and some) but with much less dramma, although like any big dog if you poke it with a stick, it'll still bite you Personally I think the Z looks better than any hot hatch ever could, it sounds better, and it's a much nicer place to be than most of the cars I've ever owned or driven, it may not be the fastest car ever built, but it makes me smile every single time I turn the key. I get to choose which keys to pick up every morning, and eight times out of ten I pick up the Z keys (the other times I'm half asleep and pick up the wrong ones...).
  7. Awesome guide, inspired me to wrap some bits today, going to try the roof next
  8. The guy with the amuse style wing isn't far from me, but is this missing mounts?? The concave bottom to the support legs look too deep / curved to mount to the bootlid??
  9. Cheers buster that's spot on
  10. Ooh I like those! Can I ask where u got them from???
  11. As a fairly new owner these are so much fun to drive! Turn off traction controll, drive it like a go-cart and grin like a fool
  12. Hi all. I have a Polished Ali gearknob for sale, bought this from KTA and used for about a week while my stock knob was being freshened up. It's a really nice gearknob, quite a weight too! The 350z logo on the side has a little shadowing from the lazer etching (look at the first pic) but really awesome bit of kit! £40.00 inc postage please (UK mainland). One fitted Please contact me for payment details, collection welcome too. Thanks for looking! Shout if you have any questions. Matt
  13. Hi Well it has dropped a bit, I had 35mpg doing all motorway miles but since doing everyday driving to and from work, pootling around, its sitting around 25mpg not budging one way of the other much, so pretty happy with that to be honest
  14. Oh go on then, excuse the state of the Z....
  15. Just got this through the post Many thanks!
  16. Hi guys, The car is just stock performance wise at the moment, I used the Engine / ECU reset (using the key and the accelerator pedal etc, and pulled the power at the battery (as I've put a new one in ready for winter). Hoovering the car out today I did find a petrol receipt (along with other things) under the drivers seat, looks like the last owner had filled it up on standard rather than super unleaded (although i've put a tank of shell optimax through it since), so I'm guessing that will have been why it didn't feel as pokey? I'll see how it goes looking forward to putting some miles on her this weekend.
  17. Hi all This could just be an oddity but, since I bought it, the car has always pulled like a train lower down the rev range, mid range was good but the top end felt really flat and a little gutless, my mpg was around 18-20 (not that it bothers me, my last car did anywhere from 9-20). I changed the air filter, oil and sparkies but that made little difference, so I wondered if the ECU was pulling the timing for some reason? Well after a quick ECU reset, I've put a few miles on it and really happy to say that its made a big difference higher on up the rev range, she seems to pull nice and strong all the way to the redline BUT the big supprise is my mpg has gone up massively!! I'm now getting an average of 25-27mpg, instead of the 18-20! Does anyone know why this would be, or is it just a coincidence the mpg has gone up so much? I have to say the first few weeks of ownership have been awesome, puts a smile on my face every time I turn the key Regards Matt
