  1. How on earth does he have 99.9% positive feedback selling cr@p like this?
  2. No experience of that head unit but there's a general guide to upgrading here: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=16403

  4. I used a black crayon with surprisingly good results - not perfect but a million times better than it was and doesn't come off on your hands as you might think! My scratches were caused by opening the door with the keys still in my right hand - I always try to remember to transfer the keys to my left hand when taking them out of the ignition before opening the door
  5. Found the heat shield you were talking about and removed it today but still no joy! I still think it's something either under the car or in the exhaust given that it only happens when hot. I did find a clip under the spare tyre yesterday which I could occasionally hear rolling around so that's one less noise I suppose! I think I might just admit defeat with this one It's not that noticeable when the stereo is on so might just wait until the car is in the garage for some work and ask them to have a look at it then Thanks for the suggestions anyway I just need to put all the bits I took off back on again now...
  6. Had the stereo off this week and noticed an annoying metallic rattle sound coming from the rear of the car. It only seems to happen when warmed up and accelerating hard at about 3000 RPM so suspect the exhaust is touching something when hot. I've recently fitted a Tanabe exhaust and stillen y pipe but didn't notice the rattle when these were fitted but I normally have the stereo on quite high so may just not have noticed it until now Anyway, I crawled under the car today to check the exhaust clearance and couldn't see any obvious points of contact. Decided to remove the flimsy heat shield above the backbox and the plastic diff shield but the rattle was still there I thought it might also be an interior rattle in the back somewhere, even though it only happens when warm (I was getting desparate!) so I removed the spare wheel, tools, boot mat, cargo net etc. but still no joy Any suggestions of where else to look? or do I just live with it and turn the volume up! Thanks

  9. Initial D - just watched it again last night Big jap car drift movie in Asia but not so well-known on these shores Won't win any oscars for the acting or script but it's quite funny and features lots of old skool jap cars that I lusted over as a kid! - and still do now! AE86 corolla
  10. Think it only works on newer cars - I tried it on my 54 reg but didn't seem to work
  11. 1) Sound of my tanabe touring medallion exhaust Price I got it for make me smile even more! (cheers Tarmac!) 2) Having to frickin' click the remote twice every time to open the passenger door! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
  12. If they would stick IN more then will most likely catch the brembos, not to mention look pretty naff! - the Rays stick IN enough as it is Think I'll give them a miss and keep an eye out for some JDM 17s or get a shed for the winter - thanks
  13. After a bit of advice on possible winter wheels I've been offered a set of Accord Type R wheels which I was thinking I could maybe wrap in winter rubber for when the snow starts. Stud pattern is the same as the zed and size is 7J x 17 with offset of +55mm. OE tyre width is 215 but I was thinking of running a slightly wider tyre (225) for the rears Any thoughts if they are likely to clear the brembos or if this is a bad idea given the higher offset and alloys being all the same width front and back etc.? I get confused when it comes to wheel offsets would the higher offset mean the wheel would stick out more than the Rays? Obviously wouldn't be planning on doing any spirited driving with these on but don't want to bugger my wheel bearings or anything like that! Thanks
  14. I've reduced my brand new pop charger to £120 delivered if you're considering buying new
  15. A few of my favourite places: Absolute Thai in tollcross - try the beef panang! Piatto verde - cosy Italian in fountainbridge with great food. Kushiis diner on west nicolson st - tandoori lamb chops are amazing!
  16. Was going to fit this along with the stock exhaust for the extra noise but recently got a Tanabe Touring Medallion and Stillen Y Pipe and really like the sound of the car as it is now so the Pop Charger is surplus to requirements. Brand new, never been fitted - still in shrink wrap. Includes heat shield, fittings and installation instructions. Save yourself the wait and hassle of importing one from the US. Looking for £110 delivered to your door or £100 collected near Edinburgh PM me if interested

  19. +1 for Stenhouse Motors Got my Tanabe exhaust and stillen y pipe from Tarmac fitted there a couple of weeks ago after recommendation from Cholula. They charged about £50 - top blokes and friendly service - I'll defo be using them again in the future
