  1. I was at TGM on Wednesday 4th and saw the owner of the mystery 370z I think, it was having suspension work of some sort, I seem to remember a spring might have snapped but I may be wrong. I was in custard (the new car).
  2. Yes the new car will be very different and slightly boring and getting it remapped is definitely something to look at when I get bored of it. I hated the colour and the interior when I saw the advert but in the flesh it wasn't as bad. I wouldn't say it's great but definitely less bad. If it was black I would actually quite like it. I'm looking forward to: cloth seats so I don't have to take care of them yellow paint: a colour I'm not too keen on so any scrapes will not matter to me and I don't have to wash it mp3 stereo back seats putting normal petrol in it and not having to navigate via Tesco and Shell petrol stations The biggest loss will be the performance, sound and look when compared to the current car.
  3. It isn't a TDI....I need small steps and a diesel would be a very big step! I was more interested in getting a car I can use for work (I'm getting hire cars a lot at the moment) and also one I can leave in a car park without worrying if someone will dent it (hence I'm not too bothered that it's yellow)
  4. Symphony is going. Either Tuesday if they can sort out the MOT on the new car in time, or next Saturday. I didn't want to offer my car for sale on here as I needed it gone before I had time to think about it. So I traded it in for 1k less than I could have sold it for But it was a very quick sale and the new car isn't too horrible, despite the colour: The reason for changing is because I'm beginning to start to think about settling down. The more I think about that............the more I don't want to think about it
  5. I completely forgot about the credit card holder thing The normal thing I get asked is "please stop waving" if I see another 350z.
  6. Thanks, I will check that and make sure it is all properly greased. I'm going to be even more paranoid now when I check the oil
  7. Is the bonnet catch known to be problematic? A few months ago I noticed my bonnet was not shut properly after I had arrived at my destination (I had checked the oil level that day). This morning I again checked my oil level and the bonnet was definitely closed properly when I'd finished. I know this as I'm a bit paranoid about it due to the incident above. Anyway, I was overtaking a few cars and saw the bonnet pop up just as I got level to the last car, leaving me with the nice decision of braking hard or carrying on. It was clear enough that I could slow down and still safely overtake Mr 40mph and then turned off to park. The guy I parked next to gave me a look as if to say "you're a dangerous moron, shut the bloody bonnet" Question is, is there anything I can do or should I just get a new one and not drive the car?
  8. Buy your own 'smart' meter (or apply for one, some electricity suppliers supply them) and see what is using the electricity. You will need to do a bit of investigating to find a baseline for both houses and to break the total down into each user (fridges, washing machine, TVs etc.).
  9. I was there first! The grumpy guy I see several times a month in Fleet now waves at me though when I frantically flash and wave
  10. You were parked on the road parallel to Symphony, not sure if you noticed: Had Z badges instead of Nissan. Anyone?
  11. I couldn't remove it and so had to go looking for a suitable tool. Luckily we appear to have just the thing in the kitchen drawer
  12. It may be worth contacting some trashy newspapers as it's something that should not happen and points to an error in their number generating software (it may be just chance but papers like to make a story out of things). I'd imagine someone would run with it and would even calculate the odds for you.
  13. They don't. You have way more chance of understanding how much bigger the things are getting with each slide than what mankind collectively knows about how big the Universe is. You have zero chance of comprehending how much bigger those things are getting because you live inside a human brain that deals with things it can see. So that leaves mankind kind of screwed about the rest of it.
  14. It's further proof that we need a real change. People with no respect for the law who know there are no consequences to their actions is exactly why we had the riots. I'm glad to see the rioters are being charged and maybe they will think twice about doing it again. I'm also fairly certain the student will think twice too. He didn't have a ticket, was abusive and was happy to hold up a whole train full of people. He got everything he deserved, I only wish he would also be fined a lot too. Vik, I've seen police do far far worse to people they are restraining and all because that person has been very abusive or violent. Training will get you so far but people have emotions and a sense of justice. I'm glad some decide to act on it rather than doing nothing but complaining after the event that their train got held up by a mouthy student who didn't have a ticket.
  15. Oh cool, thanks for the heads up. I'm going to cellotape my small toy 350z to the roof of the remote control 350z and have a 350z-squared toy.
  16. Sorry to hear of your loss. I did have to wipe away a tear.
  17. Funny you should mention that. When I got my car my mate had a sniff around and pointed to the gap between the lights and the bumper and said it's had a knock. I don't think it has but there is a slight gap.
  18. Car speedos over-read and there is a tolerance on what the cameras are set to and so if it is a 50 limit I do an indicated 60 as I know I'm fine at this speed. The muppets who religiously stick to an indicated 48mph to be safe but refuse to move over really get on my tits. The permanent average cameras on the M25 where it meets the M4 are dangerous as they are usually always set at 40mph no matter what the traffic. I've been past at nearly twice that speed several times when it was very free flowing because I felt it was safer to stay with the flow of the traffic rather than brake down to that speed in the outside lane. I've not had any tickets thankfully but I was fully expecting to get one.
  19. Hi. Anyone here? It looks to have fancy wheels but can't really see. See if you can spot Symphony (GM grey 56 reg) when you pull out the carpark, she's parked very close by.
  20. I invented a true 24-hour clock today. This photo was taken just as the clock went live, at precisely 37 minutes past 18: At 38 minutes past 18 I was asked to convert the clock back to a standard 12 hour version. But it still remains. One of the directors is in tomorrow and so if he sees the benefits then I may be able to roll out further 24 hour clocks to other parts of the building.
  21. Natural selection. It's shocking to me that something as simple as "look where you are going" has to be drilled into some people. But shopping in ASDA shows that most people don't have any awareness or consideration and live in a magic bubble. Edit: that reads like I think it's real video, I know it's not, but the fact you have to show graphically the consequences of not looking where you are going makes me despair. As some people are that stupid.
  22. How do I apply to be paid for not producing electricity? I'm quite good at it, could be a nice little earner.
  23. Has anyone else seen the Reading Ninja? It's on the church wall near O'Neils and the town hall. I thought it was a spray painting of a ninja (holding up swords) crouched on the church 'small roof thing' (I've no idea what you would call it). Bit disrespectful thought I. This pic is terrible, looks far more realistic in real life. It is also at an angle unfortunately (my phone had died and my work mate was not as keen to get a proper pic as I was). It looks to be sat directly on the slanting roof thing when stood infront of it. It took me a while to realise it was a (very cool) shadow and not graffiti: Had to share.
  24. Ooooooooooooooh. I want one that does that.
  25. G.I Ginge, you have Farnborough as your location. Is your car a grey JDM with a private plate? I see a car in the next street to me a lot that fits that description and has a private plate similar(ish) to your name? If so, Symphony is parked on your street for the night
