  1. Thanks Ebized, this forum has hidden depths I see It pains me to have buttons on the steering wheel that should provide me with a very useful service but do nothing at the moment. But..........why are the adapters removable?
  2. Does anyone have any in stock now? Please let me know, I NEED one. The capitals hopefully convey how much I want one.
  3. I know now I'm missing one (I assumed the slot thing in the arm rest was to put an actual phone in) and it will cost £90 or so to buy. Why are they removable anyway ? Is the adapter specific to Nissan or is there an alternate (cheaper) version available? I've had a large psychological dent in my finances already and so I'm probably going to wait until pay day before I buy one! The car is amazing though, why didn't you guys tell me how good they were before now
  4. Oh yes. I do have one major problem though: I can see the car from the kitchen window and so I'm very likely to burn the house down tonight when I cook.
  5. It's officially mine and I drove the glorious 60 miles back from the dealer in the sunshine really enjoying the car My old car and new car together: I decided to pay an additional £330 to stay with my current insurer (I'd paid in full) than go with someone like Esure who quoted over £420 less. This is because the cancellation policy is to only return 25% of the full amount and then take a lot more for admin costs leaving me with £100 from the original £1000 I paid for 5 months insurance. Now I've actually had time to sit down and work it out (I don't do mental arithmetic) I would have been better cancelling but meh it's done now. Goodbye Skoda But also
  6. Apparently so. I've just checked and I'm definitely male.
  7. Slight bizarre issue: when I put my reg into confused.com it says it's a Fairlady (so an import) and insurance is way over 1k. I'm certain it's a UK car as it has the red fog light and rectangular number plate. If I put the same reg into comparethemarket then it recognises it as a UK car and the quotes are far cheaper But I have a dilemma in that Sheila's Wheels is the cheapest and my mates have already started the "woman's car" jokes, this would add fuel to the fire. Esure it is then if my current insurer (Adrian Flux) refuse cover. There is no option to select the car colour thankfully as everyone knows the darker silver is faster and so would probably cost more to insure.
  8. I would do the same so I can see the funny side, but I literally nearly had a heart attack until I saw the bit at the bottom... It's not the 313, I'm fairly sure of that. I think it's the 300bhp one and £425 road tax. Is that right? Forgive my ignorance. GT yes. It took me a while to realise that the lever to move the seat is actually a little button instead (dealer left me alone to inspect and test drive the car). I did know to hold the clutch though to start it up I got insurance quotes for the car before I bought it but thinking about it I didn't see a quote from my current insurer. Another thread on here was not too kind about them because they apparently like to refuse cover for this car. Joy. Thanks for the welcomes!
  9. OK, liking the replies so far, no negative things! Yes full service history and just been serviced too (oil was definitely fresh). It's funny as I'd never noticed how many 350s were on the road until I started to REALLY want one. I'm coming from a Skoda Octavia VRS and the car is just such a nicer place to be, especially the sound. It's the higher tax bracket I believe. I used the visible orange bits on the front bumper to identify the newer model, I think I was successful but I thought the car was great so I'm happy whatever it is.
  10. Greetings fellow 350z owners! Well almost... I've just put a deposit down on a car and I would be very grateful for some advice. This site has been invaluable for information (so thanks for that) and I am happy with the price I paid for the car. However, I just want to double check that the car isn't a known horror story. The dealer does seem genuine and I have no reason to suspect otherwise but it's a lot of money and I want to put my mind at rest before paying the full amount. Link to original advert: I do intend to stick around so this is a hello, a thankyou, and a request for help!
