  1. In simple terms crude oil is refined to produce petrol, which is then passed to the terminals where all the companies load fuels for thier retailers. There is no difference. Only the additives make it different. In fact one additive that Shell used about 20 years ago destroyed Vauxhall engines and cost them dear in lawsuits. Google it. 2. Texaco are not an upstream supplier, they are downstream only. The parent company is Valero in San Antonio, Texas. Valero sold all the rigs and finding/drilling equipment some time ago and now just concentrate on being a supplier to both retail and commercial customers. They have just invested heavily in reopening the Manchester fuel terminal and the fuel comes by pipe from the Pembroke refinery in Wales. When a tanker driver loads at a terminal he enters a code into the loading rig that tells the rig the amount of fuel he requires and if he is supplying Shell, Esso, BP, Texaco etc etc. So for Shell he might load 30000 litres of ul95 and then the system adds a squirt off V Power or for Esso a squirt of Tigers or Tesco a squirt of momentum, all fuel is exactly the same its only the additives that differ. 13. Its good that when people change cars they dont feel obliged to leave the forum, I used to run a Tiger (Westfield, Lotus 7 type) and still am an active member of the Tiger forum and still go for runs out with them, so if ever you are out and about and you see a gaggle of Tigers roaring past with a Zed in hot pursuit, that will probably be me Cars may change but friends remain friends.
  14. Look up NINEMEISTER BANK QUAY WARRINGTON, they have just done my 350 and its perfect see my post in the 350 section. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4
  15. Just wanted to add that ATS have a deal on with AVON at the moment, buy one get one at 50% off. They stock ZZ3's and ZZ5's (although the ZZ3's are getting harder to find)
  16. Apologies if this is in the wrong place but I took my Z to a Porsche specialist yesterday for a dose of 4 wheel alignment/tracking. I had used ATS but after 3 attempts at trying to correct a slight pull to the left they gave me a full refund and admitted defeat. Anyway NINEMEISTER in Warrington use the Hunter alignment kit and I have to say what a very proffesional outfit they are, although mainly a Porker specialist they had on the ramps undergoing alignment a mint Nissan Skyline and one of the lads is a 350z/260z/ owner, he really knows his Nissans and he set up my Z perfectly. What a difference. Morale of the story.... dont use ATS, they may have the equipment but are clueless in the use of it.... use a specialist like the above. They were cheaper also!! Dave

    ROTALLA TYRES

Thanks guys, I think I knew the answer all along gonna plump for 2 Avons. Lolzz 4 Rotallas ..... your lucky to be alive.
  18. When I bought my Zed a couple of months back I noticed that the rear tyres were a budget tyre (ROTALLA) and thought I'll have some fun with them before I replace them, oh my god if you are ever ever tempted DONNNNNT, NEEEEEVER, they are horendous, slightest bit of damp and they let go at every opportunity they are scary I kid you not. I would not even fit them to a pram !!!! Anyway I have been offered 2 Uniroyal; Rainsport 245/45/18 at a very good price and wondered if anyone else had used these, if they are crap Im going for Falken 453's. (Im running Avons on the front) Thanks Dave
