I may be wrong but if you remove the drivers side front wheel then remove the plastic wheel arch liner you might be able to access the bonnet release catch.

Was in Poland last week for a family wedding in Warsaw,got caught doing 82kmph in a 50kmph limit,£40 on the spot fine

Now £210, these also fit Jaguar XF.These are cheap at that price,need the space in garage! Got these on rear of my Zed,cant say had any problems with handling,had them on over winter and were surprised how good they were,seem to be wearing well too. Could get these delivered if really needed to,would have to find the cost if someone was genuinely interested.

Have to drill 3 holes per side on rear,fronts use existing holes. Mine cost £80 to get colour matched to car. Got mine from Tarmac

Just a note on car cover,if repeatedly removing on and off you may find it can scuff/ scratch paint as the cover will pick up any dirt etc thats already on car.

Have you checked condition of spark plugs? Have they been replaced since you had car,recommended change at 5years or 50k miles,tho some have found changing earlier benefits better starting and running?

Changed the rears on mine about 4 weeks ago,had exactly the same problem,inside pad worn to metal.As regarding sliding caliper arent the Zed on twin pot pistons that should both excert the same pressure onto disc?

Have you had the car up on ramps,must be some lovely scrapes underneath?Has the brake disc scraped too? -

Understand your comments,but isnt removing the brake fluid cap and checking the level while doing discs and pads the most basic thing to check?

Fitted EBC discs on rear about 5 weeks ago with Brembo pads,have got a line about 2mm wide on outer rim of disc but nothing on inner bit.On my old discs they have a lip of 2-3mm outer and inner.Would be tempted to have a look and double check pads.

Original rear discs changed at 34K,fronts 19k and looking to be changed again in next few months at about 36k.

I was with Admiral last year,their new quote was about £60 more than i paid the previous year,did an online quote and Elephant were the cheapest at about £80 less than my quote.Rang Admiral who straight away matched Elephants quote.£298,protected no claims,£200 excess.I too am an old fart,50,living in Derbyshire.
