  1. Hi, Looking for one of these covers to help conceal the contents of the boot. New / Second Hand, don't mind as long as in good condition and price is right
  2. Saw it at the pictures..... she goes full naked.... I mean FULL naked Hmmm ... I think I may have to acquire a copy to judje for myself ... LoL I am a member of Lovefilm and had a copy of said film arrive on the doorstep recently. Got myself all excited at the prospect of seeing Kelly in her full glory. How gutted was I when the film froze and for the life of my I couldn't get it to start again, faulty disc! Sent it back, hopefully will get another copy soon.
  3. It's also advertised as 30mpg?! Not Modified but Nismo kit?! *TOOL*
  4. Hi, spotted today Nissan 350Z, Gun Metal, Private Plate R* *GG, Male driver. Driving out of the Car Park at the bottom of Camden Street. If you are on here let me know as I work within one of the units you were parked at.
  5. Simple answer is no. The thread size is the most important part as they differ from from one manufacturer/model to another. The aerial I have now was actuaslly supplied with 3 removable threads allowing it to fit most makes. The other consideration is around the diameter of the base. As I said, the S2000 version I got was about 20mm but the base on the Z is around 18mm so you get a bit of a overhang (genuine S2000 aerial may sit better). Fianlly, it needs to actually work. The current one I have is great, probably better than the stock one I had on before. Will keep you posted on the BMW Mini one
  6. Hi, After buying a version of the s200 aerial I was unhappy with the fit as the base was slightly wider than the mount it attasched too. Sent it back and decided t try one of these (item D) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWNX:IT It is slightly smaller at the base than the mounting but looks decent. I have since been contacted by the S2000 aerial seller to question my return. He has suggested this one as a better fit, although it is 20cm long so not as tidy. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-Mini-One-Coop ... 53e5e87a94 He has agreed to send me one so I can take a photo for him. Will post a pick on here and let you know how it works.
  7. Thats useful to know because I've not declared ours yet! I just received some from Alex yesterday so good for me also (with Admiral). See earlier up the thread. Admiral point blank refused to cover them Bah - same company - you just spoke to another nutsack who doesn't know what they're on about. Maybe but the guy from Admiral had the best knowledge around what they were and was the only one to speask to the underwriting team. Just saying it may be a good idea to be very vague when you do tell them.

  9. I decided to call back Elephant and speak top another member of the team. He knew all about Wheel spacers so that made things alot easier. I did send him off to double check with his manager which he did do. It seems that for whatever reason, if you have Alloys on your car, you do not need to even declare spacers with them. I asked that notes were added to the policy "just in case" which he has agreed to do. All sorted
  10. Thanks, I shall look him up and let him know you recommended him
  11. Hi guys, probably posting this in completely the worong place so apologies. I am looking to take the car in to have suspension checked out as seems to be a bit rough in the rea end with a fair bit of banging at times. Ideally I would like to take it to someone who understands and knows these cars well rather than just a local down the road. Any garages around my area you can recommend?
  12. All 3 are coming out about the same to be honest. Interesting that if I decide to keep the car on the drive rather than in the garage I can save another £40
  13. Do you have any idea what she recorded them on the system as? I will definately request that they are documented in some way. Could seriously do without someone refusing to payout if there was an accident.
  14. It get's better...... Decided to call Elephant next on the list (despite them being owned by the same company). Went through the online quote, told her about the mods and mentioned wheel spacers. She didn't have a clue what I was on about but decided to speak with her supervisor. She came back to tell me that they would class them as exterior decoration and would want another £11 on top of quote???? Having just been refused by 2 previous companies I asked her to double check for me, explained what the spacers did again and also told her other companies have refused to cover me. She came back and asked if I had alloy wheels on the car. I told her I had and she explained if that's the case we don't even need to know about the spacers then???? This makes the quote by far the best one but can I trust it? I mean lines are recorded so if there was an issue I am sure I would have a case but how can companies be so different?
  15. Hi all, After being told by Esure that they would cover wheel spacers, I decided to get some. On contacting them to advise that I have ordered some and will be fitting them , they did a complete U-turn and claimed that they were deemed to high a risk and would not cover them. Great! I raised a complaint. I have had a call back from them today to be told they won't cover them but they would gladly offer me a full refund as I had been advised incorrectly. So my search began. Been on a few comparison websites and added wheel spacers as modifications. Admiral came out top on all so I decided to get a quote direct to see if there was a cheaper price available. On entering modifications, I noticed that Wheel spacers were not on there (despite all comparison sites showing this as an option and bringing Admiral up in the search results). I decided to call them to find out what the situation was only to be told that they clasify them as suspension modifications and the underwriters consider them too high a risk and would not cover them. I know a lot of people on here are covered by Admiral, has anyone had any problems with spacers? Are there any companies out there that cover them on a policy with charging a fortune. (Sky Insurance and Chris Knott were a good £100 more expensive) Cheers
  16. Hi, Had crossed my mind also so would be interested to see how it looks.
  17. Hi BatteryLow and welcome to the forum. I am also a new zed owner of just 1 month with a gunmetal model like yourself. Glad to hear you are getting help, zmanalex is currently helping me with spacers and wheels! Where can I find info on the tape deck / ipod hack? lol Tony
  18. Thanks for the quick response Is that a difficult job to do? Was hoping to fit myself and the first option sounds a little easier although I have read somewhere that the replacement stud option are "stronger" as the wheel is stull fitted to the hub.

    Spacers

Hi all, I fancy getting some spacers fitted to the Z to push the standard OEM (not rays) out a little. Seems to be that many advise 20mm front and 25mm back for the rays, would this be the same for my wheels? Does this bring the wheels flush to the arch or in/out a little? Also, can anyone recommend which ones I should consider and where to buy them from. I have searched for what seems like hours and not found any recent info. Cheers in advance
  20. Who do I speak to about spacers? What size is recommended? How easy to fit? How much?
  21. Oh excellent. Where will I find a number for him?
  22. The Zed can never be described as a boring car..........if you not modding it then just make sure its cleaner than everyone elses! Good for you with the mechanics.........probably best reading my post history for a 'not what to do' guide. As for anything useful there is usually a guide on here for most jobs. LOL! Well I did spend most of the first weekend with a clay kit and several different tubs of wax.
  23. Forgive my ignorance "spacers" I take it widen the wheel base? and "stubby" is that the aerial?
