  1. Lock this thread? It's all about next season
  2. That's terrible. The pressure stop is the solution though surely? Not removing an auto function which is what I think is a bit strange.
  3. On behalf of myself and Charles Darwin +2
  4. Surely they could fall / lean on the non-auto switch anyway? I hate this health and safety UK and EU BS ruining my automatic window function and other such perks!
  5. ^This one or stock imo. +1 but for me, not even stock, that one is much tastier +1 definitely
  6. This puzzles me, why did Nissan make an auto / manual switch for the electric driver's side window but only a manual switch for the passenger's side (unless I am being a noob, again)? It's quite awkward having to hold that button down to do windows whilst driving (clearly this is very minor, just asking out of curiosity).
  7. All they've ever done for me is stolen my money and made it take 6+ months and 14+ letters to get it back! Did get £30 compensation for that though...well worth it
  8. I've had a mare, (5 minutes of reading later) now I know what a VIN plate is...
  9. I just got my new plates made by http://www.demonplates.com/ and they are very good if that helps. The site has a really good preview tool too so you can try out loads of options to see how they will look. Don't know about OEM though.
  10. This was an attempt by me and my brother: Fine workmanship if you ask me
  11. Ouch! The addition of a Grandma with (~40 years no claims) to an insurance policy makes the world of difference...
  12. Just bought some Falken 452s to replace the front Bridgestones, the previous owner only went and put a bloody new set of Nexen N6000s on the back though. I'm tempted to ditch them for some more Falkens even when they are practically brand new... Urgh, next service is a P3 Scared
  13. 18-21 1.0L Nissan Micra (had seen better days...slightly) 21-24 1.2L Vauxhall Corsa (loved this car) Now
  14. Hahaha, thanks for all the responses to this, has made me feel a bit more comfortable with the idea. It's been done now anyway, definitely not going to be getting the looks in the Z this week that I have been used to. Needless to say a R17 space saver doesn't look the best on the car... Will be with this for a few days and will definitely be taking it easy. Thanks again for everyone's help, I'll write up a post once the alloy is done if they do a good job to let anyone else in the area know about them
  15. I felt pretty smug with myself getting one at 24, definitely got put back in my place when I found out about these guys haha. Welcome and enjoy it
  16. I was pondering this over for a good month or so too. In the end I decided that I would settle for nothing less than: Rays, Cruise + Leather. I am glad I did and know that my car has a lot of + points to it which will definitely make selling it a lot less painful. The GTs on autotrader in my price bracket were selling within a day or so of me finding them! Some non-GTs were sitting there for months on end, I think the GT is worth the premium to be honest. But I am a total noob (4 weeks) so what do I know haha...
  17. That thought did pass through my mind but I'm taking the car over tomorrow so prooobably a bit late for that now. I haven't had any definite DON'T DO IT posts from the Z experts yet so will probably go with the < 50mph for a couple of days plan...
  18. Such a cheesy idea, it just HAD to be speed!
  19. I have to wait 3 days for the alloy to be repaired and refurbished. Would be an absolute mission to get to work and back without the car. If I get the vibe from here that it's not a good idea to drive on it at all, even carefully for a few days then of course I'd rather the trek of a commute than a broken Z.
  20. Wasn't that one of the 'Speed' films? I definitely remember the bus bit, I'm sure it jumped across a drawbridge or something similar at one point?
