  1. Couldn't resist the chance to get the Zed in with the plane, might go back and try and get one with a Japan Airlines jet for a bit more relevance.
  2. Japex should be able to help? They're just of junction 20 M25 near Watford so not to far from Enfield area, I took mine over on Saturday, they were brilliant.
  3. What about a black stripe front to back?

    Drunken Purchase

Black on black with the badge in the middle definitely turned out well, an inspiration to us all. Does anyone have photos of the satin / chrome Z badges on a Gunmetal Zed? Plus, can you get a chrome version on the 350Z rear badge to replace the satin OEM one? I haven't seen any available in chrome, only black.
  5. Does anyone have any photos of a Gunmetal Zed with satin / black / chrome Z badges for me to see to kill my indecision? Thanks
  6. ATTAK Z - I did PM ZMANALEX and PIMM Think I will go for the Satin ones, like the idea of the black on the Gunmetal but maybe I will try and keep it looking smart rather than like a beast. PETER 10 - I'm in Enfield, you? Drive over to Uxbridge on the North Circ for work at the moment, have seen another Zed or two doing a similar commute haha maybe it's you! Satin it is then Head unit shopping time now too...
  7. Hi to everyone on the forum and already a big thanks to those who have helped me with some of my rookie issues! Thought I'd introduce myself to the club before I pester with problems. Bought my 2004 350Z GT two weeks ago and have loved it every day since then. Quite an improvement on the Vauxhall Corsa I am now selling...(2005/1.2 Sxi/Black/£3250 PM if interested) Here it is anyway (quite into photography too): Here are my current thoughts / plans / issues / background: 1) Have a buckle in front passenger OEM Rays alloy to get straightened + refurbished somewhere in the North (ish) London area. Have been quoted £160 for the job, might consider selling the damaged wheel and buying a new one... 2) Have Nexen N6000 245/45/R18 (nearly new and fitted by previous owner, damn it) on the back and Bridgestone RE040 225/45/R18 on the front. I want to replace the old Bridgestones (barely legal tread) with Falken 452s 245/45/R18 and then put them on the back too, does that sound like an OK plan? 3) Need to buy a Bluetooth Adaptor as I only have the cradle - Have sent a PM and checked eBay, will get one there unless anyone wants to sell one? 4) Can't decide whether to go for Satin / Chrome / Black 'Z' badges to replace the OEM front and rear ones. Welcome advice / photos of other GM Grey Zeds with their badges. 5) The Bose CD changer seems to HATE my CD-Rs and skips a hell of a lot. I'm hoping to get a new head unit with iPod and USB inputs some time soon and would appreciate any advice on that - don't really want to break the bank, £200 ish would be nice. 6) I have a high pitch whirring type noise which sounds as if it is coming from behind me when I drive (very high pitch, not too loud though). The noise is fairly constant throughout RPM / speeds / gears etc. I have been told that's fairly common in the Zed but my hearing is picking it up quite clearly so it's driving me crazy at times! Thanks to all of you who have already helped me, I don't expect answers to all of these questions and still have a bit of reading to do on some too. Just wanted to say how brilliant this forum is and hello to all! Dan
  8. I'm in North London and just drove out to Kings Langley to take the car to Japex. I cannot say how glad I am that I took it to them and not a main dealer. The guys were as friendly as anything, spent a good 30 minutes with me, found and solved my problem and didn't charge me a penny. I would not hesitate to chose Japex if you want someone who clearly knows and cares about what he is doing with your car, I will be going back there for any major work now for sure, even though its a fair distance more than my nearest WLMG. Thanks Japex.
  9. I had the malfunction light come on this morning (bit of a scare as I have only had the car for 3 days!), the throttle wouldn't engage until I turned the engine off and re-started (I drove it round the block in 'limp mode' wondering what I had blown my savings on). Used the guide here to get the code (P2135 - Throttle Position Sensor) and re-set the computer. Car has been 100% fine other than the one time, do you think I should get it checked out now or wait to see if the problem comes back first?

Car has been 100% fine other than the one time, will definitely get it checked out if the error comes up again any time soon. Thanks for your posts on here, helped me through a scary first weekend of 350Z ownership...
