Hi guys, viewing a 350z tomorrow!
Keyser replied to J7mbo's topic in Introductions & Welcome Messages
along If you find one that had an owner like Wasso (Driving Miss Daisy) his clutch was still going at 112K when we stripped his engine. -
Is your 350 a JDM? I only ask as UK and JDM sensors may be different - had an issue with a crank sensor in mine JDM one caused problems in a UK car but was fine in the JDM we borrowed it from - next thing to try is the crank sensor CPS between it and bank one cam sensor the timing is worked out. or so I believe.

But would you really mind having to drive the long way round

"GhostBuster" Sorry hun, just came into my head when I read the title - can't be much help as my mate is a plumber and he does outside work, so when I have a problem I call him put the kettle on and relax Only thing I do know is Dynorod are mentally expensive they had to pump our line when the students renting it blocked it and it was over £700 for around an hours work Hope you get it sorted though

You lot are going to have Wasso scared to death It is quite literally a 1/4 stretch behind the master cylinder that big crease was there before it's the same on the other side - I'll get a pic from in the engine bay on Saturday you won't even be able to tell I did anything. Don't panic Ian all is well with your girl -

O and if all goes according to plan we will bolt the gearbox back onto the engine and have our first test fit on Saturday (got to work late tomorrow night and then eat a huge take away so no update on Friday ) -

Good evening, Good evening, Good evening - No update last night as I was playing on Hissing SID (my 370z for anyone that didn't know) But tonight I had a play on Suzi So to start I finished the braided line on the clutch slave, just neatened up the outlet, Then onto the work bench with the rest of the Sikky clutch upgrade kit and the previously removed 350 master cylinder, (and very important cup of coffee) First I took a measurement 11cm from the face to the center of the pin (noted that down) then you have to strip both down a bit Done (and some coffee drunk) Assemble the Wilwood cylinder with parts from the 350 cylinder Done Adjust to the previously noted 11cm on centre Tighten up, re-join the reservoir with the supplied pipe and adapter Done jobs a good un (coffee finished ) Bolt it into the car what a PITA that is! Then realise the kit won't fit properly - normal for modifications like this, so I "modified" Suzi's body work a bit a slight stretch to allow the banjo bolt space to fit - like so - Finished job looks like this, -
Many happy returns mate
-
Yes thanks for that trip down memory lane or was it Papa's pothole farm track She is lower but not as low as Buster's so hopefully still very practical
-
Very nice Great colour as well
-
Was that the "no not doing anything else I'm happy with her as is" I think I may have had a relapse into Zeditis - and look what happened last time
-
Well I finished thinking and I know I said I wouldn't modify the 370 past the body kit but it's off season for track and I was getting restless so I've been naughty and been spending money with Tarmac again Got some other bits on order as well Updates to follow.

Well the lottery does OK at 1 in 14 million As to this idea - don't even go there my mate tried something similar for charity and it was a nightmare - audits and paperwork as you need a gaming license it is classed as gambling. you also have to pay for both the license the renewal and I believe it has to be a chartered accountant doing the books -

along Good luck with the hunt

Evening all and Wasso So went down to see the boys at Thread and Pipe - we sort have got a solution 50% seems good the other bit did not quite work out so I did a bit of fabricating, This is what I have It is basically a very long bleed nipple, it needs to be remote to allow clutch bleeding after the LS and box goes in the 350 so ..... i cut the end off Drilled it out Then welded the new adapter from Thread and Pipe onto the end Drilled the other end out so it is no longer a bleed valve but now just an extension pipe Cleaned it up bit of paint That's pipe 1 ready - Onto pipe 2 as made by the boys Bent to shape All installed - Inside the box coupled to new braided lines Then I pulled the dash apart and the wiper covers came out All to get at this Got it out ready to modify the replacement Wilwood with some of the stock parts More soon(ish) -
Nah - you see that a lot these days when they run out of stock the change the price to something stupid then drop it again when they get them back - saves removing and re-listing - can be annoying though.

That surprises me as you drive like your pants are on fire

The light on the switch is just a tap off of the 12v supply and an earth - light being on or off does not always confirm correct operation of the seats. So - first thing is you need to confirm 12v at the seat when the switch is on - I am not 100% sure of this but some cars will only run the seats if the engine is running due to the amount of power they draw. I would however assume you are not getting a supply at the switch - get a voltmeter on there and start tracing back. It may be the loom is not complete further back due to them not being an original fit but you could easily run a new feed from the battery with it's own in line fuse. So engine running switch on check the plug is providing 12v if yes look to the seat to find the fault if not the wiring is not quite right yet, As a side note if both are switched on the seats heat one at a time that is the Drivers side will draw a current but the passenger side will not, then after a few mins they switch - This I would assume is again down to the amount of power they need. Hope it helps

Yes mate, Hose 2 is only 6 inches long and is the bleed line hose one is long enough (just as it's from a LHD kit) to go to the new master cylinder and has a banjo connector fitted to connect to it. Also the new kit has a push and clip connector with rubber O ring both the ones on the box are threaded so it's just different fitments, hopefully I can get a couple of adapters to do the conversion. -

^^^^ You have to remember we have had lots of practice So onto tonights update or - How Not To Upgrade The 350 Clutch To Run a TR6060 Slave Cylinder. Before I start we knew a few of these issues would arise as we were expecting a T56 gearbox on the LS3 we actually have a TR6060, You can argue this is a good thing as the 6060 is a newer, supposedly smoother and stronger box. The bad news is the Sikky kit is designed for the T56 so little challenges do come up Onto the (not) progress First you need one of these But only because it's cold out there, really you are better to start with this The instructions say remove these Done Take the parts from the kit and replace them - Errrrrrrr so these are the swap parts for pipe 1 and the swap parts for pipe 2 (sorry about the pic) Well that ain't happening I'll be off to see the boys at thread and pipe to see if we can adapt the adapters tomorrow. I will also be looking into fitting this into the space where this is I did put a new seat cover in for Wasso But I didn't like it so I took the seat out instead More to come soon I hope -

I had to edit that out so Ian didn't kill you on the way home I have only just found out you can charge and record on the GoPro at the same time Case with hole in the side and charger are now on order - hopefully we won't have the same problem next time (if they arrive this week) Yes that was a fair point. Although, Vlad did a great job of making all other cars look incredibly slow, so I didn't want to distract him from the job in hand. I won't be buying bucket seats, unless they're at least an inch wider than his seats. Took me 2hrs to be able to walk again! That is not his seats that's all the dessert you ate on Saturday night mate -
