  1. funny enough I have just been reading newspaper reports on that sort of speed to get an idea of what you are likely to get... expect a 3 to 4 month ban as a minimum and a pretty hefty fine
  2. that's slightly more than an Ooops moment
  3. I can only echo what has already been said so many times.. such sad sad news R.I.P. Martin
  4. nice one well done on passing I am soon going to have to be taking my test for a California driving licence and will be doing it in an SL55 AMG
  5. no bites yet.... the Autotrader advert has another week and a half to run then shes going back on stock alloys and strut brace and the price is dropping and I will sell the alloys and brace separately which will be a real shame as the wheels really set the car off and I found it handles the corners much better with the bigger contact tyres
  6. this is what I had done all sourced from Ewen Exedy OEM kit with uprated release bearing LUK OEM Dual mass flywheel OEM Slave cylinder, uprated clutch line and RBF600 fluid New OEM Nissan spigot bearing New OEM Nissan clutch fork pivot ball
  7. what ZMAN said.. dual mass fly will be shot at 100k... get them both done. Exedy clutch is basically the same as OEM the flywheel options are many and varied and depends on how much noise you are willing to put up with. I went with the standard dual mass fly and exedy clutch kit from Ewen at Clark Motorsport. while you at it change the thrust bearing and spigot and change out the slave cylinder and fit a braided line
  8. just noticed I never gave a location in my original post. car is located in Redhill Surrey just off junction 8 of the M25
  9. OP based in Peterborough... shall we have a side bet on the dealer?
  10. the connection between the CAT and the y pipe is by button type studs that are fixed to the CATS.... grind them off then drill them out and replace with nuts and bolts
  11. ok ok circle away for a while.... see what happens with the car first
  12. As some of you will know from my other posts on the forum i am leaving the UK for sunny California in the new year so it has come time to sell our much loved Roadster. we have owned this car for the last 5 years and it has been an absolute pleasure to drive with it taking us on some amazing adventures through the Alps and this last year all the way to the south of Croatia and back via southern Italy never missing a beat. the sound and feel of this car driving through the mountain passes with the roof down is an experience i wish every car lover could have. anyway on to the sad business of actually selling her (yes she is a she... aren't they all?) Basic Information 2007 (07) First Registered 05/03/2007 UK GT Car Azure Blue Roadster 43,734 Miles 4 Previous Owners (we bought the car from Ancaster Nissan with 17,127 miles) Manual 6 Speed Gearbox Full GT Spec – Brembos, Black Leather Heated and Electrically Adjustable Seats Full Service History (P3 Service done last on 10/01/2015) 2 Keys Zenon Front and LED rear lights MOT until January 15th 2016 Always run on 99RON Fuel Service History 5,659 - 12/03/08 6,221 - 11/05/09 12,600 - 06/02/10 P3 - 17,127 - 04/11/10 P1 - 21,632 - 09/01/12 P2 - 25,047 - 15/01/13 P1 - 29,705 - 18/01/14 P3 - 35,354 - 10/01/15 Modifications Engine Uprev remap and dyno at Abbey Motorsport Motordyne Plenum Spacer Earlier DE lower Plenum for increased Torque HKS Panel Filter Motordyne Y-Pipe (non resonated) Scorpion Mid and Back box Summit Strut Brace Exterior clear front markers / reflectors lower mid section of front bumper plasti dipped black Rota GTR – Fronts 19x9.5 (245/35/19) & Rears 19x10 (275/35/19) with Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres all round with very good tread rear colour coded spoiler Stubby Ariel Interior steering wheel retrim by Jack at Royal steering wheel Nissan Connect touch screen sat nav with USB aux input and mini usb stick Other spark plugs recently changed new excedy clutch and dual mass flywheel about 8k miles ago Factory line Race brake fluid Pagid Discs and Brembo Pads 5k miles ago this car has been used as it was intended to be! we have driven it many miles through many countries and loved every minute of it and it has been serviced and maintained regardless of cost but it has not been babied.... as such it has picked up some age related stone chips and marks with the odd scrape to the wheels i also have the original Rays 18 inch alloys, strut brace, front markers and lower plenum. if the prospective new owner would prefer the car back on the standard wheels i can do this or if they want both sets of wheels in the sale i can do this also (with some negotiation on price) so as such the wheels are not for sale so for now you vultures can keep circling ;-) asking price is £9,500 as it stands on the 19s plus some negotiation on either the Rays or both sets of wheels i have many many many photos of the car but here are some i took today with a few from this years trip thrown in. thanks for looking

  14. nothing as silly as accidentally flipped the kill switch?
  15. well the father in law has bought himself a new car so he offered us his car at what he would have got trade in for it... seemed too good an offer to turn down as it will mean we have a car as soon as we get out there so no need to start hunting for one plus we know the history of the car... oh and of course we are getting it cheap... oh and then there is the small matter of the 5.4ltr supercharged V8 with 500 ponies that might have swayed the deal ok its not American Muscle but it is a V8. really need to get round to selling the 350!
  16. I have just agreed to buy a car in the states (yes I know Im not even out there yet!) but the deal was too good to pass up so it will sit on my father in laws drive for a couple of months till we get out there... Mercs don't float your boat?
  17. there are places / websites that offer this sort of thing already.... agreed they are labelled as speciality such as muscle foods and as such may not have full market penetration but a few of my non training / gym going friends now use muscle foods a lot
