My Zed is just over 46,000 miles old, it's got full service history. I just checked the service schedule on here and it says P1 at 45,000 miles. This is all the stamps from my book; 12999 - 1/2/06 - "81 point" 20378 - 2/3/07 - "P2" 28683 - 4/1/08 - "P2" 37762 - 11/11/08 - "P2" 39815 - 26/3/9 - Not sure what they've written here, just a scribble, might be a 2 but not sure! 41582 - 16/10/9 - "level 3" I'm new to servicing haha by that I mean all previous cars and bikes I've serviced and looked after myself, this is worth a bit more than the previous vehicles so I'd like to maintain the service history I guess. Can anyone reccomend a good garage in Portsmouth/Hampshire and what level of service I should do and if it even needs a service right now at 46500 miles? Preferably want a garage that is used to sports cars/350s.. but don't want to pay over the odds either. Don't want much do I ?

Luckily for me I don't live there so my car is rarely there overnight. I was worried about my car being left out on the roads each night but so far it's been safer on the road than my dads cars have been off the road! I cant believe someone would pour cement down a drain that's crazy!!!

It wasn't a passer by, were pretty sure we know who it is but obviously can't prove anything. Same person who threw nails over a few weeks back causing almost a grands worth of new tyres! Again no proof. My dad hasn't done anything wrong at all other than deny access to his property for someone to carry out work to their new oversized and overhanging extension which they dont have planning permission for. So we can only assume that's what it's about as he hasn't pi**ed anyone else off. The neighbour on other sides car got covered too but it looks like an overspray rather than targeted. The roof of my dads house and drive is covered too so god knows how they were spraying the paint stripper over, lol. I feel sorry for my dad as it's one thing after another, last thing he needs in a recession too. The dodge /was/ sold awaiting collection

I have a sunset orange zed and think it'd look 100 times better on black wheels. So I've been considering having my rays professionally resprayed black with a subtle orange flake. Has anyone had their rays sprayed before? anyone have any pictures of orange zed's with black wheels/rays? I will photoshop it later but wanted to gain your opinions first.

Someone has poured/sprayed/thrown paint stripper over my dads dodge ram, lexus LS460 and jag xjr. All three need at least 50% of panels resprayed. All this in a gated house, unfortunately he has no CCTV at the minute (despite us being a CCTV installers!! lol) so cannot prove who we think it is estimated £12,000 worth of damage. So glad my Zed wasn't there as I wouldn't be anywhere near as calm about it as my dad is being!! Just can't believe there are people out there who do stuff like this for no reason.

What.. no! haha I'd like to see this, I can barely get anything in the Zed.. once picked up a fish tank from my mums, only a little one but that didn't bloody fit! and I once picked my dad up from basingstoke at a meeting and due to a leg injury he took a small footstool, I have no idea how I managed to squeeze that in but it only just fit in.. can't ever imagine trying to fit a push bike into my Zed good luck!

So I'm looking at £200 just for that little cradle bit might have to try a few breakers yards I guess as that's a bit on the pricey side for me. Thanks for the reply :-) I'll try some ebay zed's breaking etc. I guess I'll have to cut a hole in my cubby hole though as it's a solid floor and can't see how it removes without taking the whole centre console out.

Anyone? got majorly stressed yesterday with crappy bluetooth hands free so really keen to get the genuine one up and working...!! I appear to have all the components including the box in the "laptop storage compartment" except I don't have the cradle in the cubby hole and the cubby hole has a solid base which doesnt look to be removable?? I'm confused.

I'm confused with mine! I have the control box in the cubby hole, buttons on the steering wheel and the microphone in the centre of the roof under the lights but i do not have a cradle! the cubby hole in centre dash appears to have a solid base too so no cut out like in the pictures?!!? Any ideas? I'd really like to get this all up and running but don't see why I don't have a cradle and have a different cubby hole.

When I was fitting my sat nav unit and had the dash apart I kept scratching the seat with the button on the back of my jeans. I was NOT impressed now way more cautious about what I'm wearing when I get in!

Yeah I'd be interested if around the £20 mark. I take it this purely to fold mirrors when ignition off and unfold when ignition on? guessing auto-dip in reverse is too much to ask for

Appreciate this is now sold, but out of interest, on sports mode is there a /massive/ decrease in fuel consumption? I'm considering one of these in the near future but knowing me will leave it in SP7 and do 3mpg everywhere so thought I'd check first.

Yeah I do ride, have done for about 8 years since i was 17. not riding much at the minute but going to sort the bike out very soon. Currently on an Africa twin though, bit different to an R1. I had an R6 a while back but now prefer adventure styled bikes and touring. The zed is my first proper car as well, haven't killed it yet but I'm quite slow and cautious to be honest only got it a few months back so weathers been a bit rubbish too, not really had chance to drive it much.

2 days mate! it lived in Poole before that. Our old one (that i killed) was GT51 KAT. Planning to meet up with Rog in Bognor soon, his is ginger too, we should have an exclusive ging' only meet lol. Very nice, I live in Portsmouth and I'm sure I've seen you as I recognise that plate (and there's not many sunsets around!) how long have you had it? Nice area of Southsea that too

And if your car was high mileage, needed a major service and a new clutch would it still be a con? Bear in mind the price they give is across the board so what looks unreasonable for a cherished vehicle is actually a good deal for something with mechanical issues, or someone who needs to sell a car within a week ......... Ive sold a S2K with a dodgy clutch and leaking hood, an M3 with a serious injector issue and an MR2 with nothing wrong with it but still got £800 more then the dealer I bought it from offered me on trade in I thought their offer was just a guide and you had to go and get it checked over by a local "webuyanycar" garage and then they'd knock the offer price down accordingly??? I did a quote on my car too just to get an idea of how much they offer and came out at £7025 (paid £10k) they then charge you £45 admin fees and you have to go and get it checked where the price is adjusted down if neccessary.

I was planning on buying a 12v socket for a few quid, wire this into the stereo supply then plug the usb adaptor in.... that way the only soldering you need to do is by cutting the lead and soldering or crimping the power to the new ipod phono lead....... almost certain this will be fine off stereo supply (someone correct me if I'm wrong) .. the ipod charger is only 2.1A the new 12v socket and usb adaptor would be behind the dash (taped up to prevent it coming unplugged) Ok it's not the most ideal solution but it's discreet and should leave just a short bit of lead with ipod plug coming out the dash....

Hi, I'm about to do this also. I have done the Bose mod with a 3.5mm jack plug. Am going to buy the same lead you've shown, wire the power to a hacked USB lead, install a 12v cig lighter socket behind the dash and plug usb in for power then plug the two RCA's into this, which in turn plugs into the USB hack. *should* work http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-5mm-Stereo-Jack ... 588ba552f3 Probably not going to get it done within next couple of weeks so you'll prob have it done before me.

It should pop open with one press, it's a common problem which is easily fixed... Get some 1p coins (or rubber tap washers are better as they offer a bit more flex so less chance of damaging the boot) open the boot and each side is a black spring with rubber boot, twist that off, remove the rubber boot and put the tap washer/coin in the bottom of the boot then put it all back together. Should solve the problem... I done mine last week with tap washers and it now pops up nicely with one press.

Yes passenger door should do same too. I believe if it doesn't it could be something with the window mechanism, someone with more experience will prob answer soon though.
