Maybe the springs are too spongy now, try replacing the springs and see how that goes if you know someone else with a Z with working boot then maybe swap them over to see if it resolves yours before finding some springs?

Just one on each side, the tap washers are slightly thicker than a penny, but squishier so less chance of damaging the boot. Worked perfectly, one press pops it open without having to pull it free of the catch. Took literally 2 minutes, was well impressed

I done the penny trick last week using rubber tap washers, worked perfectly so one push and boot pops up .. used to be two clicks and a hand! I need to send my struts off though as mine don't hold the boot up either! will get it done soon after seeing al these good reports rothers2091, what spoiler do you have? I keep thinking I don't want a spoiler, I like it as it is and dont want to look 2 fast 2 furious or anything (no offence to anyone, I like it on other cars but not mine ) but then I see spoilers like on yours and makes me re-think!

I'm gonna sell two cars but they both have private plates which we wish to keep, can these be transferred off at the time of sale or do they need to be done in advance??

I've just fitted a JWT pop charger to my otherwise standard 350 and love the difference, sounds a lot better if you ask me! I'm in the same boat about what to do next though, i do want a bit more noise, i cant stand anything that sounds "chavvy" though, im after super car sound so would be interesting to see what people are reccomending exhaust wise.... whats the benefits of just changing the "y pipe" everyone talks about and de-cats compared to a full system?

i did the reset which worked fine, but its come on again now. the only thing is i had bags etc on the seat and in the footwell again. ill reset it again and see what happens

Hmmm I did have a box on the seat and some stuff behind the seat which did move when it happened. I guess it was that, I'll do the reset and see what happens

My air bag warning light randomly started flashing today. It was fine until I gunned it from the lights, not sure how that would affect it???? I Have recently fitted a JWT pop charger and havent reset ecu but again dont see how that would affect it. I take it it needs to go to a dealer/garage now then?

I keep meaning to do this as well, and I have the same sat nav, although for some reason when i did a test fit there didn't seem to be enough room to close the cubby so needs a bit of playing around with! Looks good all done though nice work.

I've got my eyes on a plate with my initials. (proper spacing and lettering etc) £599 all inclusive of fees. A lot of dosh for being a poncy show off but doesn't stop me wanting it and restraining from buying one every time I sit down at my computer. I'm bad enough buying random stuff I don't need as it is, but the plate keeps on tempting me and tempting me!! Private plates are for show offs, which is why we ALL want one

Yep 4G.. I've got a 3G as well and the camera is rubbish in comparison, well, in general really!! 4G is only 5MP but it must have a better sensor or something as it's far better, especially with the HDR mode and if you've got good lighting then you'll get a really good pic

Finally got round to taking some pics of my car, albeit only with my iphone (which is suprisingly good!! and a mild bit of photoshopping) Put it up my dads driveway for the time being as I'm still a bit paranoid about it being left out on the road and don't really want to risk driving it in the snow as I don't need to. May well use the winter to do some mods, shorty aerial, fit my nissan reverse sensor kit, maybe a JWT pop charger too So glad I bought the nissan now instead of waiting till late next year as my previous plans were. Don't regret it at all

No snow in Portsmouth (yet) but the Zed is going on my dads gated drive away from the dangers and perils of snowey roads! Going to use the crappy van all winter. I so miss my truck, can't wait till I can get another one next year as the daily driver in place of my van ^^ That was a great day

Do u not have the cradle already? Has someone removed it? There is a plug in the armrest of the car under the little felt covered tray. It should just plug in there. But if u haven't got it it's gonna cost u to get the cradle then the BT module. Which would go half way to the cost of a new HU. Put a new HU is the way I would go! Don't have a cradle for some reason even though I have a GT model! I think I'll go down the new head unit route

How difficult is it to fit the car phone cradles?? I'm trying to decide between doing the ipod headunit mod + fitting a car cradle + bluetooth module or just getting a din convertor and fitting a suitable bluetooth headunit... I loved my Sony one in the van (until some bastard stole it ) as it streamed music via bluetooth and calls etc... was just so easy no wires no nothing to worry about... just may be more expensive this way.

I apprecieate your point, I've found a local company that will do a full a/c service for £70 and come to me or £60 for a check and regas only. I'll consider it, it does sound like the air con needs looking at. Just extra cash I didn't want to spend. Anyone used Kwik Fit for air con service? Apparantly as little as £30 or so and they'll do it while I wait, full check and re-gas or no cost if the system doesn't need gassing.

Well that looks really easy actually, I might consider that quite soon. Just be a shame to buy it then find the system pressure is fine but that's sods law I guess! I'm sure the air con isn't as good as it should be. Getting expensive this now haha, just bought nissan reverse sensors. I have a JWT pop charger and plenum spacer on the "to buy list" and on the "really urgently need" list is new gas boot struts and air con recharge hmm!
