  1. Still loving these thread the car will be epic and i had missed not having any updates but i feel like a little kid reading this thread and just wanna ask ARE WE NEARLY THERE YET???? Cant wait to see it finished would be worth the drive just to see it.
  2. Gone to a good home indeed, was a simple fix sheet of fibre glass at the back for strength then some body filler and all fixed Spoiler, I Know im hoping its still there when i get back. cheers for the comment on engine bay it is still a work in progress as is the whole car, but thought i would concentrate on the bit people see for a while rather than the bit i only really see. well next time i drive down i will show you, I dont really show anything in person until im totally happy with it. Yeah i wasn't sure on the badges either maybe try a coat of black intead but they wont be fitted untill i get the new front bumper anyway so got plent of time to make my mind up. RE: Jack i am wanting alloys just waiting for one of the sets i want to come up i have 2 sets in mind that i want and not gonna rush and get somin else as i know what i want and just need to be patient and wait for them.
  3. Few bits done recently. First up the clutch went so ordered a clutch kit from the ZMAN but unfortunately didnt have the exeedy flywheels in so after a bit of hunting round ordered the Competion cluth ultra lightweight. Next i purchased a set of genuine Nismo Side Skirts from Sparky370, one was damaged so i set about repairing the damage and a test fit then they came back off and were prep'd and primered. now on the waiting to be painted list with a few other bits. Now thanks to Sparky and another 350 owner i had a free set of Z burger badges, They were in need of a little tlc so i thought i would try something a little different. whats peoples opinion. then a test fitting, these were only held over the current badges with gum tape to see what it would look like, Now off on holiday, but more planned when i get back, comming up new bumpers, spoiler and wheels
  4. Nice meeting you too and many thanks for the freebie, was a lovely drive on way back compared to the way down but least it helped bed the new clutch and flywheel in. Skirts are nearly fixed now, gonna do a test fit this afternoon then last bit of sanding and they should be ready for installation. Sorry Smudgedon but money talks im affraid, and i had been waiting for a genuine set for a long, long while.
  5. I had an issue different to yours where i bought something off a member on here it was already described as broken which i was fine with i had seen the pictures and it was an easy repair and still in one peice just a crack, when the item arrived it was late and delivered to my neighbours house as soon as i picked the package up i knew it wasn't correct as there was no way a strut cover should be in 4 peices, i messaged the seller and he contacted the delivery company who basically told him to f-off as it had been signed for, how my elderly neighbour was meant to know what it was and how many peices it should be in is beyond me. Now i do not for one minute blame the seller or have any grievancies with him my problem is, i think the delivery driver knew they had broken it, so delibrately delivered to my next door as i would never of signed for it, i have pictures of it before being posted and me opening it and its disgaceful. In the end i took the hit it was the risk i took buying something with out any buyer protection so i was left out of pocket with a useless strut cover. I dont really think you have much ground to stand on personally, but its hard knowing with out seeing what was said before the transaction and what photos were provided if any, i also dont think you should be paying 35 quid for delivery though and wondering if the use gold labels or something lol. Sometimes things dont work out and we lose out, i haven't let it put me off buying something from the forum however i wouldn't use hermes anymore.
  6. Skirts sold to me pending collection and payment.
  7. Two part mould bottom half made using fibre glass then top half made using cf with fibre glass reinforcement the two halfs are then joined during the moulding process or something along these lines, if the whole bonnet was made out of cf they would be at least 3 times more expensive i reckon.
  8. not really found anything strange on google maps but i did just spend half hour looking for this with not much luck. The fact it has an orange tail fin makes it look a bit easyjet-ish.
  9. So hard to say as you can possibly get close to 40mpg on the motorway, and then with a nice heavy foot you could get this down to single figures i think especially on a track day. As a rough quide i do a 12-15mile trip to work every day in mine 3-4miles of country roads then 4-5 miles of dual carriage way then the rest is made up of town driving and i get around 24-25mpg driving normally.
  10. Shocking! lucky you didnt get pulled over by mr plod as im sure they wouldn't believe this story and you would of got six points and your car confiscated,
  11. without knowing to much about age and previous problems and that. if its running hot a good start place is to open all available openings on the macbook/laptop (vents, slots, Drives, covers etc) and run a the hoover hose over them all this will suck any dust from the internals and off any components that may cause it to run hot. may not fix your problem but should do this once a year to laptops and games consoles anyway.
  12. Pm'ed about the exhaust very interested
  13. Glad you sourced some bearings and pistons if not i may have been able to get some for you step dad works for engine parts who import all this stuff, they supply abbey i believe its his best mans company so could sorted you a deal
  14. Thats right all i get is the --:-- where the clock should be, im starting to think it needs something else to get the clock function to work correctly as the set feature does not seem to work. Its not a big issue as just having the consumption in mpg and dte in miles makes the mod worth it would just be nice to get the clock working, i wonder if anyone who has done this mod has got the clock working or does it require a new cable and control box at the least.
  15. arhh i did do a search but searched clock setting sorry. well holding down the lower button seems not do clock setting but change it to another of the readouts somehow.. I will try the other suggestion but was wondering if its because it was a JDM and i but Uk gauges in and there something missing for the clock to work correctly. And holding down the lower button is how i thought it would be done which is why i was shocked when it didnt and thought well now i haven't a clue.
  16. I recently swapped my JDM tripple gauges for UK ones and now the gauges have the clock feature but it is currently unset. How do i set this to the correct time is it possible, i have tried holding down the button that normally resets the tripple gauge readouts but i cant seem to work it out.
  17. yeah it is worth it your right i dont like the km/l everyone always asks what you get in that and im like havent a clue. You can get a bigger number just my having a lighter right foot, mines 9.2km/l and thats mainly town and country roads although traffic lights are a big killer of the figure.
  18. Yes they do, having said that though the speed in the triple clusters on yours should already read in mph but just displays kmh still even though it is mph. everything else is as said, and i have been informed many times changing them will give you mpg rather than km/l etc, also i believe it will give you a clock also but i may be wrong on that one
  19. Thanks as always im sure i got a pressure tester somewhere in garage, but will use this as an excuse to change the triple gauges to uk spec ones whilst it not working so on the look out for a new sender unit then.
  20. Thanks as always alex, is it an easy job.
  21. I noticed on my drive home my oil pressure gauge has started reading over the max as soon as the ignition is switched on it never fluctuates until i turn it off. i have checked for leaks and checked the oil leve but from what i have read it is either the gauge, sender or oil pump is there anyway to test which one has failed without having to replace them one by one.
