Hi guys :-) Thinking about selling the TVR been hardly able to use it in this weather and although I love it other 1/2 hates it lol I really liked the zed when I had it and only sold it cause I fecked my knee and was having probs changing gear so thinking maybe look for another one if I do sell the TVR Have had quite a bit of interest in my car, even from Germany and Holland !!! so have to think serious if I am going to sell, but if I do another Zed will be in my thoughts

Roof was down when it was out today Its in very good condition - previous owner had it 7 years and pampered it Its the 450 so (allegedly) 283 bhp and 0-60 in 4.7 secs and only 1067 kg

sorry was using phone yes when car is stationary the miles are clocking up - (not my car) apparantly it can be sitting idleing at traffic lights and the revs rise and the miles rise

Yes the guy reckons it's went up an extra 600 miles on top of what he's done

Strange one on a jap import when at rest revs go up and so do the miles. Any ideas

discussion going on on another forum, someone stating that there is only one actual Nismo in UK. According to wiki only 1 NISMO S-Tune GT was brought to UK by Nissan sort of backing up what the guy is saying. Anyone know different ?

My knee all sorted so the SLK is up for sale and hopefuly be sold this weekend ( good old eBay) at moment trying to decide between coming back to a zed or prob more likely scratching that TVR itch I have had for a while. Any other suggestions ?

The drop links are can also be especially loud when going round roundabouts I found. I got a steady cluckinging on mine every time, but could only hear it with window open. can recommend the powerflex ones from they appeared much higher quality that the Nissan original and cheaper as well

I have no probs with well repaired Cat D (if that can be proved) price wise think you should be looking nearer the £5 to £5.5k

+1 on the SLK55 the V8 sounds amazing and very well built only thing was slightly disappointed in the performance it really did not seem that much quicker than mine (SLK32 AMG)

Well took the plunge today, after my knee going again yesterday my TVR dream was a non starter as it had to be an auto but as if by magic something else came up only an hours drive away 348bhp supercharged engine, with 331 lb-ft of torque and a claimed 0 to 60mph in either 4.5 or 5.1 (depending on what site you look on). I sold mine last week and basically lost quite a bit, yes i did pay more that going price when I bought it but in real terms I recon I lost £1k in the 6 months I had it. I also spent almost £2k on servicing, some bits from Alex and new brakes and tyres. I wasnt planning on selling but force to due to dodgey knee. Mine was a 2003 with full nissan history and under 60k miles. I sold via pistonheads - nothing doing on Autotrader and only idiots on ebay (got far more interest from an auction than a classified add though) Intially had nothing on piston heads until I dropped price under £8k and said it was being traded in !!!! Have you thought of swopping it for something that may sell easier or be more attractive to the stealers ?

Looking through the jag forums there does seem to be an element of poor design as it was based on the old XJS platform, there is a thread on piston heads that has pictures of some with huge holes in the footwells in 8 year old cars . Looks some people realised early and got some rust proofing in so there are still some in great condition. I love the way the cars look but now crossed of my list of possibles

6 months There is a lot of cheap RX8's out there at moment which are complete dogs but people are expecting to pay same money for well looked after examples. Spoke to a guy the other night who had put £1000's in to a vauxhall vx220 in last year but is not getting offered any more than the poor negglected example
