Just saw the title and went "here we go..." haha. Only ever heard reviews about them but they all seem to be bad, but people are right every dealer can be crap so when buying from a non-manufacture or big brand dealer, take someone with you and know what you need to do and find out. When I got my Z from Lotus Newcastle they were just a small garage and I got the usual 3 month warranty. Drove up thinking...ahh Lotus..big name... dealership looked a bit of a shed despite having some Ferrari's and Bentleys haha, but they were nice and helpful enough. Everytime you see Junction 17 the cars are polished to the hilt and flashy showroom type pics, DB9's, Z's etc the lot, just goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover... in this case...they look good but absoloutely SUCK lol. Keep looking I think... Despite all dealers having 'risks' theres enough on this forum to pass them by... certainly not 'one off' bad reviews anyway! I wonder if there aware of us and this view haha

370 seats look a bit naff compared to the 350's.... not sure how the 370's are for 'hold' but I think both suck with that anyway.
-
A "neeesan 350 zeee" God I hate 'one pipe' Zeds...
-
I love being able to be in 5th and go round corners at frankly engine juddering speeds without changing down... because the Z doesn't, not even a hint of struggle, 6th is really when you notice it struggle, but I wouldn't recommend that lol
-
Oooh I would have loved to read that...and 'we' won?? Out of an RS, 360...even an Atom?? How... haha If you can paste decent pics of the pages where the Z's in it so we can have a read
-
They were 'only' around £26-30K new so unless its got a good hold the price was always gonna be good used... although they seem to stick around 4.5-5K no matter age/mileage on the older cars
-
Yep, they came in 276, 296 and 309 (I've seen US ones and reviews claiming 286 odds and stuff not sure what that's about lol) Im gonna guess its Twilight Gey....best colour, goes with the calipers well Congrats!

Maserati Granturismo, Aston Vantage or ...... Decision P8
AMT replied to Sam Mcgoo's topic in Other Cars
On a random note I've had a black Maser pull into the Tesco petrol station near my work once... I started up my Scorpion/Cobra combo ready to leave...nice. The maser started up and JESUS. Its LOUD rumbly (yes I said rumbly) and purposeful. I've heard vantages and there not in the same league for sound. Masers so much more deeper and louder. And I've also just seen a few pages back the XKR exhaust clip, they also sound damn good. My neighbours 4.2 even firing up I can hear with my windows closed, deep and low is the sound to go! haha Aston's is quite harsh and higher pitched. If its got to be out those two... try and get the higher engines (4.7 etc) Otherwise... if you want more nimble, lighter feeling car, get the Aston, if you don't mind having a big comfy GT and want better sound...get the Maser. I'm more biased to comfy GT... but again...I'm poor. And considering a GTR is a totally different type of car to those two..and not that comfy...so I've heard anyway -

Hell of a lot of reading in this so I only done a few pages I have been in the early 380bhp Vantages and I was left a little underwhelmed tbh, interior isn't as nice as you'd think. If it came to the two, I'd be having the Maserati easily. However the bills for both can be...horrific, if I couldn't have the 4.7 Maser or a DB9! For the budget you could have a barely run in XKR (and the interiors in them are fine, newer ones are lovely places to be). Not got the same 'effect' but near as damn just as good looking... infact It IS just as good looking, besides fuel etc running cost aren't that much, nowhere near the Aston or Maser for repairs/servicing and then theres the big hitter.. it might not be able to put its power down as effectively as newer cars but you still get...510bhp and it sounds amazing. I'm slightly biased as I want an XKR (well my budgets a 4.2 - and even they have about 416-420bhp..whatever it is) but that's on hold for now. Just throwing it out there... Otherwise out those two...Maser. -
 ... just buy an HR you know you want to

I was lucky enough to have a ride (courtesy of a charity donation to them of course) at Thirlestane Castles big classic car show... and let me tell you it SHIFTS. The torque is ridiculous. I also paid for a ride in a Diablo another one of my childhood 'heros'...and the Viper still felt the quicker pulling car!

Besides engine wise (HR is still the one to go for if you can) the interiors although minor make a difference. Go see the two types and sit in them physically.. the lighter grey colour around facelift versions makes a nicer difference to the slightly 'bin liner' colours of the DE (sorry lol). The silver bits and slight colour changes make a lot of difference if your sitting in something every day.

Oooh, does that mean the media have been raggin' yours about originally haha obviously before it was let go I'm sure it made sure it was mint Love a car with a bit of history!
-
If you can put a bit more by and get a well serviced HR, its worth it. Otherwise just look for a well serviced car, not sure I'd pay a 'lot' more for a 296 when a well sorted 275 will do you

I've got a scorpion exhaust and a cobra Y-pipe, not hugely different from standard I don't think just a bit crisper and 'fruitier' lol. Don't think it'd be too loud for a track at all

Touche... lol! Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk

Who on earth goes to the effort of knicking a part without another part... my god. Folk are mental at times
-
I can put £30 in and easily run it out in two days without going supermental, depends how much accelerating, overtaking and loving the sound of the engine you do... tbh if you do anything over 2K on revs... say bye bye to your fuel. Only way I managed to keep it for any length of time (besides doing a continuous long ass motorway journey) is changing soon at low speeds (which you can do in the Z, plenty torque in all gears except maybe 6th) and keeping it in 6th below 2K at 50mph.
-
I just couldn't live with a Z4's looks... the Z's are not pretty but not bad, aggressive in a kinda 'thick club bouncer' way but I'd rather have the looks than the Z4's, no matter how it drove cos a huge appeal of a car to most is the looks... unless your not bothered...then by the nimbler BMW haha
-
Seen ..possibly... the same white nismo just two cars infront of me at Juntion 5, you turned right heading up towards Salsborough
-
Ok lets get back to the price here..... Buy a Punto... jk
-
No idea... only one I've seen is an 'older' gentleman...George? Or did I make that up. Steve and Kris known him I think. Only ever seen three 370 Nismos around Lanarkshire... White gen1 a few times, a silver gen1 and then a mystery white gen2 heading into my town ... my god it looked good haha

Spotted today heading westwards as I was heading home on the M8, just going past the quarry (about 4:30pm). I'm sure its a guy I've seen at the meets, can't mind your name sorry! lol
