Hi all failed my m.o.t yesterday nothing major just brakes all round front discs and a bulb however i knew my front discs were shot to pieces and my pads were on its way out (the guy said i was riding on metal) which is weird cause there is no squeaking or grinding!! anyway took my fail and advisory (a strong one for my discs) luckily for me my pads and discs arrived the same morning however i failed as they said pads were less than 1.5mm thickness all round when i took them off there was over 4mm left and plenty of life left despite that i changed the discs and pads at the front nd sheered a bolt my question is the rear discs are fine if the pads at the rear are the same thickness (4mm) or above the 1.5mm limit can i challenge my m.o.t only reason why is ive got brembos going on the rear next month and dont really want to fork out on pads if i dont need to like i say i havent felt the slightest problem with braking in pst 6 months and its no different now. when i told they came up with some rubbish about they 'cant see all the pad' and 'well you were going to change them anyway' then 'it is the only thing that is stopping you' i know all this and im no idiot when it comes to brakes there the most important thing which is why im upgrading, but that is what i want to do upgrade not pay more for no reason then upgrade any help would be great sorry for long winded post

yeah it is a jdm calliper i just need the pin and the bolt that goes in it, thats ok if you can post tommorow thats cool, how much for the pin and the bolt??

help needed asap nissan said cant get one till wednesday can anyone get me one quicker??? its the pin that goes through the boot on the bottom of the calliper (once removed allows you to swing calliper up) on the front brakes cars obvuiously undriveable like this so need one asap any help thanks

scratch is on left hand side of bonnet right at front of car go straight up il try get a pic if you want?? say £75 ??

alright mate i bought that one on ebay so mines up for sale its got 2 half inch scratch in it thats all so would require respray its in blade silver but that prob wont help but noticeable up close only im in surrey

prime vulture here waiting for you to strip it lol and your lights!! i wuld say strip not that i want all your stuff or anything but i had the option of buying a modded zed and a standard one and went for the standard one after finding out about the forum i wish i hadnt (only cos im spending more now modding it from scratch) as i was also put off at the thought the previous owner may have hacked it around, if it doesnt sell on here then strip it back to OEM

thats a nice piece of kit i love my snap on tools (the few that i have) never use them actually!!i think that list is spot on haha got to have some sort of bacon sandwich or something in there too though

i got one for christmas there ok, get a tough nut and the thing will overheat and start smelling but has removed some pesky bolts in its time is worth it for some bolts that an average bloke cant undo with ratchett but i ended up getting air compressor much better at the job.... i mostly use it to whip the nuts off my wheels

i get comments from all sorts today got back to my car with two estate agents outside there office having a fag bending down looking at my wheels, without doubt the most uncommon good looking car out there...mines always filthy and when i wash it i know it will be a comment week lol although someone did ask me if it was a ford the other day??????

ive got a set mate with a spare bridgestone if i remember will have to check the house one had a nail in it but i never noticed it on car so thats an easy puncture repair, very slight scuffs near perfect condition PM if interested

well for all off like 2 weeks had eyebrows on my car thought they were ok wasnt to sure about them but anyway travelling at pace down the motorway led me to loose one haha so that idea was over however after removing the other one i cant get the sticky tabs things off the lights!! any suggestions ive tried warm water soapy stuff its not having it can scratch it off gntly but would take me hours its stuck on that much is there any thing i can use that wont damage lens but will get the glue off??

haha your having a laugh lambo doors!! im such a donut would prob smash myself in the face everytime i got in the zed never did like those lambo doors even on a lambo!! i slid into a concrete post about 9 months ago now and my passenger doors was mangled its taking me this long to find one and im still not 100percent on the colour match theres so many shades of the same bloody colour its a joke il find out this week when i have the two side by side!! cheers guys i heard something about window reset or something but i will just pu the windows fully down on both when removing and installing im presuming that will deviate any problems.

As above are there any guides at all??tried searching but all i got was door panel removal, im swapping the door over for new one so is it just a case of unbolting and disconnecting electric cable then reverse for new door??
