  1. Welcome uh oh, I think we've been rumbled
  2. I want to hear his impression of the Airbus
  3. I'm in Bexleyheath
  4. Great thank you, will see what happens with the plastx and look into the g5 if it still needs a little refining
  5. wet and dry will dull it, but polish will bring it back to gloss. i'd possibly finish the job with some rubbing compound for an even finer finish Will megs polish bring it up after using plastx
  6. Thanks for all the replies, the plastx is what I was hoping to hear about, will this dull the plastic? Also is it ok for interior plastic which is scuffed? Would like to rescue it before I consider replacing.
  7. I'm not sure I trust myself with a machine, I prefer doing it by hand lol Would a paint cleaner work? I have megs paint cleaner and swirl X but not sure if they would be too harsh, I don't want to make them dull.
  8. Hi guys As people will have seen from my intro, I'm picking up my new zed on Saturday. Unfortunately, although the pictures of her make her look clean, up close she looks like she's been wiped over with a brillo pad, there are fine scratches and swirls all over her (the sides mainly) I have many lotions and potions and can't wait to get her back looking new, but wondered if there was anything specific I could use on the plastic B pillars as they're all scratched and swirly too?
  9. Thanks for the welcomes, I'm already going to Japfest with another club as she'll be on the stand with my boyfriend's Supra TT but will come and say hello
  10. Lovely car, I saw this on Pistonheads too, but wanted the Rays, pick mine up Saturday, looks like win win for both of us
  11. Thanks guys, she is gorgeous, can't wait to bring her home, been lurking on the forum for a while but now I finally have my own Z I'm in Bexleyheath in Kent (just outside South East London), only ever seen about 3 zeds around here so still quite rare
  12. After a very long year of waiting and driving Boyfriend nuts, I am picking up this beauty on Saturday. Went to see her earlier today and put a deposit down a little while later The Good Stuff 55 plate Black Nissan 350z GT with all the extras (apart from the sat nav which I didn't want lol) including 18" rays. I can see I am going to be very busy over the few weeks giving her a good clean inside and out getting ready to show her off. Really looking forward to finally attending shows with my own car Anyway, here the pics we took just as we were leaving, believe me there will be plenty more to come once I have picked her up
  13. A dog grabbed timmy by his right hind leg when he was trying to get away it shook him until it came off, and he's not a small cat, he still managed to get home! He's now permanently a tripod and amazingly although a little wary he's not as scared of dogs as I thought he would be
  14. So sad, there are some seriously sick people around however much it would be nice to see timmy rolling araound in a garden, at least him being an indoor cat I know no one can get to him
  15. I took mike out for a meal last night, the waitress did look at us funny when she saw me paying not him lol As we live 50 miles apart I'm cuddling up with the cat (who snores like a train) on the sofa with a bottle of wine and will no doubt speak to him on the phone later
  16. Hi guys I'm the girlfriend, although Michael says currently looking I can't actually sell my car for at least another month so not really actively looking (although it hasn't stopped me trawling the Auto Trader and Pistonheads every lunch time for the past 18 months). Been reading on here for pretty much the same amount of time to find out as much info as I can and unfortunately from seeing some of your cars I now have a pretty long list of mods I want and don't even have the car lol Got some really good insurance quotes already (yes I have become obsessed) and got quoted £574 with Admiral so only £200 more than on my 02 Megane 1.6. I love the way men word things though as above, we actually buy one. Take me for a spin. Looks like I'm spending the money and he's gonna be having all the fun Thanks for replying guys and Michael will have to get back to you about the areas in Surrey as I live 50 miles away in Kent and have no idea about Surrey apart from how to get to his house. Unfortunately we won't be able to make the Brighton Drive I expect, as Michael always seems to forget that he teaches Taekwondo on a Sunday morning until 1pm Looking forward to taking a more active role in the forum when I finally have my Zed Vix
  17. Still not got my Zed yet (although I am on the final countdown) so thought I'd post up what I do have. This is my big boy Timmy who i adopted 2 years ago from the Cats Protection League after he was sent there when his owner died. He still freaks out if you lie on the floor too long and licks and nudges you til you move. Make: Oversized Moggy Model: Tripod Age: 8 Likes: Licking noses, food and sleeping on you Dislikes: Strangers, loud noises, fast movements, being picked up, being groomed He's a big wimp really, but I wouldn't have him any other way His favorite sleeping position, I'm sure he thinks someone's going to steal this leg His most favorite toys in the world, he doesn't react to catnip but these valerian knotties certainly do the trick, I can't even get them out the bag sometimes!! I have a video of him playing with this but have no idea how to post it from photobucket Vix
  18. I bought on a First Time Buyer's Scheme a couple of years ago (they don't actually do these anymore they're just Homebuyer Schemes so you don't actually have to be a FTB - in Kent anyway). I own 100% of the Title but have two Charges, one is my mortgage and the other comes from the government. I have 61% with mortgage and deposit and the government have 39%. You don't pay rent on the 39% as the property is yours but you have to pay interest on it. The interest starts after 3 years (I'm selling next year, fingers crossed, so won't actually have to pay any of it!) at 1% and goes up every year to a maximum of 3%, you can pay off the Charge if you want to. I was supplied with a mortgage broker who was really helpful (the mortgage company even knocked the builders down £15k on the purchase price) and as long as I used the solicitors that were recommended by the builders, they paid my fees including stamp duty. I didn't need a big deposit either you just had to prove you had £6k in savings and earn over £20k a year. This was the best thing for me as there was no way in my area that I could afford to rent let alone buy and I don't regret it at all. Just make sure you read the small print. I didn't find out until after I bought it that the Charge the government have increases by minimum of 2.4% each year (after the first 3 years) so if you stay there and don't pay off any of the charge itself, you'll probably end up with a bigger Charge than your mortgage! Thankfully I won't be there long enough but I do think they are a good place to start and has got me on the property ladder. Also (although I don't know how true this is and am wary of it myself) I was told by the mortgage broker that if the price drops and I sell the hit is taken by the government charge and not me so I don't lose out but as I said I'm not sure I believe this! At the end up the day its up to you and your circumstances but there are options out there and I have seem them on older properties not just new builds, but new builds you tend to get better deals i.e. fees/stamp duty paid for. Not sure if this makes sense as I'm a bit of a rambler but hope it helps lol Vix
  19. Try these guys, I think they're near Horsham, they have a great rep with mkivsupra.net, this is where mine will eventually be going when I finally get one!! http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=206312 Vix
  20. Your Z is lovely Paul, really liked the green too, but not sure I'd be too popular if I got a car the same colour More pics should be coming from the garage today or tomorrow, they prefer to send loads of pics rather than one or two so you can really see the progress. From what I hear Michael will soon have his mistress back Vix
  21. Pics are great but don't do the car justice, the work that has/is being carried out is outstanding. Can't wait til she comes home, all I need now is a booster seat so I can see over the steering wheel PS I'm the girlfriend who's looking for a Zed For anyone who wants a closer look, we'll hopefully be at JAE, where no doubt I'll be studying your cars for ideas Vix
  22. We But Any Car and Car Craft are the same company. They buy off you ridiculously cheap and then sell it on 2-3k more than its actually worth with minimum 29% Apr on their finance and get all stroppy if you don't want the finance. WBAC also don't give you what they quote as when they look at it they scrutinise so closely that even a small pin dent or stone chip will knock about £100 per bit of damage.
