  1. She's lovely Niki, you've got the right weather for it too!
  2. I know how she feels on the travel side of things. I have various "invisible" illnesses which I'm on medication for which I won't bore you all with, but one of them is basically if I stand for significant periods of time (although if I am hot or anxious it can happen a lot sooner i.e. 5/10 minutes), the vagas nerve in my neck shuts off oxygen to my brain and I pass out (thankfully I have always come round shortly after!). I use the train and tubes for work and the amount of times I have had comments from pregnant ladies or the elderly about not giving up my seat (bearing in mind no one else is doing it either so not sure why I'm singled out), I really have to hold my tongue when it happens as with the pregnant ones all that comes into my head is "your pregnancy is your fault, my health conditions are not mine". Numerous times I have had to sit on the floor on a train and tube to stop myself from collapsing and have had no help from anyone just a few weird looks when I go pasty and my eyes roll into the back of my head. One time I did collapse against the train doors just as it was coming into a station and as the doors opened I fell out and landed on the platform and only then did anyone ask if I was ok!
  3. I think this is what happened to Andy, it was going between carriages that was the issue... That's what we think too, I wanted to guide him down but they wouldn't let me, I kept getting told to get in the car lol
  4. When we took the Supra to a show in Rotterdam last year we went on the Eurotunnel, we booked it as if we had "car with roof box" so we would be put in the larger carriages (they confirmed this) but on the way there they still put us in the narrow ones, it is a very tight fit (getting on I was allowed to guide the car in but I had to get back in after for the drive down the train). The Evo in front of us was struggling too. The sections in between the carriages are really uneven and the front nearside caught on something (we don't know what as we didn't feel anything just saw it when we got out) - I think there's a picture somewhere of us touching the wheel up whilst on the train as if there is a single mark on the car on arrival you can't put it on show! On the way back we were in the wider carriages and there was plenty of room but just make sure you are there early or they may just decide to put you in the smaller ones (which is what we think they did with us even though we weren't exactly late!).
  5. I'm not sure what Volks you have but I have these Rays ones on my GT-Cs. http://www.part-box.com/product_info.php?products_id=17067
  6. Mine doesn't throw any lights, the revs just drops and it cuts out, give it a little blip and its fine, only does it if its quite warm though.
  7. Mine hates warm starts, always has done, when I had my up-rev done at Horsham Jez tweaked the throttle position sensor as this can be the culprit, it is better but still does it. Its never really been too much of an issue, I just give her a little blip when I see the revs drop as I know its going to happen.
  8. I sat in a black one of those in the garage, I love the interior and the bucket seats are really comfy.
  9. I think a member on here had one previously, we're looking at replacing the 307 with one at some point. My boyfriend works with someone who used to work at peugeot and he said they were pretty solid and no real problems. The R is lovely inside but unfortunately too costly as a daily.
  10. The Secretary is probably more entertaining lol
  11. No, it's not the power & money......we just like the idea of having an orgasm every time Read the 2nd book.....he ditches all the hard stuff and marries her. Happy ever after Or maybe not, as there was a 3rd book (can't remember what happened in that). They have kids and she nearly dies in childbirth in the 3rd one. I vaguely remember a helicopter crash too but can't remember what one that was in.
  12. I would have thought the management agents can do something, where I used to live they used to put in a lot of parking measures so I assume they would have to sort out security issues to (along with the actual owners of the building). Will, can you pm about reasonably priced home set ups, I've been looking recently and totally confused myself lol
  13. My brother had to do it but the case involved children, which he was dreading so he just told them he couldn't be objective in a case involving abuse of children as he had two young ones himself. He was sent home after that and never recalled.
  14. That's why my boyfriend disconnected his in his supra, it was more dangerous having it on sometimes (if you know the car's responses anyway).
  15. 100mg of Diazepam (was given it as a muscle relaxant) made me ill and spaced out and certainly wouldn't have been in any fit state to drive, I dread to think what 550mg would be like!
  16. the highest point on it is not less than 25 millimetres nor more than 100 millimetres higher than an imaginary line parallel to the centre line of that carriageway connecting the surface of that carriageway on one side of the road hump to the surface of that carriageway on the other side of the road hump and passing vertically below that point; This is the bit that could catch you out, if the road is higher in the middle than at the sides (as we all know our roads aren't exactly level!). So if the road is, say, 20cms higher in the middle (probably unlikely I know), than the actual driving lanes, and the speed bump could be up to 10cms higher than that line, you're looking at a 30cm speed bump - a lot of cars these days don't have this clearance. I remember there being lots of issues with the speed bumps at Wicksteed Park for JAE and we were told that they couldn't make them any lower because of the public and they were allowed to be up to a foot high so we couldn't contest them.
  17. I have my K1 decatted, if you're driving late at night your neighbours will hate you (this is when I use my bungs!), but otherwise as long as your over 2.5k revs its not too drony (under it can be drony and vibrates pretty much everything lol), mine pops and rumbles like mad, I took it to Santa Pod and was dreading it but as you're accelerating so quickly you avoid the drone. I keep the bungs in the car as they make a massive difference in mine and can take them in and out to keep the neighbours/boys in blue happy.
