The PCM updated unit hasn't been released for my model yet. I might look into it, but once I've got some more cash to burn. You can only warranty 15- year old cars, so I could only do a max of 5 years as mine is a 2013 model. Yeah family suck, but I'm so much happier that they're out of my life. Ideally I would have told them to f off and kept the wife.

I was 40 last year so my dad decided he'd offer me £40k to buy a car. Admittedly, this was 8 months after my birthday (part of me thinks he forgot how old I was). It's an advance on my inheritance. Conditions were that I could only use it to spend on a car. Anything I didn't spend, would be lost. As I don't talk to his wife (my biological mother) or his other kids (my biological siblings), I didn't know what to do, so I took the offer. He said he was going to offer them the same. In "normal" circumstances I'd have spoken to his kids to agree what road to take (accept or decline), but because I'm not speaking to them (and haven't in years because they're knob jockeys - his wife and other kids are the MAIN reason I'm single and divorced), I said yes. Why not? I didn't know how they'd react or why not?

Considering I personally only paid £2000 for the car, it's a fair price to have it.

The problem I had with the Porsche warranty is that they don't like non Porsche parts being fitted and I HAD to have Android auto retro fitted which is non Porsche so I knew it'd be useless. It's made the experience so much better.

I'm not fussed with paying £1100 for it. It's not that big a deal. Paying for 2 would have been at the moment.

It was only a 6 month warranty.

I'll have a look at my paperwork and see if the other side has already been replaced.

Yeah I thought that too. Design911 are selling the part for £1000. People replace in pairs to avoid having to go back to get the other one sorted, but I was dreading the cost as it was. I would rather wait until the other one goes and sort it out then.

So last week Thursday on my way from home I got an error pop up on the dash. PADM - drive carefully. Took it back to the garage this morning and the left dynamic engine mount is faulty so will need replacing. Whilst googling PADM when I got home last week, I read that I could expect anything from £1000-1500 for one engine mount or £2500 to replace 2 of them. I'm worrying away thinking bloody hell, this might be expensive. After taking her to Cridfords, and having a diagnostic check, I'm happy with the £1100 they have quoted including labour and VAT. Booked her in for the 11th to get sorted and then I can get back to some spirited driving. Never had such good MPG in her 🤣

Poor Yorkshire_Zed, all he wanted was opinions of people who have done the move or have experienced both cars. This thread is now pretty much 95% useless information or arguing without experience.

Porsches aren't all that. When I was 18 (back in 2000), my mate always used to bang on about how he beat a 911 off the lights in his non modded Suzuki Swift 1.3GLX. That's obviously the car we should all aspire to have. Cheap and fast 😂

Well as usual, I just want Ferrari to do well. Don't care about anyone else too much. Although would be nice to see Alonso and the Haas boys do well.

Just sent a reminder to all of them via our WhatsApp group, to say that this Monday I'll be leaving at 6.30am. All my neighbours have now replied to say it doesn't bother them as they're already up at 7.30am getting ready for work, be it WFH or going to work. So it's definitely just him.

I get on better with them, all bar 1 of them. She's pleasant with me but I think he gets on quite well with her but has moaned to me about her before. Not before perving on her 17 year old daughter. He's in his early 50s. I've warned them all that on the first Monday of each month I have to get to work for 7am so have to leave at 6.30am. Otherwise leaving at 7.30am, I don't think warrants a warning.

We used to get on well and I'd go drinking round his. We'd put on music on and just chat about music, F1 and stuff. He'd always moan about all his neighbours (one of ours, one behind him and two to the left of him from another road). Should have figured he'd be like this.

Unless I win the lottery or meet someone else who'd want to move, this is my forever home. So I'll try the start and drive thing. Just wasn't sure if it's bad for the engine or not. I'm an admin for our village Facebook page and last week his sister was moaning about someone with a loud car waking her up at 7.36am. I take it that the whole family are like this. Although his mum (70/80 years old) has always seemed nice to me. I'd help her with stuff in his house when he was away or if he needed me to do something for him as he wouldn't be back for ages.

Yeah it does have the sports exhaust. Sounds lovely 😍 So I've heard back from most neighbours and it doesn't bother them, so I'm happy he's just being fussy. I'll try driving off straight away and if he doesn't like it, he can move 🤷🏽‍♂️
