  1. Yeah, it mentions the thread size, but i'm darned if I can find the pitch anywhere
  2. Damned if I can find out which one is the right one for the Z, but according to vividracing this one is (part no 32865-RN105), albeit with the 5mt adhesive label: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0614403950 Does this look right to you guys/gals? Cheers (If any traders have this up for grabs, would be handy )
  3. TBH, that is however the most realistic looking replica I've seen. That's not bad at all imo. Until of course he gets trounced by anything a bit quick
  4. Sweet merciful crap. Looks like someone needs an attitude adjustment. Hope it gets sorted ok and to your liking
  5. I hate anything apple But onboard graphics was a no no for games when I was building pc's aaages back. Since then I believe the downfall of pc games means there's no real point anymore in anything more than bog standard spec, aside from video editing and even then it's a stretch imo.
  6. They are standard fit, but they only work some of the time
  7. Just curious, carbon fibre or frp black canards?
  8. Fair enough, mine did affect my opinion of them somewhat But yes, one thing I did learn, don't try and save money getting a cheaper example of an M3, you'll only end up spending that difference when you could have had a sorted one in the first place. Main dealers generally being the best bet for this.
  9. Disagree Hondas are reliable, M3's aren't Least mine wasn't. Could have been a friday afternoon car though
  10. Hmm, I guess I didn't choose wisely then When it comes to renewal, I will be looking around
  11. TBH the M3 wasn't *that* bad in the snow. When it got a bit icey though, it did have slight issues on steep hills.
  12. CSL is just an entirely different beast altogether. Standard M3 is built for comfort and usability. CSL is about all out performance and fun, that's it. Heck, the airbox on it is entirely different, someone retrofitted it to a standard M3 and it was ~£5k just for the airbox. I really, really, wouldn't want a CSL as a daily, the tyres alone would be a nightmare in any conditions but perfect.
  13. It sounds absolutely gorgeous, but £5k+, for an exhaust It's imho how the M3 should sound and I think loaded had it on their csl, which is just awesome if you can find any vids on youtube
  14. Dare I say it, I did like the crackles/pops when the engine was cold and you only hear the rasp around 4k upwards I think? However the rasp was only for me for a short period of time. Wanted the supersprint setup but it's £1k+ just for the backbox. Full system I think was ~£4-5k?
  15. And maybe 6k for a service
  16. The Z was a conversation starter for someone I drove past, they were asking which model it was and commented on the nismo Maseratis, running costs, yeah, bottomless pit.
  17. Drive one, I bet you'll be blown over like I was the first time I went in an M3, going over 5k revs to the redline Rasp is also very marmite. Make sure you show it some corners though and don't go in expecting it to be massively torquey, like I was. Was surprised how much the M engines need to be revved
  18. I think once you get over the M3's rasp, you'll find it a bit cold and not that involving, but being technically a fantastic drivers car. It had to be driven with traction control off to have some feel to it imho, but then it felt oh so heavy imo. That's how I found it at least imho, a bit different for the first few months, then, I just found it not that different enough to warrant the running costs.
  19. CSL is complete and opposite spectrum to the normal M3. CS is imho best of both worlds. Bearing in mind proper CSL wheels would be very hard to find for under £2.5k and also, bmw won't even let you buy them unless you have a CSL.
  20. 3) I disagree with that, since I've had the Z it's had gord knows how many admiring looks, RX8's i've been in have never got so much as a glimmer. 4) The paint just doesn't look as nice as on the zed imo.
  21. Ah but do they have a CS? Bigger/better brakes on the M3 and the CSL wheels (only on a cs/csl) imho are a must. http://www.pistonheads.com/SALES/1999708.htm
  22. Why? just don't like RX8s ..................... ........... from day 1 1) use fuel 2) use oil 3) don't look cool 4) can't be bought in a nice colour 5) don't perform as advertised 6) need I go on ? To be fair, they don't really use oil that much and I don't think they use more fuel than the z. But as to the rest, yes.
  23. who makes the R3? +1 ...is it Audi ? Maybe?: http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/Drives/Sea ... AR-review/
