I tried to sell some alloys on another car site ages ago and didn't read the rules, my post was deleted with a polite note from a Mod to read the rules and post a correct picture, I didn't bitch or moan I just did it right the next time. Unfortunately a few bad apples have meant a crackdown that's all.

To be fair a copy of what you quoted appears on every post in this forum, it's only to stop people getting ripped off and stops arguments in the long run, not causes them. It's not over the top to ask people who want to use a place like this as a free ad site to adhere to a few well thought out rules is it? This is a fantastic site I've been helped loads and helped a few others too with my limited knowledge, can't see how this is such a big problem to some, maybe I missed something?

That's what I was thinking, I don't have a garage so quite often i clean the car and 2 days later it looks awful cos it's rained and the wind has blown dust all over it I was thinking I could cover it after I clean it and it's in a covered car park at work so I won't have to clean it as much... maybe...

On a forum like this it's simple - here is what I have ( including pic ) this is how much I want 1st person says I will have that and pays it gets messy when people say what's this worth or make me an offer, how about just sod of to fleabay! I got slated a while back for saying that someone who is worried about mpg shouldn't be buying a Z. When a friend says that I must spend a fortune on fuel I just say I didn't buy the car for it's economy I bought it for the looks and sound mainly, and they didn't do a bluemotion Z... I've never really worked out exactly what I get from my 18 mile commute to work but at the weekend I drove from just south of the Thames to just south of the Tyne so before I did some calculating. I use Sainsbury Super Unleaded, not as good as BP Ultimte / Shell or even Tesco but there you go. I thought I might just get 30mpg on the trip with a couple of stops but I was in for a shock!!! By the time I got on the M1 I was already at 30mpg and it kept (slowly) rising. I certainly didn't hang around, apart from about 40 miles of 50mph limit I sat on 80ish all the way and made the trip in 5 hours with 2 quick stops and a half hour lunch stop. Final (trip computer) mpg was 33.1 which was bang on when I filled up so was pleasantly surprised. I only bought the car in December, is a 54 plate and done 75k miles, and been serviced every 6 months religiously. I still don't really care how economical it is but nice to know it's not all bad at least!

They dont work simples. No one with a half decent install who knows what they doing uses one. Join Talk Audio and ask them they will give you a in depth answer. I ran my last system with 2000w RMS with no caps. To be fair you obviously know your stuff but the OP just wants to know what to spend a few hundred quid on which speakers sub and amp, I'm interested too as I have the same HU and although the Bose sounds ok with it (better than I thought) if it's not too expensive and difficult to improve I'm tempted.

Its certainly an aquired taste but like I said each to their own, im not a fan of body kits either, prefer the understated look with a few subtle mods here and there. Im all for individuality otherwise it would be a boring place, and im glad you guys took it as a comment on my opinions not on your cars far too many around who get too quick.

I must be getting old I just don't get black bonnets or black roofs or even black alloys... They just look council estate cheap beautiful car completely spoiled imo but hey it's your car, I've done plenty to my previous cars that I wouldn't dare show on here!

for the F900BT, you need to be able to press the reset, eject, menu and map buttons all at the same time to initiate. Looking at yours, I'm guessing the procedure is most likely to be different. quite possibly then, as i have no eject button I believe the update process is different for the 500, I wouldn't want to recommend something I haven't or can't try out myself, if you want a link to the map files you are more than welcome, but not too sure how you would get them on the unit, sorry

All a matter of taste, black alloys always make me think of non alloy cars with the hub caps fallen off...

It's all very well claiming that speed cameras just generate revenue etc etc and yes there is very little proof that they actually save lives, but at the end of the day if you speed and you get caught unless you are a footballer you are f****d!

Bit off topic but I was running my iPhone which I jailbroke a while back on 3.0, just updated my iPhone to 3.1.2 and did a blackra1n jailbreak, wow is it good, much quicker now and blackra1n is so easy, 1 click... also added Rock, just like Cydia but cooler and flashier
