  1. You guys are having me on aren't you? 380RS lights are just the standard bi-xenons... No???
  2. Didn't attend the F1 this year. But I'd take a Maloo over a XR8 Ute any day of the week too
  3. Me too Locally I've decided on an E36 BMW Sedan (slightly higher $$) but the 4-door practicality and key-ring bling
  4. That's the Maloo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07qAY6eyMOM
  5. The Caprice is the locally made equivalent of a S-class or 7-series. If your after something sporty look for a Holden SS or a HSV or Ford XR8
  6. Yup. Our state government hates you and wants your money. Mark Webber was right in calling is a 'nanny state' after Lewis Hamilton got done for a burnout leaving the Grand Prix circuit. Our cameras are there to save lives... of our politicians who use them as revenue raisers to fund broken promises and poorly managed and unnecessary projects. AFIK, you can't hire a V8 from any of the large car hire places in Oz (Avis, Hertz, Budget) so if your after one (or a Zed) you'll need to find an exotic car hire company which might be expensive. Budget around AU$300 (~GBP200) per day. Enjoy your time down under
  7. Hi all, Given this is a UK product I thought I'd try here first. I'm very interested in the ease of this product in combining video with telemetry to review track day performances to improve as a driver. Also very handy to put on continuous record for dropping it off at the dealer for a service too I've googled a fair bit but haven't found anyone who has installed it in a 350z. Very interested to know how they did it, where the installed it and if the CAN bus adapter worked for RPM and throttle position. I've read early Z's aren't CAN supported (despite what my genuine service manual might say). Or would the cheaper Performance Box be more appropriate for amateur use. Any help appreciated.
  8. My Hawk Cernamics work as good as OEM without the dust. Would recommend for daily driving. I have a set of DS2500 for light track work.
  9. Will represent your convict cousins from down under...
  10. Wow! Looks awesome. Is it not better to put the a sealant down before applying a wax?
  11. Insane exhaust! Congrats. Post sound clips pls.

    19" or 20"?

    20" FTW on the 370
  13. I share your pain. I had a similar thing happen to me but it was an elderly gentleman. You got off easy. I deliberately parked next to a space that is used for pedestrians. Old geezer tried to get in that space, wasn't going to make it so instead of backing up proceeded to drive down my entire passenger side. Damage on the rear bumper, rear quarter panel, mirror, and front quarter panel. Thank god he missed my LM's. Since he's so close and now can't get out he drives forward into a playground and over gardens back to the main road. Then drives around and comes back into the carpark, picks up his misses and drives home. Imagine the shock of the 50 people at the restaurant he did it in front of. All while I'm waiting two doors down for fish n' chips . Thanks to the friendly lawyers having dinner who promptly left their business cards and the geriatric's licence details I called the police who gave him a call at home. He admitted liability. It still didn't stop me dropping by the police station that night and filing a report against him for leaving the scene of an accident. End result he needed to go for licence check and a police endorsement that he loses it. Friends think I was harsh - I think I did the community a favour before he kills himself or someone else. This post was longer than I expected. But thanks for letting me share. Nobody understands the pain that idiots cause .
  14. ^^ top answer. Thank you. Too much of a hassle
  15. All, Hoping someone can helpnafter my search failed to give me a definitive answer. Can the 2006+ knee pads and footwell nets fit in a 2003 model? Plug n play without modification. Thanks in advance.
  16. Most likely your CV joint is making the noise and a very common issue on the Z. ZMANALEX has the fix for it. Listen carefully to which side the click is coming from and you might only need to do one side. Personally I'd do both to save the hassle later. (you can see the rubbery bit on the axle which butts onto the part that needs to be replaced). Also part circled is a drop-link or end-link. This is likely to have worn out if you have lowered the car and installed stiffer sway bars. Recommend the Powergrid end-links as replacements which are stronger.

    LMGT4's

They are now discontinued. A new set would be near impossible to find now.
  18. +1 Also always wait the proper curing time before adding another coat of sealant, wax or wax on top of sealant.
  19. When we say suede are we talking 'suede' or 'alcantara'? As my experience has been 'alcantara' wears significantly better than leather.
  20. ^ Yup. Just bought the full kit locally.
  21. Easy. Hotchkis TVS kit. http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?mode ... rodid=1344
  22. I use a rev-up airbox and Nismo panel filter. Doubt it does anything but makes me feel good knowing I tried
