Brilliant, already signed up there, just making sure it was the best one So i got the r6 fresh from showroom 2011 shape in white for 6999. I think thats an absolute steal! i see some bikes going for more than that with miles on, i certainly got a good deal, but then again, it is winter!

hey dude, I own an R6 and driven the older type. The later ones have well more power thne the old one, mine is the carb model so it's not as smooth and more of a mental little light nippy thing. I love it. Nice one, you a member of any R6 forums? I wasnt sure which one to choose Ill get some pics of her when it arrives next week, cant wait

Anybody owned an r6 on here before? im getting my new 2011 shape next week Wanted to get an HID kit for it as i hate the one light on, one light off look... on my old bike everybody used to tell me i had a light out

hmmm, i like the front and sides but i never have like any of the subaru spoilers, way OTT. Still nice choice i reckon you might end up with it for longer than you think

ive got a spare set in my car, so far used two to replace the stolen ones, i reckon some kid took them off and put them on his bike lol. I remember those days, cant say i didnt do it myself. As the others have said, put some plastic on and save the nice ones for shows, or just swallow the cost or buy some anti-theft ones

Just wanted to know if any of the 350z members here also loved the thrill of two wheels... i know i certainly do! I recently ordered a new yamaha r6 and will be picking it up next week! What do you guys ride?

Anybody thought of using a bike for commuter in the week, generally you still keep the fun bit the Z gives you plus you save on fuel, tax and insurance? Biking is in my blood now, i think its better than a shed any day :-)

I worry for my dads GT-R as he can only fill up with 99 and the car is made for 100... obviously we cant get that in the UK! Octane booster every fill up?!?!

passed my CBT in MAY and DAS is booked up (3 weeks from now) I am currently riding on one of these and its the exact same colour: Yes a small bike but it looks the bollocks and its great to learn on untill im ready to get an r6 My gear so far: Alpinestars GP Plus 2PC suit (white/grey/) Alpinestars Boots (white) Berik Gloves (These look nasty if you got in a fight) (white) Shoei Multitech Helmet (white with half tint visor) Back protector insert for alpinestars suit.. i forget the make Haha bit of a poser on the R125 Accessories: Kreiga US10 (Great for carrying the must haves (the 15kg worth of chains )and eliminates need for backpack) Kriega US30 (Great for going to the gym and generally getting about) Security: Almax Immobiliser Series IV Uber + Squire SS65CS Lock (This has to be the DADDY of all bike chains) Oxford Alarmed Disc Lock Oxford nemesis chain + Padlock Overall so far im loving biking but im still quite scared when i have to lean down for corners Also whilst riding i have the really imminent feeling im going to die so i drive uber slow

ive been able to fit four standard tyres in my Z two on passenger seat and two in the boot, i dont get how you couldnt fit one wheel? im sure it could fit behind the driver and passenger seats at an angle, although it may obstruct your rear view a little

Thanks for the replys guys, looks as if ill have to take it on the chin or perhaps buy a shed and insure that, as i cant see any point in wasting a year when i could be building my NCB up. Any idea what company you got that kind of insurance off Keyser? Would be REALLY helpful!

TBH you will always get A holes in ANY car, some more than others, price range doesn't really affect that imo.

As i will be hardly using the Z atall this year as i need to save up i just want to insure it this year basically to sit on the drive so i can utilize the year to gain another year of NCB.... is it possible to get reduced rate insurane if your only going to do like 200 miles in the year? Some sort of "driveway insurance" BTW im 21 y/o so certain companies wont insure me i dont think?

Hey mate sorry to hear about the Z having problems... I know the feeling! I reckon you should go back to 98 or better octane asap as the car is made to run on 98 running it with 95 can cause detonation when at full throttle as the engine only allows for detonation at part throttle! If you want to run off 95 get it mapped on 95?

Also if your looking at impprts the specs start going all over the place as i think the jap models were much more customizable in terms Of options, even down to non brembo brakes, worth bearing that in mind! Glad your thinking of a Z im so glad i have got one, ever since ive had Mine its been bulletproof apart from A random cut out i had today, i cant think of any Other car id want to be in except a z... Next car will 100% be a 370z and also fyi im 21 and my insuracne is 1900 with points declared and 2yrNCB and im due to renew next Month hoping for a decent cut in the premium, but not too bothered car is worth it and More!

Could this have anything to do with my recent remap and mods installation? Battery measures just under 13v with ac on idle seems all normal... Oil psi is at under 30 on idle with ac on. The car is mapped on 99ron which i run it on always, just seems so random, and unlike wht you guys seem to of experienced my engine didnt start back up and needles didnt go up and down, it died and that was it, i pulled over, tryed to start, engine tuned over then died again, then after checks car is fine? Kind of knocked my confidence in the Z a bit Also weather was fine completely dry
