  1. After reading some of the posts on here about how people have left your precious to come back and find a horrible ding/dent in their car i thought i might mention this as it may apply to some of you guys. There is a service for people within the m25 basically. Dentman utilises a system for removing dents know as Paintless Dent Removal (PDR). Dents are repaired by massaging and pushing the metal back to the original position and shape. Paintwork is left intact and the panel remains original. May come in useful for some of you guys and its lots cheaper than new panel or filler! And they come out to you which is good, i dont like my car being in the garage. Used it once back in the days when i had my polo gti. http://www.dentman.co.uk
  2. Yep, standard. What else do you want to know about folding mirrors?? So any 350? from 2002 up to 2009 any UK spec? Base or GT? Do they fold when you press the button on the key or you have to press the button after you parked? And im guessing they dont do reverse tilt?
  3. so what exactly is it with the folding mirrors is it available on uk 350Z's?
  4. thanks for all the advice and help guys. I've always been scared of high mileage cars (i always assume worst case scenario) you never know how they have been treated, at least with lower mileage you can assume less punishment for fewer miles, that's the theory of my thinking. I was just thinking, im defo going for a UK GT 2004 or better if I can but do they come with electric folding mirrors? or is that an extra on some cars only?
  5. thought so guys, thanks for the info, just wanted to get the best Z out there, with 1 previous owner so hopefully they stopped thrashing it after the first few thousand miles xD
  6. Although i will not buying a 350z in the next month or two i have been searching and looking around for the best bargains to see whats going on with the market, i decided to save up a little more for a few months and get a lower mileage 2004 350z after thinking about it for some time. Im wondering if you guys can reccommend places for me look... ive been to the following: autotrader pistonheads fish4cars motors carcraft netcars but to be honest the only ones with a good range of Z's were autotrader and pistonheads. Does anybody know other places im missing? Thanks guys! Cant wait to get my Z then i can start making it unique.
  7. Well guys ive got some great advice from all of you guys, thanks for the help, good stuff to know. When i finally find the 350z for me ill be sure to post pics and what i plan to do with her! thanks all for the welcome! great to be here!
  8. First time poster here, and hopefully many more to come! I have my heart set on a 350z for so many reasons, so ive been doing the reasearch and ive come across alot of confusing information about the updates the 350z had each year. From what i can pull from wikipedia it seems like so: 2005 - (mid-year) 6 speed manual was introduced with the 300hp/260tq rev up. Larger bi-xenon projectors, front bumper revised and rear lights use LED's. Interior changes I.E center console and some smaller changes? 2007 - moderately revised 306hp/268tq bulge in the bonnet. I Have around 10-12k (Preferably 11k) to spend and i want to get a 2005 with fairly low mileage I.E 30k or less.Does anybody think this is realistic? Am i correct in saying a 2005 350z with 6 speed will have the revisions I.E more powerful engine and LED's for rear lights? Another thing i was uncertain on is the flip up storage/navi cover - what year was this revised? mid 2005? Another question is are there any key things i should be looking for on the 350z apart from the usual stuff you look for on any car. Thanks for all your help. BTW im 20yo and in the uk any reccommendation for insurance would be good! ive got quote but they are sky high, i know im going to have to swallow a large amount but just looking if anybody elce here is in the same boat as me. Cheers!
