  1. If i'm reading this right are you saying that even after spending all that money on exhausts, berks and an uprev you get nowhere near the quoted factory figures for a bog standard car?

    RM CYA's 350Z

    Looks very nice.
  3. Thats the thing with tuning an N/A, you get so little for your money.....my old Nissan Pulsar GTIR was timed for a Banzai magazine cover feature in about 2001/2002 and with the boost wound up to a mere 14psi and an uprated clutch i hit 60 in 4.45 seconds and 100 in 11.73....cracking little cars!
  4. Cheers, didn't know horsham had done any but good to have a few options.
  5. I'm not that interested in number chasing anymore, it was something i got caught up with when I owned the pulsar and it cost me a bloody fortune, part of the appeal of the zed was that I couldn't get massive gains or minimal money. Reliability is important to me as having had 2 or 3 on the pulsar I don't fancy that again, running niggles that can be easily smoothed out i could live with. Thanks again for the replies.....is there anyone other than Abbey anyone could suggest?
  6. cheers for the replies, I didnt realise the s/c on the HR would produce 450bhp....having owned a big power Pulsar I know all about poop reliability and don't really want to venture back down that road agin...are there a lot of s/c horror stories?
  7. Hi all, I've read lots of supercharger threads with a view to finding out about the costs involved, what i've read seems to vary a fair bit depending on personal spanner skills etc and i've not seen anyone having done the conversion on the 313 spec. My situation is that my spanner skills are poor and my spare time is minimal so alas I'm one of those owners who would need to drive the car in to whoever was doing it and pick it back up a few weeks later when the work was completed. Can anyone give me a an idea of prices for just a drive in, drive out type of thing, I wouldn't initially bother with upgrading discs, lines, pads, suspension, clutch (due to additional cost) until what I have wears out or it becomes obvious I need to upgrade them before i kill myself. Thanks.
  8. Think he said it was road with occasional track action.
  9. Just seen that they are a manufacturer....
  10. I seem to remember the name Sikky being mentioned in the comments to one of the youtube videos...I take it that's someone on here?
  11. Morning all...I've been dodging coming on here for a bit but recent trips to youtube looking at various LS2 zeds in the states led me to a few google searches which led me right back here to this thread. Does anyone know know if anything ever came of the OP? did he go ahead with the coversion?....infact, has anyone gone ahead and done the LS2 conversion on their zed? I'd be very interested to know the costs involved, if i was to go ahead with something like this due to my lack of mechanical knowledge and even less available time it would have be a case of dropping of the keys somewhere and picking it back up when all the work was done, expensive but as a mechanical div i wouldn't have much choice, I'm curious about the pit falls too. Cheers.
  12. You seem tense....and I'm off out to get pizza and beer. You win
  13. I actually just popped back on to say despite some of the mods on the OPs car not being to my own taste I really like the blacked out reflectors and the rear badge looks tidy.
  14. We've got our handbags drawn and are ready to rumble.
  15. You seemed overly sensitive re the IQ comment, if I'm reading it right it was intended as just a silly throw away malice free comment yet you took it upon yourself to make an issue out of something that, in the grand scheme of things seemed issueless. You also seemed to make an uneccessary...and deeply hurtful...issue of my realatively minor grammatical over sight. And then you turned into the forum police, firstly I'd like to commend you on the use of the phrase 'insolent idiosyncrasies' and secondly, there are forum mods that are better positioned than your good self to cast judgement over such things. PS - The grammer thing wasn't in anyway hurtful...
  16. I think a standard Zed with Rays is better looking yes I am sure if I had spent £6k on wheels and bodykit I would think differently although I think those days are long gone seeing as a lot of Zeds are around that price now anyway Agreed. I do love a standard Zed on Rays, for me whist the quality of the workmanship can't be questions my personal opinion is that the car looks unbalenced, the front now looks a little to plain without the badge and there is too much going on at the back end with the addition of the spoiler, also agree re the chap who said that side skirts make the car's mid section look chubby like a 370z.
  17. You need not make assumptions of people's IQ because of kits etc as it will reflect very badly on yourself I'm out.... I'm not expert but i'm pretty certain his IQ based comment wasn't a scientific fact.....it was just a joke.
  18. Ooops...just seen you mention someone photo shopping your pic...
  19. Can't you photo shop the pic you posted.....white wheels on a Zed sounds chav-tastic to me though....your car looks spot on as it is.
  20. Differant isn't always good....as has been proven here....I think it looks awful, I don't understand why it being a drift car somehow makes terrible shut lines acceptable, if it's only a drift car why go to the expence of attempting that 370z front end....if your going to do it, do it properly. But i have to agree the V8 is very interesting.
  21. Just thought i'd sticka note up regarding my recent P3 service at the above dealer. I was searching for the cheapest way to get my P3 done, i looked at purchasing the bits seperately and finding someone decent to do the service but it was coming out too expensive, i called my Local nissan dealer, Toomy Basildon, and they wanted £380, I called DMS and they wanted £300 which is much better and Horsham were even cheaper but are a 2 hour drive away which is a shame. I thought I'd try another main dealer so called Glynn Hopkin Bishop Stortford and they wanted a mental £439 so i told a little white lie and said my local Toomy Nissan dealer would do it for £300 and asked if they would match it, obviously they said no and would only offer me 5% discount, for some reason I thought I'd call Glynn Hopkin Nissan in Colchester and ask them, they quoted me £385 but i took a chance and again told a slight porky and said toomy would do it for £300 and would they match it, without hesitation they agreed and also threw a years RAC membership in to the deal. I took the car there on Thursday and they did the service, which it sailed through, they even cleaned the car aswell so if your local and in need of a service they are a decent bunch that are keen to do a deal which helps keep a Nissan stamp in your service book, i'm not to fussed but I know there will always be those potential buyers without much in the way of knowledge will always look for when it comes time to sell.
  22. I'm the same, i priced up exhaust, berks and uprev and as much as I'm sure I'd enjoy the enhanced noise I enjoy the car as standard and right now would rather the money in my pocket. I do miss my turbo cars as the power per pound it superb!
