I cleaned my car on Saturday and tucked it up in the garage and being as it was a nice day today and i was working from home I thought i'd take it out for a quick spin in the sunshine but rather than looking as good when i put it away it was totally covered in dust so I'm thinking an indoor car cover might be a good idea. Does anyone know where i can pick one up and how much I'd be looking at paying. Cheers in advance.

Based on your opening post I'd have assumed he was suggesting it because nobbers might **** your car.....unless you drove into the car park at break neck pace in which case he may have been having subtle pop but like someone else said he might have a an Aston at home and appriciate how frustrating it is having to risk a nice car in Tesco....either way i wouldn't let it bother you.

Cheers, the pulsar was a weapon but i wish i'd left it running about 280/300 bhp but like so many people do i got carried away looking for more and more power and all it does is expose something else that's no longer up to the job.....bloody good fun though

I've cast opinion on a few pictures people have posted of there cars, some good, some bad but 3 weeks into ownership i thought it only fair to post some pictures of my own Zed and a couple of my old Pulsar at various stages in it's colourful life. I bought the Pulsar standard in 2000 i think it was...I then found a local tuner called SE Nissan who at the time at a good reputation and spent a couple of quid on various bits and bobs including the Turini front bumper for which my car was used for the first mould and following an awesome track day in Wigan (Cosworths v GTIRs v Evos v Scoobys) hosted by Revs magazine (anyone remember that one?) they asked me if I'd like a feature, these are a couple of the pictures from the shoot. I then got a little over excited and following the first of two engine rebuilds on the quest for silly power i thought it might be a good time to refresh the look of the car....at the time i was pleased with it and liked the rally look however shortly after i changed my mind as it dawned on me I'd turned an already ungly car into the sort of eye sore that could make people ill with just a single glance....brace yourselves. After that the car went off to Agra Engineering in Dundee for a proper rebuild, while that was happening i set about purchasing a rather nice HKS gt37s turbo set up with external wastegate, quaiffe gearbox, coilovers, apexi pro management and loads of other bits ready for 500bhp worth of track action but sadly redundency hit and the car got sold in bits before i could have everything correctly set up....the engine went off to New Zealand and everythinf else was packed off all over the UK. I kept out of the silly car market for a while and was set to make a come back looking at a nice Tommi Mak or one of the new scoobys but my wife led me to a zed and i fell in love with them, 3 weeks ago i took ownership of this little fella. As you can see it's had a bit of paint added here and there and a set of 19inch rotas, I'm still not sure about the rear wing in black but I'll live with it for a while and see how i feel about it in the summer. Any feedback welcome.

greekmans car isnt a normal car +1 - what rollers was it dyno'd on? I think its a freak of nature Was that 30bhp on a standard car?

I would be interested in your results if you decide to go ahead. I have a "bog standard" 313. S. And as soon as I'm able to lay my paws on £400 without the wife noticing I'll let you know. I was talking with a chap on here at the miss banzai tunnel run on Saturday night who had a remap and he had nothing but good things to say but where it was very dark and his car was black i didn't notice that his car was a 313 otherwise i would have quized him on the pros and cons a little more.

Just to add some perspective, I just said I thought someone's car looked shite, I regret if it offered the owner to the extent he said he'd leave the club and ill be popping him a pm......and I had already dropped it which was why I agreed with what beavis said.

You get stick for owning a 350z? I've always taken stick for every performance car I've owned but for the first time ever I seem to have bought a car that seems universally liked which makes a nice change....for once i don't have to defend my choice of car. And in answer to your question...i was looking at a nice tommi Mak evo to tuck up in the garage but my wife hates scooby and evo type cars with a passion and she pointed out the Zed as something she liked, i went and had a look at a few if only to keep her quiet and hope to find some glaring reason why we shouldn't buy one but as soon as i had a drive i realised what I'd been missing.

I spoke with Abbey about the same thing and they emailed me a few graphs, they seem to think around 12bhp increase and i think about the same on tourqe but by all accounts the drivability in the first 3 gears in much improved.

I had exactly the same with a Nissan Pulsar i owned for 7 years, i had it looking subtle and sexy (well as sexy as a Pulsar will ever look) and it got nothing but good feedback and then for reasons unknown i decided to go with a different paint scheme which on reflection was a bad move and although a lot of people still liked it lots thought the cheese had slid of my cracker and thought i had created a chav-tastic crap heap but that was fine with me...at the time i was really happy with what I'd done and understood that some would tell me it was shite.....which they did.....a lot

+1... ignore the tool docwra. i PM'd him telling him to sort himself out a few days ago. We're not all bad And i stand by the reply i sent you. I'm sure most wont agree with me but in my opinion but if we choose to modify our cars...especially to that extent...and post pictures on an enthusiast based web site you will court differing opinions, generally most will be good but there will always be bad....and mine happens to be bad...some people will hate it...and some people will say so. A few days on from my post upon reading it back i still stand by what i said with the possible exception of calling it a 'pile of shite' but i do think it looks awful, I'm sure at some point I'll see the car and maybe change my mind. PS....I've not called anyone a tool or an arse as i recall, just given my opinion on a car.

Granted, I could have said that, and for a zed with a kit and wing I prob would have taken the 'not my cup of tea but each to their own' route but I have a strong dislike for the way that particular zed has be tampered with. No offence was intended, my own zed has a few mods on it which might not be to everyone's taste but I've always thought if you mod your car and post pictures you should be prepared to take the rough with the smooth. Sorry if it seems harsh......but come on, it is a bit rubbish

In my opinion, the zed looks near perfect standard with maybe a few subtle mods such as wheels to bring out the best in the car, i just don't get the wings and body kits thing.....I don't know if I'm on my own here, maybe it's my age but i find the kits and wings look makes me cringe.
