  1. I honestly can't muster the words to fully convey my true feelings what a pile of shite that is.....awful doesn't even come close.....I wish I'd never seen that picture, a little part of me has just died.

I recently bought a 57 plate 313 and have the same 1st, 2nd gear issue from cold, I'd already read about it on here so wasn't bothered. It's certainly not a reason not to buy the car, I've also read on here that swapping the gearbox oil can help eliminate the 'problem'.
  3. The car is standard with the exception of a bit of paint and 19' Rotas....the standard pipes sound nice enough but i fully expect to get totally drowned out by most other motors. My only worry is that these days i struggle keeping my eyes open past the opening credits of match of the day so christ knows how I'll cope with an all nighter!
  4. Thanks very much...I'm about to head out to start now but the wife has told me she wants to go and see the film Paul this afternoon so looks like it might just be a quicky today. I'll be giving the car a proper clean next Saturday ready for the missbanzai tunnel run though.
  5. Morning all, As it looks quite a nice day I'm planning on giving the Zed a good going over this afternoon, in anticipation of the chance to have a good clean I'd got rather excited while on the i4detailing website and spent a small fortune on various bits and bobs as recommended by the chap I bought the car from a few weeks ago...but I have a problem...I was given a list of what to buy and in what order to use it but that list seems to have done a runner so I was hoping if I listed everything I have one of you kind chaps might be able to offer me some much needed guidance...it's been a long while since I have owned a car worth caring about cleaning so have completely forgot how to do the best possible job. Anyway, here is what I have: An assortment of microfibre cloths including a dodo supernatural buffing cloth, wax pad, drying towel and a washing mitt Durogloss car shampoo Britemax ultrafine polishing glaze no.4 Britemax spray and shine wet look detail spray Dodo juice supernatural wax Foam tyre shine Autoglym alloy wheel seal Autoglym leather care balm Autogylm leather cleaner Any advice on the best order to use them in and and tips on how to best apply ie a panel at a time etc would be much appriciated. Dean.
  6. I think thats pretty conclusive feedback....if you want to do a paint scheme like that by a suitable car such as a saxo or corsa. And do pass on my love to the jogging bottom and baseball cap brigade and their bored looking 16 year old crack whore chicks.
  7. I'm going to come along to this...already booked my co-pilot. Really looking forward to it, I've only had my Zed just over a week and this will be the first car related meet I've been to in years, I'm hoping to bump into a few other Zeds....keep an eye out for mine, GT57 ZZZ....i'll be driving like an old lady. I'm guessing stocking up on red bull might be a good idea too.
  8. Thank you...I knew I'd seen it somewhere.
  9. Makes me wish i was blind. Different isn't always good.
  10. Don't suppose anyone has a link to the website so can donate.
  11. 444 cars!!!! I've already got a co pilot sorted so think I'll pop along to this...sounds like a good night.
  12. Morning all, I read somewhere there is going to be a missbanzai tunnel run on Saturday 13th starting from Arena Essex from 9pm and the little bit i read sounded interesting but having never been on one I'm not sure what they are like, how they work and what to expect....Saturday nights are precious and wouldn't want to give one up unless these events are good. Has anyone here been on one? Thanks, Dean.
  13. Crap....gutted i can't make it.
  14. Only they don't fall so often I promise the car will be well looked after.....I even gave it a quick wash today and the interior will be getting the same treatment tomorrow morning.
  15. Unfortunatly I'm not around this Saturday as I'm out for a couple of pals birthdays but I'm defo up for a meeting fairly soon
  16. I'm near Basildon.....I know there is at least one other owner very local to me because I've seen him whizzing around that would be me... let me know when you get yours dude Where about's you seen me ? Seems there is no one near here at all so will be good to have a fellow zed head so local I might have mine this weekend I live just off Forest Glade and I'm guessing your just off one of the side roads heading towards Tesco, I've also parking next to you in Tesco car park once or twice. When I'm in my daily driver (A lady killer 1.8 focus diesel estate) and I've seen you around I've tried to keep up just to take in the V6 but you don't hang around This is the car I'm picking up.... viewtopic.php?f=9&t=46253 looks like a really nice example of a Zed mate well done. be good to see some more Zeds about you could always add yourself to here http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=37191 but dont put it on your address just in the vague vacinity. I did have a crack at that but not sure that i did it correctly
  17. I feel your pain, I've had to watch one or two previous moters drive off into the distance with new owners and it does suck....the worst was my Nissan pulsar....it didn't drive of it was dismantled and packed off in parts all over the world, the engine is currently doing well pushing some serious power in New Zealand. As poop as it is for you I have to say I loved my 123 mile drive home I stopped at the services 3 times on the way home to buy snacks but truth be told i didn't need to stop once....I just wanted the chance to stand and look at the zed under the lights. I took the wife for a quick spin when i got home and she LOVED it! and despite it being 7am I'm going off to the supermarket to pick up a few bits...I don't need anything, i just want to go for a little drive. I can assure you it has gone to a good home and will be loved.....I'm off to give it a hug now!

  19. Lakeside sounds good especially as its only 10 mins away and I have always fancied the ace cafe.

  22. Hi, As a soon to be Zed owner (should be collecting over the weekend ) I've been having a look around to see whats going on in and around Essex in terms of meets etc....and it doesn't seem to be much.....I've had a look in the regional meeting section and can't see anything in Essex, infact there doesn't seem to be much happening in and around London either. Am i missing something as I would have assumed there are quite a lot of owners around here? Thanks, Dean.
  23. In every car I've ever bought my first track is always by Michael Jackson....I know it's a bit gay but i love a bit of MJ....I'll be putting together a new MJ compilation for my drive home when i pick up my first Zed next week
  24. Either one of the beemers.
