  1. Hi Colin Sorry I missed your birthday ... Many Happy Returns Hugh
  2. As title, is anyone near Newton le Willows who could spare the time to have a look at this car for me? http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201212458790157/sort/priceasc/usedcars/price-from/9000/engine-size-cars/5lplus/price-to/11000/body-type/coupe/radius/1501/postcode/ch35jy/page/1?logcode=p If it is what it says on the tin then I'm interested in buying. I can pay for your fuel if you want.
  3. I'm liking that If I was closer to Newton le Willows I'd have a look
  4. Started with a Civil Engineering degree ... worked on a couple of motorways in UK ... then a couple of airports in Nigeria ... then an athletics/football stadium in Saudi ... then moved into structural design and now I do architectural design, schools mostly ... I think I've got the best job in the world ... ... oh and I'm the oldest member
  5. For architecture you've got to see Barley Hall http://www.barleyhall.org.uk/ and yes breakfast at Betty's ... there are two in York (but the best Betty's is in Ilkley) Lunch? ... recommended venue is The Golden Fleece at the southern end of the Shambles ....try the Giant Yorkshire Pudding, Four Sausages and Mash served with Gravy for £7.95 (as recommended by Martinmac in his Christmas quiz) http://www.thegoldenfleeceyork.co.uk/ Afternoon drink? Kings Arms on the river (that's why it keeps getting flooded) following a boat trip http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/48/4870/Kings_Arms/York
  6. The prefacelift ones had a CD and a remote control. They were listed as an option in the brochure I had from early 2006 but I can't remember the exact price. I believe that a much higher proportion of facelifts had factory SatNavs fitted though. Pete 2004 SatNav was an option at £1K IIRC
  7. yep agreed and the noise Yep either would suit Not at all Cant ride a bike RED for £10K ... I'm trying to borrow a 360 Stadale at the moment for Harewood
  8. Yep that's why I'm consulting the experts I've done Alfa (156), but could be tempted by a really nice Black V6 GT ... but it MUST have red Momo leather
  9. If, and it's a big if, I go for another 350Z, it will be a low mileage, standard black GT4
  10. Funnily enough, I'd love a Conti ... if only because son number one was involved in the design and packaging (along with mbs's son who, I understand, is still working at Bentley)
  11. Fixed that for you Oops - fat fingers strike again Isn't it DE (280ps, 276bhp), then a rev up (300ps, 296bhp), then the HR (313ps, 309bhp)?

  13. Good question ... I'm looking to spend in the region of £10,000.00 on this car ... could change though if I see something I really like
  14. Not so ... he's not even second !
  15. Well it's with regret that I've had to let Debbie go. She was a fast little number and she turned heads, but sadly, she wasn't much good around the house. We were together about about 18 months and she cost me a fortune, but she was worth it. The wife didn't like her much, I guess that was because she (Debbie) was better looking than her and a younger model. One of the reasons I bought her (Debbie not the wife) was so that we could all go out together for meals, car events etc.; perhaps even a road trip to Italy, but I guess it was never going to happen, possibly because the wife was just jealous of Debbie, especially when she had her top down (Debbie not the wife). “Debbie messes my hair up and I'm cold†were two of the wife's favourite reposts when she was with Debbie. “Turn that friggin' music down†she used to say when ZZ Top fired up with Viva Las Vegas. So now I'm left with Arabella (the Arosa) and Poppy (the Polo) …... and the wife I really need a new girlfriend, but which one to get? ... I've done fast, I've done very fast and I've done "fookin hell that's fast". What I really need (I think) is someone dependable, good looking (in an ageless sought of way), and comfortable, but still a bit of a goer when prodded with the stirrups. I'm thinking CLK with a big V8 …. but I'm open to advice Please help
  16. They fit over ... very simple ... 6 self tappers IIRC
