Our office was very quiet, they made and announcement over the building tannoy system and I have to say I think everyone in my area was very quite and respectful I always buy a poppy (normally several to be honest) at this time of year and I always stop and remember my relatives who were killed, injured or had to go through previous conflicts. It's something which means quite a lot to me as through a quirk of circumstances I had family fighting on both sides. The whole thing makes me feel very sad. The least I can do is remember

Dear Santa, Please bring me another year of managing my medical condition successfully, it would really help. Please could you see your way to keeping me employed in some form over the next year, hopefully doing something I enjoy and which pays the bills with enough left over so I can spend a weekend in Wales in May (and maybe afford buy a pint or two.... ). Please could you bring a year of health and fitness for all my family and friends, wherever they are. Please also could you at some point make sure I can get some replacement banana arm bushes and droplinks from one of your little elf's as well as a new drivers side electric window motor and get them all fitted. Welcome to the forum, as the you can see from the welcome posts you won't have any problems getting advice and info here Make sure you do some in depth reading here and as choptop has said, take a few out and test them. If you can go for a run in a couple of different models that would be great as well. Having a look at the car's for sale on the forum will give you a really good yardstick of what's available for your money. Bear in mind that we are a bit obsessed with the Zed here so you may find the cars for sale on the forum are among the most cared for, looked after and honestly represented. Ekona I understand your point, having just received a communication from my 'clever accountant' regards my latest VAT payment of thousands of pounds. The difficulty with any taxation system i guess is it's ongoing complexity and changing nature along with the ability of those administering it to keep up with those changes. Whether they be changes to corporation tax, VAT, PAYE, benefits that may or may not be tax deductible etc. The whole thing has to be a minefield to manage, although that's a poor excuse. As Chesterfield's pointed out, there's clearly a difference between avoidance and evasion and to be fair I'm being hypocritical as I've benefitted from some of those tax loop holes and here I am moaning! What goes around comes around I suppose. Its never going to feel like a right time to pay tax. I'll just keep paying my accountant, pay what's legally due and try not to worry about too much. I have no justification for complaining and I'm fortunate to be able to put a roof over my head and still eat, which is a lot more than some other poor souls.

The new computer system that was installed is now paying dividends, fingers crossed over the coming years there will be less errors. This will mean it's far less likely that people will be asked to pay extra or indeed getting a rebate. The HMRC, revenue office, tax man whatever you want to call them/it are just doing their job. I don't mind paying my taxes as I know on the whole I will be benefitting from them somewhere in the system, somewhere down the line. Frankly what really pisses me off are those F'ers, be they individuals or organisations. Who avoid paying tax through manipulation of tax loopholes and laws because they can afford to pay exceptionally clever accountants to find those opportunities for them (and then offsetting that accountancy cost as an expense which they can also claim for/against. The man / woman in the street is, and has been for years, getting the 5hitty end of the stick. It makes me quite angry that not everybody 'pays their way'. Such is life I guess.

Oh yes, now we're talking, I'd love a DS. Even more so if the previous owner or garage chucked in a free beret and some Gitanes to enable me to pull off the full galic look.
