I have been fine with UPS, sent a few broken xboxs by them etc... but..BUT! i have had a few friends who have lost Xboxs as they dont give you a POC (Proof of collection,) even if you ask for one the driver often says they cant give you anything you sign electronically that you have but you have nothing phyiscal so i have had 2 friends who both had a massive fight with MS about it... However as always that said they are still a huge shipping company so they cant be that bad... and as i said my personal experiance has been good.

yeah true good point i guess upgrade a few majour parts then see what happens! Still struggling to find a good forum, they all seem to be a bit masssive and not focussed! only found this one so far on Gravelhound but check the thread size!!! http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/show ... 9&page=177

cool i will try and find a forum for it as still a little unsure about it all, as some things i have read online litrally say buy a motor+esc bundle plug it in and hey presto it works but others i have read say that bits start melting and gears start shredding etc... so you need to start making everything metal etc..

did you notice a significant differnce in speed, or am i getting a bit carried away? i recon at the moment at the begging of a full charge the car probably does max speed of 15-20mpg on tarmac...
-
Do you recon i need to consider new tires and camshaft? (Just wondering if i offer the guy a big joint deal and see what he can do on a job lot of parts etc..)
-
But will i find with a brushless motor that the battery will die faster? Also the motor that linked was fairly cheap and seemed a good price, but is that something to weary of (will it die on me?) But yeah all in all serious fun so far!

wow! so today i finally got to run it with my bro! i have to say it was the most fun i have had in a long long time. We made jumps, we made an obsticle course, we made it go up the dropped curbs then jump off teh lareg curbs. It has some pretty majour bashes, flips and crashes which i thought would destroy it but nope it still runs a dream! As soon as i got it home i took off the top found a few screws had come loose so just tignted them up and then thought i woudl sort out the wiring, as the guy i got it off had not done it very well so the cover/ chasis didnt fit very flush to the body but now it does! The battery probably lasted between 10-15 mins a pop which i didnt think was bad, but I am seriously considering spending a few bob on the car just to pimp it and have some fun with it. Im wondering where to start is a li-ion battery a good place? How much should i be spending on one, how do i know what power one to get (as im thinking for £50 i might just upgrade the motor and esc to see how rapid i can get it?) Once again any advice would be ace! Or any advice on a forum i should joint to chat about it would be good! Thanks!! And anyone considering one! Seriously soo much fun!

i just had a loook at some of the trailers, and its funny as they are almost like commercialised versions, as i remember the original getaway in stockholm being a porshe 911 that at the begging gets pulled over the guy inside basically has set teh car up for a chase (cams on teh side etc) he burns off and lets them chase him....but those videos or at least the trailer loooks like track days almost its funny as back in the day they used to be one of teh only ways to see real nice cars giving it thier all on real roads, but now we just have youtube lol...
-
if i remember rightly the person driving is an x fourmula 1 driver, and it was a bet or something... reminds me of those escape from stockholm videos (or gettaway can never remember the name)
-
yup ive done it before, mine loved it too, especially with windows down and listening to the engine
-
+1 never a problem with speed bumps or pot holes, only thing to be careful of is high pavements etc...
-
seen this before so can normally do them within a couple of goes. However you always see this kind of stuff saying "in China the kids do these in thier sleep" its not true, however they do have much higher standards of certain subjects maths and sciences in particular.
-
recon im going to get up early to go down park and give it a blast!
-
Bargain really when you consider mine is £435 for the same car even more considering my gfs mini cooper s is almost the same as mine lol...
-
I got one of these bad boys after being recommended it by the drift RC lads - its a cracking deal! ESC and motor for about 50 quid. Just make sure you read up on brushless and get the right number of turns motor as I think they have more torque than a standard, so you can run with more turns? I seem to remember thats how it works. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/eZRun-Brushless-M ... 563bb8132f How bizzarre, i saw those last night was just really unsure about what version to go for, but all sounds really exciting will keep you posted on how i get on over the weekend, madly trying to find an excuse to go play with it and convince the gf to come out with me so i dont look like a billy no mates lol!
-
interesting might keep an eye out on ebay, as there seems to be really cheap second hand parts on there every so often (seen a few brushless motors going for £5) but didnt know i needed an ESC aswell... Although to be fair for the 5 mins or so i was playing with this it seemed bloody quick and very responsive! so not sure i should let myself loose on a much faster motor etc!
-
Also i tell you what i have noticed when looking at getting an RC car, is how helpfull people are when you ask them about it, call up model shops etc... but the whole proceess before that looking on ebay websites etc.. the model companies are sodding useless.... they need some serious marketing help i think because for a complete novice it is really difficult knowing where to start, how hard it is to put kits together, what else you need to buy, etc... etc...
-
ah really...so would you advise that over a new motor? Also being a complete novice can you link me to some decent mid ranged ones and some top notch ones (i have looked online but really not too sure what im looking at currently) Sorry forgot to say thank you in advance!! (and for the future no doubt!!)

HTC Phones...never had one but not sure about them (huge iphone fan! cant live without it now i have one! ) ....someone once told me the people that buy them are the same people that buy those really cheap tvs at Tesco... -
completely agree, its family entertainment now and thats why its soo successful and has many more people tuning in rather then 5th gear etc.. (although they are trying to do the same) The presenters have to be really likeable or hateable to be making it worth watching...if you lost any one of the Uk trio i dont think it would have anywhere near as many people tuneing in.. Although the James May toy show was good, as was Clarkson Speed show
-
+1 true +1 its seriously bad my way! but it does slow people right down...
-
currently it has teh standard silver motor, but i was thinking about this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tamiya-RC-RS540-S ... 2c536d021c however im not sure if i get that if i need to start messing around with anything else, and really if it will be that much faster?
-
so i got my Gravel Hound today, looks something like this: only played on it for a few minutes but boy is it fun!! although i must admit i am considering upgrading the engine to the tamiya sports version...is it worth it?
-
really like that! would make a great viral marketing campaign
