  1. Hi folks, Recently bought this, so now a fully fledged Z owner & loving it so far. Very different drive to my old S2000 so still getting used to it.
  2. depends on the profile of the cam. Stage 2 is about as far as you can go on standard management usually. you'll see some extra power, but the biggest impact will be on the way the car delivers power through the range. You'd need the remap with fitting otherwise you'll have all sorts of fun with bad idling
  3. the guy that fitted it suggested that the springs in the pressure plate were too weak so it wasn't engaging properly. there was no issue with the clutch itself, to be honest there was little visible difference between that and OEM material.
  4. I wouldn't, having had one of their stage 2 clutches on my Integra for a grand total of 6 weeks. The pressure plate is sub-standard. Caused the clutch to slip constantly at high revs. Unless you're upping power significantly, OEM or Exedy.....
  5. black one had a mechanical failure apparently, hence going straight on. Paddock Hill can be a bit interesting up there if you lift too soon
  6. Have to agree with this, its just as likely to happen in the UK. For example, I went to Slough this weekend....
  7. airfield surfaces are generally harsher than dedicated circuits on tyres - anything that reduces side wall "wobble" is good.
  8. I bet he's based in Hampshire..........
  9. the last time I let a girlfriend drive one of my cars was an ex with my Clio 172. She fell asleep at the wheel on the way to clean out her horse.......

Maybe I'm being daft, but if it's an American classic, why is it RHD? Must have come from somewhere other than the US?

the yellow ones were done for use on the track, I did Goodwood on them in March & just haven't pulled my finger out to swap them back round yet I'm planning to keep for track day use, I had a 106 GTi for that but I made the mistake of using this on track. Going back to the 106 after that was like doing trackdays in a shopping trolley. The 106 is now gone so this will be living in the garage during the week

thanks. I'm in Basingstoke (mostly) this is one on track @ Rockingham
  14. The players we've got don't suit the system we play anymore though, I think that's the problem. You can't play Torres and Drogba together and still have a 4-3-3, neither wants to play wide. Add to that we just don't have the quality of winger that we did say 2 years ago (Malouda erratic, Zhirkov is less forward-going than Cole, Kalou is turning into more of an out-and-out striker)

Thought I'd stick a few pics of my 'teg up since it got a few comments in the intro thread. Enjoy Shiney Comments welcome
  16. I predict a summer of rebuilding. I wouldn't be surprised to see some big names out of the door. Manager included.
  17. looks a nice one mate, but I will probably hold out for one with the Rays if I going for that colour. He's really not doing it justice with the wording in that advert
  18. I'm considering writing a letter to the Liverpool board to ask them to release the *real* Fernando Torres, they clearly sent an impersonator down in some sort of cunning ploy to take 50m off us before buying him back for a fiver and a curley wurley in a year
  19. my mistake it was blade silver. I was slightly put off by what I thought was a mismatched respray on the top of the car, but I understand it's common for them to look that way? http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p
  20. I've had a quick look around a gun-metal one at an independent trader in Hook, its just over 50k and he wants £10.5k for it. I'm pretty sure its been on his forecourt now since Nov last year, so its either not on the level, or horribly over-priced. I am very tempted to walk in and make him a silly offer for it
  21. The 'teg is arguably the best fwd car you can get for sensible money, so my plan at the moment is to run it as a track car while I build up a bit of confidence with RWD, so I can progress onto bigger and better for track, probably some sort of kit car although I like the idea of an S2000 too. I've seen more than a few people dive in at the deep end with big power RWD and have it end in tears, I'm a bit more cautious myself the 'teg is more than enough for an amatuer like me I'm aiming to buy a pre 2006 zed for the obvious tax benefits, hopefully something with less than 50k on the clock, GT pack. Think I want something standard, I'm desperate to avoid buying another black car. I'm really undecided on whether to get a coupe or roadster, although how much of that is down to the nice weather today is questionable
  22. thanks all for the welcome
  23. great game, having played through the series I am really looking forward to the next one
  24. At the moment I live in Basingstoke, working in Winchester at the moment - the 'teg is a great car, but 50 miles a day in it drags a bit given the mods I have had a good look through the For Sale section, there are a few in there that are of interest, fingers crossed I can find the right one for me!
  25. Thought I'd say hello, been looking to buy a 350z for the last 6 months and been lurking on here nerding up on them as best I can Seems now is the right time to buy one, so hopefully in the next few weeks I shall be making a purchase. Currently drive a DC2 Honda Integra Type R, which I will be keeping for track use Look forward to getting involved
