i want to fit a new gear knob to my car. i like the OEM one and want to stay with that. however mine is all scratched and buggered on the shift pattern. what i want to know is..... will a 08 knob fit on my 04 car? as i have sourced one from a 08 write off. its in peterlee so i can view it to see if its any good. and i thought that 35 delivered wasnt bad. stupid question i think but its better to find out now before i buy one. if anyone has a black knob in good condition (no/very little damage to the shift pattern) let me PM me a price delivered to london. cheers in advance Sparky

im glad to say all my cars have been reliable 1989 nova 1.2 merit- usual servicing stuff, plus clutch cable in 4 years and 50k of motoring 2000 clio 1.4s usual servicing stuff, new clutch pressure plate. (still got her and running strong at 90k) 2007 fiesta ST. usual servicing stuff. thats it. 17k of miles 2004 350z GT, running well, touch wood. but my father in law is a totally different story!! he is the grim reaper for cars. as soon as he drives it about a week later they break down. he will never drive my cars!!!! lol Sparky

this is available on all years, i have a 53 plate and will be getting this done soon!!! they seem like really good chaps but it was only a brief visit!! really good gains can be got from a good remap!! Sparky

HI there, a few have gone for around that price but they will be import ones not UK cars. but they look mostly the same with a few minor body changes (like the number plate recesses) if you not bothered about high mileage or and older car then your be laughing!!!!!!!

no, i live in surrey, nr london! if u want it PM me, after all this i think people just wont bother to offer it up for free, the only things for free are usually not things that u want!! and at the end of the day, other people had/have to pay for mods and such like so to ask FOC is just silly. regardless of the cost, i might go into curry's tomorrow and ask for that PC lead i wanted. but i want it free coz mine broke. sorry pal, its not the way the world goes round Cheers Sparky

hi there, picked up my used scorpion exhaust today and although the gaskets are OK, i want to replace them for the Cats and the mid pipe. where can i get them from and roughly how much? also where the mid pipe slides inside the back box is there anything other than gum gun that i can use to seal the joint? i have heard of a sort of silicon that has a really high temp threshold. it was called "red" something. i dont like gum gun as it doesnt last and it is really messy!! today i got a email from Steve at team lizard (MrLizard) to say that the exhaust that was coming off his car was now available to pick up! so, i was working in the isle of wight and thought i'd try and pick it up today! so after numerous delays it got to about 17.20 and abbey shuts at 17.30. i rung them and said that i was on my way to pick up the parts and they said it could be a problem as they didnt know i was coming and that it was still on the car! DOH!! anyway, they whipped it off F1 style and really sorted me out!!!! all i wanted to say was cheers guys and expect another visit from me soon to get a remap!!! Sparky

a good refurb will cost alot less than buying some mate,. max cost 120 for 2 wheels. had mine done at a local place for 50 per wheel but that was for a refurb and a powdercoat, i took the tires off and delivered them myself tho. Sparky

i got a 65-70% tint all round on my ST, and lets face it, its a boy racer car. i had no trouble in the 10 months it was on. i was even complimented in ilford police station where i was working for a few weeks. i think they only pull you if a) your driving like a tit if they are proper limo black, ie 100%. the backs can be whatever you want but the fronts have to be <30%. IIRC. i will want to do this at some point. out of interest, is yours a "film" that just sticks to the window? or is it "dipped". i perfer the dipped look but its more expensive. Sparky
