  1. I'm just about to have my tea - I'll be back with quotes in a bit
  2. I'm pretty sure you could reuse them - when we take the old bushes out there's no damage.
  3. Looking good Chris Theres loads of room - I've got those calipers on my 200SX under 17" wheels - theres got to be less than a millimeter between the caliper and wheel and they're fine
  4. I had a dodgy crank sensor on my car. Symptoms were intermittent misfire, but no CEL. I'd be surprised if the new sensor was faulty, although its possible. Do the old and new sensors look identical? You need to find out the error code and go from there.
  5. Yes, that looks like the right part for the compression arm I've only tried the Superpro kit on the 350Z, so not sure how they'd compare to Whiteline. If you do go for Whiteline I'd be interested in any feed back you have. We can supply all Whiteline products - if you'd like a quote PM, email or call
  6. 2007+ 350Z with the VQ35HR engine: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php ... s_id=25465 370Z: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php ... s_id=25466
  7. They are for some reason - the 350Z HR takes Denso FXE22HR-11 (the 370Z takes FXE24HR-11) and unless anyone knows better there's not an alternative. Andy, sorry we didn't have them in stock when you were over - we're getting some in soon
  8. Genuine Nissan 350Z window motors now in stock. We have both passenger and drivers side - available for next day shipping. Buy online here: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php ... s_id=25463
  9. I dont think thats the crank sensor. Theres a thread I found here - seems to bequite common: http://my350z.com/forum/vq35hr/307878-s ... up-35.html
  10. I had this problem on one of my cars - turned out to be the crank sensor. Symptoms were intermittent misfiring, no fault codes logged. When it missed the rev counter would jump about a lot. I stuck an oscilloscope on the output to confirm a dodgy signal. Ended up just cleaning the sensor and mounting face and it was fine since. This was on an 2004 car, so VQ35DE, your 350 will have the VQ35HR engine but I'd imagine it'll use the same sensor.
  11. 50k with 2 sets on my daily and no probs
  12. Syvecs is my prefered choice of ECU - very flexible with loads of great features. GTR / 350Z support will be out very soon. Its very popular on Subarus, Supras and TVRs. I've fitted it to my S13, Lancia Integrales, a 3dr Cosworth and we are currently fitting it to a turbo Hayabusa thats in a MK Indy. My 350 will be getting it at some point too. Comes with pretty much everything you'd want: launch control, anti-lag, closed loop knock, nitrous control (wet or dry) etc etc. Has a lot of nice safety features too - which are great if your engine is running close to the limit. Haltech seems like a good plug and play choice - I've messed about with the software but not fitted to a car yet.
  13. In the Intro course we use Syvecs / Life Racing. In the more advanced courses we cover whatever the attendees want, as we usually run quite small groups. Do you have Haltech on your car?
  14. Next Intro course is on the 3rd February at Thruxton circuit - more details to follow soon
  15. The main thing about getting a remap is that the fuelling and ignition timing will be optimised for the setup on your car. You can fit the mods without a remap but you will not see such a large gain as if you had the ECU recalibrated to suit. On the '04 UK cars closed loop (using the lambda sensors) is only used on low load and not full load. So while the car will still run safe, it won't be ideal.
  16. All the course have hands on sections and some have practical demos with a car on a dyno. Always best to practice under controlled conditions where mistakes are not a problem

    UPREV

Uprev is a system that allows tuners to remap the standard ECU. What you get with a Horsham Developments Uprev remap: Increased throttle response - no restrictions or delays in the lower gears Better fuelling resulting in more power and often better fuel economy Modified ignition map - optimised for for your car Top speed limits removed On some cars it is also possible to have multi-maps - this allows different rev and speed limits as well as different fuel and ignition maps. Map switching is done using the cruise control switches and can be done while the engine is running. We can setup a valet mode limiting engine rpm and the cars top speed free of charge. We charge £399.99 inc VAT for a remap at Surrey Rolling Road. We've got a few customer cars with mods and power graphs here: https://www.facebook.com/media/albums/?id=180058090830 Any questions, just ask
  18. We presented our Intro to engine management and mapping course last Friday. As usual, the people who attended found it a great day out. A write up by one of the attendees is here: http://www.272heroes.com/21-11-2011/bac ... nd-mapping

  20. They shouldn't make the noise. If they're still under warrenty I'd get them replaced. If they're not under warranty then you'd need to find what casuing the noise (it can be the top mount) and then get that part replaced. We can get hold of all BC Racing parts I'd recommend getting the dampers sorted asap as the BC Racing springs wil overwhelm the standard shocks, which is why the car feel bouncy. It'll be very underdamped and will probably be lacking in rear grip.
  21. Bry, when I was looking for a dog I considered a Newfoundland - theres a guy on the farm with one and I went along to a Newfy meet where there were loads of them. I think they're great dogs and yours sounds like he's got a good character. I decided against one in the end, just from the size / mess / slobber potential.
  22. I've just picked up a black lab puppy. My parents used to have a dog when I was a kid, this is the first I've looked after. Arthur - about 9-10 weeks old:
  23. Just switched over adn saw MASSIVE OWL FACE - amazing photography.
