  1. A few friends and I are doing a trackday at Rockingham on the 12th August (which is a Sunday) - going up on the sat afternoon, couple of beers and then drive in circles for the day Book here if you're interested : http://www.trackdays.co.uk/book/cartrackday/5743/
  2. Plenum spacers help with high rpm breathing - combine with HFC/de-cats and a remap and you'll get roughly 20-30bhp more. We usually see a power decrease with induction kits and uprated panel filters don't make a different at this level of tune. We sell plenum spacers: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php ... s_id=25052 There some pics of a recent car we did here, spacer + remap: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set= ... 830&type=1 And this was spacer, high flow cats, Milltek and remap: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set= ... 830&type=3
  3. Thanks for the referals guys We can help get more from your Z - give me a call / pm / email if you'd like further info.
  4. It was at the fly - I mapped it Video here: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10150945577520831
  5. Thats very rich. The 2nd (red) run is richer than I'd run on a high boost turbo engine. A remap would sort it out and probably get you a few bhp.
  6. We're just off J13 M4 and specialise in the 350
  7. Thanks for the praise - I really appreciate it I've got some pics of williams car here: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set= ... 830&type=1 And a video of tprices supercharged car here: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10150945577520831
  8. We can supply, fit and map plenum spacers. They'll give you a little bhp gain at high rpm, it varies from car to car. We got about +10 bhp on a car with silenced de-cats. Graph shows the same car before and after our spacer was fitted. Car was remapped and had de-cats on both runs. Spacer is here: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php ... s_id=25052 - in stock ready to ship - if you'd like us to fit it and map the car drop me a pm or give us a call on 01635 247477 - we are quite a way from Suffolk though.
  9. I've been thinking about this a bit more since you came over. I think it's still sensor fault of some sort. Try the list of things I mentioned in my email, in the order I listed them: Swap out crank sensor Take the cam covers off and check the cam trigger wheels I can't see how the engine would run so smoothly if there was a mechanical fault (timing chain, flywheel issue)
  10. This is the system I used when you were over: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php ... s_id=25507 Real consult 3 devices are available from Nissan only, but cost thousands.
  11. In that case, yup - sounds like you need a rebuild. You should be able to find a box rebuild place somewhere near Cambridge. Let me know if you can't find anywhere - I maybe able to help.
  12. Gearbox noise is really common. A rebuild should fix it, but the box will carry on fine for thousands of miles with the noise. Using Genuine Nissan gearbox oil and molyslip can help reduce the noise a little: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php ... s_id=25501
  13. We're running another Introduction to Engine Management Mapping on the 25th June at Thruxton circuit. We've got a few spare places left and can offer 350Z-UK members 10% More info about the course is here: http://www.emacademy.co.uk/IntroductionToEngineManagementMapping.aspx We've also had a few reviews, they can be found here: http://www.emacademy.co.uk/Testimonials.aspx If you'd like to book, email jez at emacademy co. uk or call 0844 8400121 and say you're from the forum
  14. Thanks for the recommendation - doesn't seem to have made any difference
  15. No, not shared. My GFs Macbook works fine - its something to do with my laptop I think.
  16. I access the forums from work (where everything works fine) and home, both on dynamic IP addresses. I'll upload my avatar again now
  17. Just tried all that - no difference Its quicker for me to VNC to my PC at work and go from there... On another note - any idea why my avatar doesn't work? It seems as if the imagine is no longer there.
  18. I've got a bit of a problem with this forum on my windows laptop. When I click on links there is a ~95 second delay, nothing happens and then all of a sudden the page loads fine. Heres the results of some testing I've done: Laptop is fine with other forums and web sites Sometimes the page will load quickly, but only 2-3 pages and then it goes slow Ping test to 350z-uk.com is fine all the time (resolves instantly to 94.76.203.122) Problem occurs with Explorer, Safari and Opera There no problem on my GFs Macbook During the waiting period, if I try to view a page in another browser it is also delay and then they both load the page at the same time. I dont think its a broadband or wifi problem - seems to be a problem with my laptop and 350z-uk.com Any ideas of things I can try? Drives me nuts
  19. Cheers for the recommendation We're just off J13 of the M4 - not in Horsham (thats my surname) - about 25 mins from Reading. We should be able to help sort your problems and have the parts required to fix common knocks in stock. Give me a call on 01635 247477 or get in touch via PM
  20. My cars were both on 54 plates. The dyno place you used probably won't have any useful data, except for maybe the fuelling. Blue car - showing standard power 257bhp and after spacer, de-cats and remap: Silver car - std vs spacer, de-cats and remap
  21. Could be cam timing - although if it was stuck with zero advance I'd have expected it to make the same power because at high rpm it's pretty much zero as standard anyway. I did try remapping, so don't think it's anything to do with the ECU. My blue car made about 254bhp standard and then 283bhp with de-cats, spacer + remap. My silver one made 278bhp standard and 309 with the same mods, same dyno, same spec and same year. The next lower power car I do I'll store all the logs so I can compare air flow, ign timing and cam timing.
  22. I've seen a few Zeds around the 250bhp mark (at the flywheel on DD rollers) when standard - I owned one for a while and a few customer cars have been the same. I've not got to the bottom of why though.
