Was it a bumper off job? I'm thinking of doing something with mine as I feel it would be of benefit with the FI. I don't really want to cut a nostril in the bonnet if I can help it, so something like what you've done may suit. Another option maybe to extend the intake pipe and fit the filter behind the bumper somewhere.

The fuel additives are pretty safe, but most of them don't seem to do a great deal. The only one I've found that seem to do anything is the STP complete fuel system cleaner and I've used it on all my cars for the last 10 years or so at service time without any issues. It was the old REDEX type OIL treatments that used to loosen deposits around the piston seals on older cars causing oil to be burned.

That's good to see, and well done for actually testing it. I fitted one to my old TT6 Supra and it did feel a bit smoother. I never done anything as in depth as putting a scope on it, but I did measure the resistance from battery ground to different areas of the car before and after. On average I saw a 0.15 Ohm drop in resistance with the kit fitted. So I figured it must do something. Maybe I'll get round to fitting one to the zed, I've had one sitting in the garage since I bought the car.

I too have spotted MAGNEX and MONGOOSE making a return! Both were good brands when I was a lad! Think I mite go out on a limb and get one this weekend! Yeah man! I had a magnex on my Cortina and a mongoose on my 300zx both were good quality and sounded great.
