All thebuying guides say bumper gets a hammering so I expected to see one that had been resprayed when I went shopping. Infact I walked away from one because of the state of the bumper... respray wouldn't put me off

Zed is all wrapped up at the mo will get a pick when I take it out next, been using meguires gold class tho so far. I assume they had used some sort of tinted treatment. (Like that suede restorer) that has slowly lifted off.

Ok so there are a couple of annoying leather scuffs that - the previous owner had sorted. Obviously just temporaryly.... I assume this is some sort of valeting trick to make wear/scuffs disappear - anyone know what it is? Its annoying me now and I want them back to the condition they were when I got it...

I have brand new belts on mine... started getting a bit of a squeel when cold which goes after a couple seconds. But found the other day I can get rid of the squeel by turning aircon (which comes on automatically on demist) off ...so not too worried!

The effects are good and they definatly made the most of the 3d capability in places which is brilliant. Unfortunately I don't think full ptential was realised...the plotline is about as transparent as a plate glass window and feels lifted from other films e.g bang on final fantasy spirits within, with Gia and a few other earth mother religions. Some pretty **** poor transparent ethnic references and blatant parallels with american indian culture too. From such a great stable I expected more depth. Worth going just for the great visual effects which keep you fixed to your seat and good for kids IMO, but leave your brain at home.

Ok done a bit of research.... it seems to catch a lot of flack from a lot of people. Most based round the it can't work like proper clay bar and can only really work like a polish. Does say no snakes were harmed in the making of this product Think I'm gonna have a good look over the car I think and try doing a bit with proper claybar and a bit with the turtlewax stuff and see if there is any noticeable difference between the 2. IMO it didn't seem to do much... but wortha try!

Its a suspension by the looks. Shake it up and apply to a pad like polish. Work back and forth on paint work with pad then wipe off. Easier than clay bar for sure. I assume they have basically made claybar solution with speed detailer in or similar. Made by turtle wax.

Ok got some to try out.... car is pretty clean so maybe I'm not seeing the improvement. Anyone else used it? Opinions?

I'm still undecided about techwax. Used to use gold class all the time but im not sure its an improvement. I use detailer as well when wax won't come off properly.

Was that shot blasted and factory finish? any chance of a closeup on the finish? But if they had to re-do them Its not a good sign TBH. Was thinking of getting mine done after the naf weather by prestige wheels but they want £300, No curbs but they are looking tatty. Think I may get the potenzas replaced with Toyo's as well as have had a couple wiggles recently...

Mine sits wrapped up most of the time and have a little french slave that we drive around in as its a shed load chepaer on petrol. If it doesnt come out at the weekend I start her up let her run until warmed through, stick the demister on (plus stick aircon on a bit is a good idea over winter) heating up high to dehumidfy the interior to prevent moisture build up and give it time for the alternator to recharge battery. Roll her forward and back a bit then wrap her up again. Job done. If you are storing it long term then look in to using WD40 to prevent moisture creeping in/protect some parts, vaseline rubber seals etc and stick small dehumidifer bag in. But unless you are going to do some serious prep work its easier to just start the motor for 10-15 mins once a week to preven engine seizure.

Well.... how much weight do you save from some of the carbon components Sell as cheap race lightening.. cheaper than the alternative Plus new svelte figure will not upset the balance as much.. 3 way winner...hang on that's just two...

It may be that "melting" talked about is because although Pure Carbon fiber has a melting point in the thousands, what you are actually dealing with more often than not is Carbon fibre composite in most cases Carbon fibre reinforced plastics (CFRP) (though other materials are used in specialist industries I believe) Its possible that there are instances where the plastic has a low-ish melting point (dependant on the resin or if polyester is used) however if plastic plenum's are not melting and a similar matrial is used in the CFRP the carbon is not likly to cause melting and add tensile strength. The final heat resliance of the product will depend on the weakest part of the link i.e. what they are mixing the fiber with but very high temperature CF products can and are made.

Bugger... Did you reported it to the police? Its an outside chance that they will do anything and as he didnt actually hit you its dubious if they would consider it but driving away from the scene of an accident is an offence, it cant hurt to ask.

That would have made one hell of a noise if it fell off whilst driving... maybe someone was shopping for spare parts! Bizarre!

Used autosol for years my old cars ss exhaust. Once you have it clean only need to autosol it every now and then to get it shiney. I use cheap disposable polishing cloth on a roll. Saves wrecking a good cloth.

Already got the 350z vs 350z mini scalextric... Think the track may be small enough to fit on the cargo bay! Hmmmmmm I see a plan forming ... Not a bad kit ... cars are ver small tho and have "need for speed" stuck on em... Definatly worthy comedy christmas present for zed owners.

Right ho.... Before I ditched my old car i ripped all the components out of it, but before I sell em I want to check if its worth sticking them in the zed. So a bit of advice before i even consider riping things apart.. Front component speakers - What size are tweeters? Do they run off the headunit or pre-outs to a slaved amp? What is the rating (ohm and RMS/peak) Where are the crossovers? Are the bose better than Rainbow CMX 265 (kick varient if i remember correctly)? Sub woofer - Size? I have a JL V12W3D4 - would it fit? ( is it worth it) Also equaly output rating? And ran off head or are there pre-outs to a slave amp? kit I have kicking about also includes genesis profile 4 and a JL monoblock as well as co-axial 5x7 but what happens to them depends on if i can use em. lot of q's I know! any help or pointer appreciated!

nice to see everyone and good fun day... went for spin with the drifters... I got the psychotic one, a kid infront of me refused to get in the car with him. Managed to hold out till the end even with kirsty running a temperature bless her... Those ...ahem ....ladies liked the front row didn't they lol. Good run out afters in mini convoy. Got to bury a tosser in a yellow 230 kompressor on the way home as well who was unable to tell that a red light does not mean crawl across the line in to the. Junction.... tooo slow pal get back in the que Even did our good deed for the day... found a dropped mobile in the services.. rang owners sister... caught up with em a few miles down the road and returned mobile to greatful and a very suprised lady. I'm a saint me......
